The End is Nye – @BillNye the "Science Guy" loses his last shred of credibility – implosion imminent

From the “if Bill’s genitals could talk, what would they say?” department…and Josh.

First up, Bill led the march for science with Mike Mann recently….

…and then had a bizarre episode of his Netflix show that immediately followed. From Natural News:

In his latest plunge into quack science lunacy, Bill Nye has teamed up with Rachel Bloom in a vulgar, laughably embarrassing, science-excoriating “transgender anthem” video called “Sex Junk.” The song’s lyrics, which promote the whacked-out myth that human sex expression is not binary, include lines like, “Sex how you want, it’s your goddamn right.”

Another line from the vulgar song goes like this, while Bill Nye gyrates in the background:

This world of ours is so full of choice. But must I choose between only John or Joyce? Are my options only hard or moist? My vagina has its own voice.

The song goes on to claim that transgenderism is all part of “evolution” … an assertion that has real scientists cringing everywhere.

After the cringe-worthy song finished, Bill Nye sums up his lunacy by stating, “That’s exactly the right message, Rachel, nice job!” If Charles Darwin were still alive today, he would no doubt squash Bill Nye with a giant Galapagos tortoise.

“The video was quickly excoriated by viewers, with the YouTube version receiving more than 10,000 dislikes compared with just 170 likes,” reports Breitbart News.

Yikes.

Josh has two takes on it:

Then, after his vulgarity video espousing sexual choice, he lectures us on having less children to save the planet:

Even certified warmists like Andrew Freedman are now questioning his credibility in the climate cause, citing this story:

Bill Nye Is Not the Right Guy to Lead the Climate Fight

The implosion has begun -the end is Nye

This is clearly an attempt by Bill to be accepted by the left by jumping on the bandwagon which was forced into the March for Science. This was exactly what the organizers did not want to happen when they attempted to exclude those who wished to make their march about what others claimed was discrimination against those of differing sexual orientations than the mainstream. Since Bill Nye has made a career of saying and doing what others have told him to say and do he use of his own judgment and discrimination has obviously atrophied.

Bill Nye net worth $6.5 Million, most of it coming from television.

Apparently he was in need of replenishing his bank account. Bill Nye the money hungry guy.

Bill Nye IS the science guy. But science has become something different that what most of were taught. Science is the club that’s used to justify a desired political outcome. Look at the trailer in that context and Bill is eminently qualified to be its spokesman.

Seriously, nobody would know who he is if he didn’t have a kids’ science show (and Beakman was better anyway).
And I doubt he would have had that gig if his name wasn’t Nye. Bill Munce the Science Dunce doesn’t quite work out, for instance.

Bill Nye is not the worst they’ve got, he’s the best they’ve got. None of the Team of warming proponents dares go head to head with Dr Happer or even Tucker Carlson. Remember the debate planned by PBS (? ) between Gavin’s Schmidt and Roy Spencer. Gavin’s refusal to be at the table for a one on one with Roy was telling. He was filmed exiting the set and skulking away stage left at an embarrassing speed as Roy entered stage right. Roy seemed momentarily startled by this cowardly display. Gavin gave a “physics based” hand waving memorized interview without a word about evidence of a crisis warming or its cause.
Dr Mann as a witness on a House scitech hearing, didn’t attempt to show an inkling of science on what the climate fuss was about, but spent his time sniping about Curry, Christy, Pelke Jr being serial d’июli§t$, antiscience and even smeared the Chairman of the House Ctee.
Lord Monckton handily won the annual Oxford University debate which was on global warming a few years ago. They pitched the best they had for this celebrated debate, and let’s give a hand to the voting audience of students, who undoubtedly had been flogged for years with one sided crisis stuff of climate. They appeared to want to avoid tarnishing this long tradition for Oxford and voted fairly.
If Bill Nye goes, then the New Republic will have to face an unhappy truth about global warming and it’s ‘champions”. Will the New Republic be able to handle the glaring truth?

“Finally, a solid story takes on the damage Bill Nye is having on climate science discussions”
You could also file this one under the, “warmists latch on to ANOTHER thing that skeptics have been lauding this whole time, claiming AGAIN that finally someone has said it as if it’s an original take”.
Anyone else ever get tired of being told you’re wrong, both before and after the opposition agrees with you? I guess we’re just really lucky at “guessing” in matters involving the climate debate, always right, but always for the wrong reasons?

