Obama's Lonely Climate Summit – world leaders are staying home

Eric Worrall writes: The imminent climate summit in New York is rapidly turning into an utter embarrassment for President Obama and UN Secretary General Bank Ki-Moon, in addition to becoming a bit of a punishment round for national deputy leaders.

Aussie PM Tony Abbott today defended his decision not to hop on an earlier flight to America, so he could attend the UN climate conference in New York, because he has more important matters to attend to, such as running the country.

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/national/tony-abbott-defends-skipping-un-climate-change-summit-in-new-york/story-fni0xqrb-1227060005413

Chinese President Xi Jinping and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi  have also indicated they likely won’t attend the summit.

http://thediplomat.com/2014/09/top-leaders-from-china-india-to-skip-un-climate-change-summit/

Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper has indicated he will not be attending. https://ca.news.yahoo.com/blogs/canada-politics/stephen-harper-to-skip-un-climate-summit-183946998.html

Even Angela Merkel, President of über green Germany, will not be attending the UN climate summit. http://notrickszone.com/2014/05/26/merkel-snubs-new-york-ban-ki-moon-climate-conference-burying-the-global-climate-agreement/

Of course, things would probably have been totally different, if the summit organisers had guaranteed that attendees would definitely not have to sit through any more boring climate presentations by former Vice President Al Gore.

I’ve heard it’s going to be an Internet GoToMeeting affair. Save all that jet fuel being burned and such. These people are getting more responsible … so I’ve been told.

Obama reserves all his energy for his true enemies, the Tea Party.
=========================================================
As a local radio host here in the Boston area is fond of saying, Obama is “Chamberlain abroad, and Caesar at home”.
He is, was and always will be, completely manufactured by the media. That is also why they will never criticize him.

Winter has come here early in New York, so it is not a very good place to come and visit this time of year. Must be global warming causing the cold weather!

That’s a riot! Every time something happens it is due to ‘global warming.’ Cold winter? Global warming! More hurricanes? Global warming! Fewer hurricanes? Global warming! Phony “evidence”? Global warming.

Why would world leaders want to share the stage with Obama when his own fellow Democrats don’t want to be seen with him in an election year?

Chances are BO with attend and take the moment to push the AGW agenda foreword. He stepped in it with his last State of the Union address and this opportunity will be to big to pass up. As long as the cameras and media focuses on him being there it doesn’t matter who isn’t there. The media who are in support of this AGW don’t worry about truth or elections they only care about influence anymore and BO being there will drive foreword the agenda.

With Obama, he just forgets what he previously said and did when it suits him. He was in favor is rescinding the Congressional authority passed after 9/11 to fight al Qaeda. Now he says that same authority allows him to start a war against ISIS and he don’t need no stinkin’ Congressional authorization.

Citizens are beginning to comprehend climate change. It means a collapse of their standard of living, and massive government control of everything. If it is needed. If the sacrifice is needed, it will redefine life on earth. Billions will stay in poverty and many middle class people will fall into the lower class.
Burning carbon means exploiting a economical life supporting fuel, to make energy. Do without and starve. All the green energies cost too much and always will as their technical processes are inherently very poor (excluding fission.)
As people comprehend these facts of life, their “leaders” go into hiding.

As their cries become more shrill and desperate, their true intent is becoming obvious, “CAPITALISM IS NOT WORKING” their banner reads. They want to dismantle capitalism, that is what they really want, well I would say it is working pretty well, and the USSR shows us what did not work. I am no right wing nut, but using environmentalism as a reason to tear down capitalism is wrong.

No wonder, the facts are very simple:
CO2 is a “trace gas” in air, insignificant by definition. It absorbs 1/7th as much IR, heat energy, from sunlight as water vapor which has 188 times as many molecules capturing 1200 times as much heat making 99.9% of all “global warming.” CO2 does only 0.1% of it. For this we should destroy our economy?
The Medieval Warming from 800 AD to 1300 AD that Micheal Mann erased to make his “hockey stick” was several degrees warmer than anything “global warmers” fear. It was the longest recorded time, 500 years, of peace with great abundance for all.
The Vostock Ice Core data analysis show CO2 increases follow temperature increases by 800 years 19 times in 450,000 years. That makes temperature change cause and CO2 change effect; not the other way around. This alone refutes the anthropogenic global warming concept.
Carbon combustion generates 80% of our energy. Control and taxing of carbon would give the elected ruling class more power and money than anything since the Magna Carta of 1215 AD.
Most scientists and science educators work for tax supported institutions eager to help government raise more money for them. And, they love being seen as “saving the planet.”
Google “Two Minute Conservative,” and you will be applauded when you speak truth at your next dinner party, barbecue or church picnic.

Two Words: Research Grants
Climatology as a science is a joke. If anything, we should stop giving federal grants to schools that teach climatology. We’ve been fooled too many times by these idiots… ozone holes, RJ12/45, solar flares, etc. etc. I’m done.

Do the math, if you can. Hard for the climate shrews to do maybe, but the percentage of the atmosphere that is co2 is less than .0004%. For you dumbass democrats, that is WAY less than 1%.

Your point is correct, but the percentage is actually 0.04%. Let us be utterly accurate.

@rho1953…
I think you mean 0.04% CO2, which is 0.0004 of the atmosphere.
Man made CO2 = 3% and fossil fuel burning is about half of that.
Therefore Man-made CO2 is about 0.000006 of the atmosphere.
Who, in their right mind, would believe that this small amount of CO2 from burning fossil fuels can cause ice ages; global warming; catastophic sea level rise, etc., etc., etc., ……….

What’s scary is that there’s an entire generation of young people who were raised believing in the truth of this sham and that their duty as a citizen of Earth is to live more and more like a caveman. It’s like the people of my generation learning that the USSR was never real.

This is the real problem. Folks age 35 and above are old enough to remember the Scientism-media complex trying to frighten them with sciency-sounding hokum again and again (acid rain, ozone hole, freon, etc.), but younger people have been indoctrinated from pre-pre-preschool all through college that global climate warming weather chaos disruption change is The Most Importantest Thing Ever, except for maybe heterophobe marriage, and the future has a way of belonging to whomever shows up.

This is a good thing.
As nature drives home the lesson, never trust committee speak.
Todays young adults 18 and older are about to get a valuable lesson, having been shamelessly lied to by their own governments for over two decades, they now get to see through those lies.
Trust me I am from the Government.
Here to help you, into poverty and servitude.
Should make for smarter citizens in the future, but will be hell on the current establishment figureheads as the get grumpy.
Especially as we allowed these same bureaucrats to mortgage the futures of all these young people, ensuring them a handicap as they try to find their own ways.
Sorry kiddies, here is the bill, for stuff you will never see, like welfare, healthcare and pensions.
CAGW is just icing on this **** sandwich.

When will President Obama step into reality to understand that when everyday people wake up.. CLIMATE change is the last thing on their mind, They are worried about keeping a roof over their head and putting food on the table.
Its just mind boggling how out of touch many politicians are.
