Skeptical Climate Documentary Set to Rock Climate Debate

From CFACT:

President Obama & World Leaders to Be Greeted By New Film Debuting in Paris

Gala Paris red carpet premiere for new “Climate Hustle” skeptical documentary

Cinéma du Panthéon, December 7, 7:30 PM

climate-hustle

(Sorbonne, Paris) CFACT will hold the world premiere of its long-awaited Climate Hustle skeptical documentary film at an invitation-only red carpet event in Paris during the UN’s COP 21 international summit on climate change.

Featuring interviews and comments from more than 30 renowned scientists and climate experts,Climate Hustle lays out compelling evidence that devastates the global warming scare.  Film host Marc Morano, founder and publisher of CFACT’s award-winning Climate Depot news and information service, leads viewers on a fact-finding and often times hilarious journey through the propaganda-laced world of “climate change” claims.

The film is the first climate documentary to profile scientists who have reversed their views from supporting the so-called “consensus” position to a conversion to skepticism. The film also profiles politically left scientists who have now declared themselves skeptics of man-made global warming and United Nations scientists who have now turned against the UN for “distorting” climate science.

David Rothbard, CFACT president and executive producer of the film says, “Climate Hustle is the most important climate documentary since Al Gore’s An Inconvenient Truth.  Gore’s film kicked off a decade of scaremongering junk science.  CFACT’s film debunks the scare and clears the way for a return to sound science and rational debate.”

Nationally syndicated columnist Cal Thomas calls Climate Hustle “tremendous” and says “anyone who still believes in ‘climate change’ after watching this film needs the type of reprogramming given to cult members.”

Noted climatologist Dr. Judith Curry of the Georgia Institute of Technology, who is featured in the film, adds “Climate Hustle is a refreshing and entertaining antidote to the sillier and alarming claims about climate change and its impacts that people regularly hear from politicians and the media.”

“Climate Hustle” will premiere at the Cinéma du Panthéon, beside the Sorbonne, on Monday, December 7. A red-carpet ceremony and champagne reception will take place at 7:30 p.m. prior to the screening. The film is planned for theatrical and home video release in 2016.

Because of very limited space, credentialed media that wish to attend the event should RSVP in advance to Christina Norman of CFACT (cwilson@cfact.org or phone (651) 724-4228).   Climate Hustle’s host, Marc Morano, along with key scientists from the film, will be available for a short time on the red carpet prior to the event at 7 p.m. and are also available for interviews and comments upon request.

Climate Hustle, a production of CFACT, was fully funded by the support of roughly 1,500 citizen supporters.   More information is available at www.ClimateHustle.com/press

FYI, I’m also in the film – Anthony

It needs to be shown on the television or in mainstream cinemas otherwise it will do no more good than the hundreds of convincing videos already on youtube.

How delightfully rude and insulting.

Honestly, I think the trailers look amateurish. Form should always be considered as important as substance. I’a afraid the documentary might be tossed aside because of this. Only the converted will like it and relate to what they see. Sad…

That definitely can be argued. But inexpensive but creative “motion graphics” is actually the hottest thing in video and on the web. This is no doubt the explosive result of computer generated graphics, cheap computers, and the army of CG graphic graduates.

At last this is being done, it could have a huge impact. The trailers are much to busy, simplicity and calmness would reassure the public more than this trendy pop culture approach. It feels like the makers are the type of people who want to grab your attention at all costs and would pull wool over your eyes. That is the feeling I get from these trailers, they do not seem serious so already the audience are invited to feel that what will follow will not be truthful

Any teacher in any American school would be instantly unemployed if they showed even the first trailer to their class.

