According to former President of the Republic of Ireland and former UN commissioner Mary Robinson, more feminism will solve the climate crisis.

Climate change a ‘man-made problem with a feminist solution’ says Robinson

JUNE 19, 2018

LONDON, June 18 (Thomson Reuters Foundation) – Women must be at the heart of climate action if the world is to limit the deadly impact of disasters such as floods, former Irish president and U.N. rights commissioner Mary Robinson said on Monday.

Climate change is a man-made problem and must have a feminist solution,” she said at a meeting of climate experts at London’s Marshall Institute for Philanthropy and Entrepreneurship.

“Feminism doesn’t mean excluding men, it’s about being more inclusive of women and -in this case – acknowledging the role they can play in tackling climate change.”

Climate change is the single most pressing global injustice facing present and future generations, and one of the greatest human rights challenges of our time. – Linnea Engström (MEP for Sweden’s Green Party)

Granting women control over their own reproduction would combat overpopulation and reduce carbon emissions – Mary Fitzgerald, The Guardian,

We urgently need to develop a new international and intersectional feminist agenda that represents the interests of the majority of people living with the vagaries of the global capitalist system. But where are the feminist cries for action on environmental pollution and climate change? The call for a ‘50:50 planet’ surely must be accompanied by politicized concern for the state of the very planet that is to be divvied up equally between men and women. – Sustainable Consumption Institute, University of Manchester

Feminists have been rebranded as Terfs, Trans Exclusionary Radical Feminists and it’s getting ugly. A climate of hate. The Terfs didn’t like men who merely ‘identified as women’ – ie a physical male – being allowed onto female only shortlists.

A 60-year-old woman was pushed to the floor and punched in the face during a row between feminists and trans activists at Speakers’ Corner.

Climate change – caused by white men. She’s crazy however, I have noticed more and more women claiming there is a problem with the climate.

The problem for policy inclusion is not about the inclusion of feminism. It is the inclusion of those countries where the production of fossil fuels contribute a large part of their national incomes. Does anyone seriously think that Russia, Turkmenistan, Iran and other Middle Eastern countries would consent to reducing their coal, oil and gas outputs to near zero in a generation from now?
To put the problem in perspective, I used McGlade and Ekins 2015 figures for estimated proven fossil fuels reserves and recast them by major country.

To meet the so-called IPCC 2C warming target, 75% of these reserves, and 100% of any future proven reserves, need to be left in the ground.

They would at least put on appearances if they were paid to do it. No trust and no verification would ensue.

Women have plenty of legitimate complaints. How are these supposed to be addressed when we all have to fight through this inglorious nonsense?

It’s not the men using hairdryers.

Someone tell that silly cow to drag her flabby behind out of the 1970s, which is before she was even a twinkle, and stop using words she doesn’t fully understand.

She is not a member of my species.

What a bimbo!!!

Well said Sara. I remember my mother 60 years ago having to boil the copper to wash the clothes. Now I , and my 87 year old mum, shove everything into the washer and press a button. Or do those idiotic feminists intend we go back to coppers? Have they thought about the global emissions and destruction of tree habitat to undertake that. Frankly even if using my dishwasher and washing machine was actually contributing to global warming, bloody great. I suspect Mary Robinson has staff so she can ignore reality. I just get on and do it. Would the feminazis please shut up and stop giving us sensible women (hopefully most if us) a bad name.

They all have staff. They are the Cloud People, up there above it all, while the rest of us are down here doing all the work. They also try to take credit for what we do or did, when they don’t deserve it. Virtue Signaling is a very bad habit.

Does Mary mean that women can play a role by stopping the use of electric hair dryers?

June 18, 2018 5:07 pm

Feminism never solved anything. It did and does destroy, but never solves.

June 18, 2018 5:19 pm

I have zero doubt that if Judith Curry (US), Susan Crockford (Canada), and JoNova (DownUnder Land) were put in charge of the world, then man-made global warming would be solved overnight.

But that has nothing I suspect to do with feminism.

And as an aside, just remember, Hillary was supposed to US President in the eyes of the Left. Not The Donald. It’s Trump’s fault.

Ditto Sci-Babe of the Great White North Donna Laframboise. Compare and contrast with science-corrupting ecohag Naomi Oreskes.

And ask Sally Baliunas about the “heteronormative, cis-gendered patriarchy” guarding the “climate change consensus”.

At the end of the day, Laframboise is still just a journalist. Unlike the 3 I named.

Surely not the same Mary Robinson who sought a 2 Million Euro tax break for the ‘donation’ of her papers to a presidential library, when all previous presidents donated theirs pro bono.

And whose brother happens to own the house that is being purchased by the state to house the library – in the middle of nowhere and of no interest to anyone…

Lack of funding for abortion clinics?

Lack of funding for Emily’s List candidates?

Women in combat MOSs?

Do those count as “problems”?

And of course, with more American citizens aborted, the need for cheap, exploitable illegal immigrant labor rises. A win-win for the demonic, anti-American, anti-human Democrap Party.

Women, yes. Chauvinistic ideologies, no.

Equal in rights and complementary in Nature.

Feminists sure forget how “Big Oil” and “Big Coal” saved them a lot of drudgery work in the kitchen and home.

Most of the work done by humans until recently was women carrying water.

Fossil fuel-powered pumps have saved our species that drudgery. Wind and sun can’t compete.

Actually when you think about it, being a sceptic and a feminist is very similar.

Both blame Mann for nearly all the problems.

She is an utter nutter. I spoke with her about 7 years ago when I was working in Ireland at a N. Ireland/Ireland summit meeting. She is the rare case where she believes in a one world government as well as she really believes that human caused global warming is real, as well as it will cause the migration of millions of climate refugees. She is not faking her belief in this. She is typical of the uninformed EU politicians. They are really nutters from the fringe.