I saw something on the ‘net a day or so ago where a girl was applying facial make-up with her boyfriend’s testicles. So in this new era Is Nye polishing the bald head of his most distinguished marching partner?

So what’s next? Advocating that sufferers of body integrity identity disorder should be clinically paralyzed, blinded, or deafened, because that’s just how they feel? Maybe start lopping off limbs from those with apotemnophilia? Could I get some albatross wings sewed onto my body because my mom always said I was an angel?

Even Slate is having a WTF reaction at the “science” march:

Thanks for linking, I would have missed that. The essay is uplifting, but the 2500+ comments depressingly confirming of how stupid the vast majority of Slate-reading science worshipers are, anyway. He lampooned last week’s big announcement linking diet drinks to dementia. The headline in my newspaper read “Diet Drinks Can Cause Dementia” but the attached AP report stated clearly “causation was not shown”. [Sigh]

Nice of them to (kinda) catch on to the Gaia worship.
Much like religionists pulling a few bits of real history out to prove their version of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, Climatists will pull a few bits of real data out to prove The Next Coming Catastrophe (that can be deflected by sending a very few dollars to Box 34, etc.

Not quite the snark festival feminist glaciology was, but a good effort. Nye had been hanging out at a few too many demonstrations, and thinks exhibitionism is normal, which is the case at demonstrations..

Hilarious and we should all encourage Nye to take the most high profile lead of the alarmist movement possible. If only the USA could be in the Eurovision Song Contest (Australia was in it last year with a fairly decent song so I’m guessing even a passing knowledge of geography isn’t a bar to entry these days as far as the Eurocrats are concerned). To paraphrase Napoleon, never interrupt your opponent when he’s making an utter prat of himself.

Occam’s Razor, folks. He perceives (or is being counselled) that he can make more money, faster, by appealing to the young lunatic progressive fringe. Let’s face it, he’s fast approaching his celebrity expiration date. Soon, who will care to watch a living cadaver cavort around on the screen?

The theory of radiative gases is sound, but the effects on climate have not reflected any of the models’ predictions, so obviously there is a problem with the calculated climate sensitivity. Good luck getting Mr. Nye to admit and discuss that sensibly. His appearance on Tucker Carlson shows he is a raving lunatic.

Is it not ironical. Nye’s family fortune stems from the whaling trade in New Bedford, MA . “Nye Oil” was processed from the head’s of sperm whales. Do we think he is attempting to clear the family name?

Chimp: I’m unfamiliar with instances of human XX males and XY females. Could you please cite the literature on these discoveries.
Maybe a start:
Our ability to identify the presence or absence of DNA sequences in rare individuals whose sex-chromosome composition does not correspond to their sexual phenotype has provided evidence that SRY is the gene responsible for male sex determination. For example, there are human males who have two X and no Y chromosomes. Often, attached to one of their X chromosomes is the region of the Y that contains SRY. There are also females who have one X and one Y chromosome. Their Y is almost always missing the SRY gene.
Essentials of Genetics; Klug, Cummings, Spencer, Palladino; p. 100
I don’t know what Mr. Nye has written about chromosomes and gender. If all he has said is that the presence or absence of a particular chromosome does not predict a phenotype, I suppose he is right. (I believe I have read of a phenotypical male where the SRY gene was found in a somatic chromosome, but I can’t find the reference.) One thing for sure, your body does not appear out of thin air; there is a genetic plan in there somewhere.
IMHO. : > )

There is a biological reason for at least some transgenderism. Notably if the body is male, there is a biological explanation why the brain might not be. In boys during around the first year after birth, there is a biological process called brain masculinization. It requires production of testosterone, conversation of the testisterone to estradiol (even though estradiol is usually thought of as a female hormone), and for the developing brain to respond to the estradiol. If any of these does not happen in the usual way, a boy can grow up with essentially a girl’s brain.
Estradiol is also why men with more testisterone on average have heavier bones.

I thought WUWT was mostly about manmade climate change / global warming, and relevant natural phenomena and a few bits of interesting natural phenoma on Earth, and elsewhere if this can affect Earth or indicate something about Earth’s past or possible future. I am disappointed when an article poster at WUWT promotes DDT, or tests the waters for opposing homosexual marriage or bashing transgendered folks.
I just read the About in WUWT, and I found: “About Watts Up With That? News and commentary on puzzling things in life, nature, science, weather, climate change, technology, and recent news by Anthony Watts”.
