Some questions for readers

I have noticed some things happening recently that lead me to ask some questions.

1a. If you are subscribed to follow WUWT via email, where you get emails advising you of new posts, are you still getting those emails? For example, a notice of this post?

1b. If you aren’t receiving those emails, are they in your SPAM filter?

2. If you are subscribed to WUWT via RSS feed, are you still able to read it in the reader of your choice?

3. Are you getting any sorts of SPAM, phishing, or “unsafe” website notices for any links that might be embedded in those emails or feeds?

Please leave answers yes/no in comments.

The reason I ask is that WordPress recently flagged WUWT as a high traffic site, and added extra advertising, for which I get a few cents per click. But, at the same time I’m wondering if that has come with a penalty in the form of a raised SPAM score due to that extra advertising.

As always, thanks for visiting and thanks for your support. – Anthony

Still getting email notices, including for this posting. Am not getting any spam. Everything’s fine.

I’m reading it with web based Google Reader on Windows and with the Android app on my phone and haven’t noticed any issues. I’m not seeing any advertising either.

Not aware of spam–most WUWT (like this notice) goes to the spam box. Don’t know what RSS is. –AGF

Yes I get the emails. No other problems, don’t use RSS. Also please don’t go to threaded comments as others have suggested. It’s nice if you only read the thread once after everyone has had their say, but if you come back in the middle it’s a muddle. Enjoy your click money.

Who uses all that notification stuff….I just leave WUWT on all day and incessantly hit F5 all day long!! 😉
No issues on this end.

I subscribe to WUWT via Google Reader. I have not noticed any differences lately. I still see everything in the reader – but always click over so I can read the comments. 🙂
