This is off topic but since the topic is a Friday Funny maybe it’s ok to present it. It’s not funny but I found it quite exciting. To the astute readers of this blog it might be old news but I just found out about it.
Anyway, it appears NASA announced just yesterday that Voyager officially left the Solar System and has entered Interstellar Space. An explosion on the sun in March 2012 was recorded by Voyager in April 2013. Here’s the link:

Maybe it is appropriate. Humanity has sent a tiny token of its existence back to the Universe from whence we came. After all these billions of years. What a magnificent accomplishment. It does indeed make our starstruck, celebrity wannabe, taxpayer funded, climate warrior scientists look like the Friday Funnies they really all.

I am SO looking forward to AR5. If the IPCC fails to mention the possibility of cooling then they will have painted themselves into a corner from which there is no escape and when cooling does arrive as seems ever more likely then even the MSM will see that they look like the fools we all know they are.

J Martin:
No escape? Nah. They’ll adjust a graph or two and claim the computer model predicted exactly what would happen, With some error bars and uncertainty, of course.

The Climate Science Bible is to name calling as voodoo is to sticking pins in wax images of of skeptics.
Ooooo . . . this really could start to get hilarious on a Friday . . .

Don’t forget the IPCC has a great mountain of “could”, “may”,
“might” and “indicates” that they plan to hide behind when the going gets tough.
They can see THEIR future well enough.

In the UK we pronounce ass AR5E.

, UK – LOL – I usually substitute Arse for A-$-$ as the US censors key on the second, and miss the first. So you did not have to spell it AR5E. But it was amusing to read.

Are we still having Friday fun?
The IPCC centric exaggerators of AGW from fossil fuels call their skeptical critics Deniers.
Their skeptical critics could in fun call them the Denier Accusation Making Noobs . . . aka the DAMNed

AR5? A bit like IPHONE5.
Same as all the rest, but with a few cosmetic changes.
And still a waste of money!

Scottish Sceptic- Yep, read it as ARS (- the E) hehehe….

September 13, 2013 3:31 pm

Maybe it could be recycled into something useful, say party hats for the next climate con(ference)?

That was during the Golden Age of NASA; which has made way for cashing in on the CO2AGW scare (1.2 bn USD a year for NASA thanks to James Hansen and his successor G. Schmidt); and making Muslims feel good about scientific discoveries made by heathens they tolerated until Islamic clerics cracked down on them in the 12th century.
I wonder what nation will carry science into the future after the destruction of the US empire. Russia, China?

another funny:
13 Sept: WSJ: Google Jet Fleet Loses a Pentagon Fuel Perk
Questions Raised About Founders Use for Non-Government Flights
The agreement between the Google founders and the government, which started in 2007, ended Aug. 31 after officials at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration—which sponsored the arrangement—opted not to renew it, according to a Pentagon spokeswoman…
In explaining the unusual arrangement, NASA officials have pointed to a related agreement by the Google executives to perform scientific flights and other NASA-related transport. That mostly has involved flights by an Alpha jet, a small trainer bought by the Google executives and used by NASA to measure atmospheric greenhouse gases and ozone.
“NASA is always looking for innovative, public-private partnerships to help advance our mission and provide benefit to the American taxpayer,” a spokeswoman for NASA Ames said…

Maybe “they” would stop using the D-word if “we” stopped using the A-word. Let’s pretend just for a minute that we’re all grown-ups here shall we?
