Dr. Roger Pielke Sr. is retiring his blog. While he plans to focus more on research papers and a new book he is working on, I have no doubt he will continue to provide useful and insightful information to the online climate climate community at large.

Thanks for the effort and good luck with the book.

I agree wholeheartedly…
Thank you, Dr. Pielke, for all your efforts.
I’m sorry to say, people at surreal climate and non-skeptical science, are likely cheering right now.
Dr. Sr. Sad to see you go!
But many thanks for what you have done.
To Dr Roger Pielke Sr.
Thank you, Sir.
Youre’s was one of the dozen or so blogs I ran through each morning to see what was happening in the world of climate science and youre’s was one in which I trusted to tell it as it was.
Dr Pielke Sr – Will miss your fine blog. I feel like one of the “grown-ups” has left the room. Please weigh in here when you have the time and inclination.
Best of luck to you.
Yes, since comments are closed there, I’ll abuse WUWT to say that I’ve only recently, say six months, visited Roger Pielke Sr,’s blog, and found him an excellent scientist and thinker. I’ve read a number of his scientific papers too, which have taught me much about land use change and general thinking on human effects on climate. I’m sorry he’s ending the blog, but also appreciate his desire to prioritise. Thanks, and success in your future undertakings!
R.Pielke’s blog along with Climate Audit have been my regular stops back in 2005.
Excellent, balanced, accurate and scientfic is how I’d qualify R.Pielke’s.
I wish R.Pielke luck and success, he deserves it and I have learned much by reading his posts and papers.
That’s a shame, it was a very good resource showing there’s a lot more to our effects on climate, than blowing a bit of CO2 into the air!
An honest honorable man and scientist; a rarity in today’s world.
He turned the comments off because of people like Steve Bloom and BCL; he tired of arguing with idiots.
Very sad news but let’s not make the good Doctor feel guilty for deciding to spend his considerable talent in other directions. Let’s be grateful for all that he’s shared and taught, and hopeful that we will be hearing from him in new and perhaps even better ways.
Dear Mr Pielke,
Thank you very much for everything!!!!!!!!!
🙂
We love you