I know it will be more interesting than the following:
2 Dec: NYT: Chasing a Climate Deal in Paris
World leaders have 12 days to agree on plans to slow global warming. We’re weighing in with insights and analysis.
James Hansen, Climate Scientist Turned Activist, Criticizes Paris Talks
Dr. Hansen, who retired in 2013 after decades in charge of the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies in New York, was making his first appearance at one of the annual U.N. climate conferences. He was introduced as “the Paul Revere of the climate-change movement” before an public interview for a ***video program (LINK)…
“I’ve met with captains of industry,” Dr. Hansen said. “These people have children and grandchildren. They would like to be part of the solution, if the government would give them the right incentives.”
He repeated his longstanding position that the place to start would be a tax on carbon emissions that would raise the price of high-carbon fuels enough to encourage conservation and a switch to alternative energy sources. The money raised by such a tax should be given back to the public, he said.
Dr. Hansen also supports expansion of nuclear power …
“Our parents did not know that they were causing a problem for future generations by burning fossil fuels,” Dr. Hansen said. “But we can only pretend we do not know.”…

Dr. James Hansen…
Dr. Hansen will be attending the UN climate negotiations for the first time since they began at the invitation of Stuart Scott. He has heretofore avoided the negotiations believing that policy makers are not discussing real solutions there but rather merely engaging in face-saving rhetoric.

More of these efforts are being spearheaded in the US. They are better organized and funded.
You’ll start to see increasing attempts at class actions supported by groups like these
http://ourchildrenstrust.org/
And, it’s true that they are growing fans of MSR (molten salt reactors). You can see it based on how the seed money is flowing in that direction and the chatter in some DC NGOs. Gates, Zucker, Soros … the Chinese. They are schmart. Utilities are also teaming up regionally with NGOs to evaluate low carbon alternatives for energy and are copresenters at Paris. It’s really a rather sophisticated assault.
On a personal note, it just floors me that we could have been so much smarter as a people if we said “oh, yeah MSRs, not a bad idea … let’s build a few pilots. Instead, we meandered along this morphing CAGW lie and lots of different agendas got into bed together.
A comical satire if it wasn’t so wasteful and deceptive.

I hope the documentary itself is a lot better than the trailers. Neither would have enticed me to watch it. The second one is truly awful.
Btw you never mentioned Durkin’s ‘Global warming swindle’ shown on Channel 4 in the UK & Ireland about a year or two after Gore’s thing. That documentary was the start of my journey down the rabbit hole of global warming. It was a very good documentary.

There’ll be no Oscars or Nobel Prizes, sorry. Actors ridden to the left atoning for guilt over how much cash they make so easily and Europe’s Marxbrothers in the Nobel committee will give it no consideration. Hollywood will be making disaster sequels and they will give the Nobel Prize to Hillary for losing in her bid for president as a reaction.

Given the way our Green/Left friends operate, there might be no screening at all. Organised protests with lots of shouting have already stopped few things before they even started, at least in Australia.

I note that Judith Curry states that it is an antidote to the “sillier and alarming claims about climate change and its impacts that people regularly hear from politicians and the media.”
It is significant that she does not say it is an antidote to what the scientists say.

Baby steps, seaice, baby steps. No one film can do everything. Besides what “the scientists” say is all over the map now. Mother Nature just doesn’t seem to be cooperating with them somehow. She’s quite the d nayer, don’t you know. Very inconvenient.

Excellent film. Everyone should watch it. It should be shown in school as part of the environmental studies so that students can get a more rounded picture, and see both sides of the coin.
I was aware of it, but did not get the opportunity to watch it when it was screened.
I was pleased to see it spending some time on the hardship that Africans (and other people living in developing countries) are forced to endure because of western insistence that they should not be allowed to enjoy the benefits of electricity and industrialisation. Many millions of people each year are being condemned to a premature death and a life of unimaginable hardship because of this policy. This is my biggest concern about this overly politicised science.
An edited down version should be made concentrating on the poor in developing countries and how their lifes would improve if they were to have fossil fuel electricity, and this should be sent to all politicians asking them what they have against these people and to explain and justify why they wish to condemn these people to a needlessly earlier death and a life of unimaginable hardship and poverty. I do not know how Politicians and influential people in NGOs and MSM can sleep easy at night knowing the consequences of their actions.
