Monday Mirthiness – another hilarious video

Elmer, of Minnesotans for Global Warming famous “Hide the Decline” fame, has a keen eye for comic opportunity, much like our esteemed cartoonist, Josh. He’s produced a new video today. Normally I don’t allow videos of this type, what with the “d-word” and all, but when its about you, I think I can grant myself a pass. Have a look.

LoL… “Their blogs are bigger than ours…. Their videos are funnier than ours. ”
I had some qualms about the Hitler aspect of it…. But then thought. Pffft, doesn’t matter, the three blokes named call us “den***s”, so right back at ’em with broad smiles an big laughs….Plus if they complain, I would like them to explain the irony as well…..;-)

He seemed a bit to calm to be an alarmist didn’t he ?

I wish it was to the full length of that scene. such a classic meme

Anthony,
I strongly admire and appreciate the tremendous amount of brilliant work you do. But sometimes, such as when I saw this post, I wonder about whether or not you’re fully cognizant of just how high the stakes are in this debate. If you and all the other climate skeptics (or “realists” as some prefer to call themselves) are successful in persuading the public that AGW is in fact not a major problem for humanity: Millions of kids will devote their time and energy to truly beneficial humanitarian projects, rather than waste them on useless efforts to stop global warming; national governments and the UN will (be forced to) cease their pursuit of disastrous energy policies, allowing poor countries to develop as quickly as they can, and no slower; radical environmentalists will be exposed for being the ignorant lunes that they are, resulting in increased support for GMOs, fracking, and other modern technologies that are making the world a substantially better place.
We’re talking about the lives and well-being of millions upon millions of people. What a shame it would be if you fail because people see this post and write you off as an obnoxious prick who stoops to the level of Nazi-comparisons. Now is a time for seriousness, professionalism, and integrity. Hopefully, the time for celebration is coming soon.
Just saying,
Ian

[SNIP: Sorry, Andrew, that is going just a bit too far. I like the analogy, but that one is just going to be more trouble than it is worth. Sorry. -REP]

And so timely! I laughed and laughed.

Thanks for posting Anthony. Still trying to figure out what the d-Word is. Disaster?

I watched this in the other thread. Don’t remember the last time I laughed that loudly. The last part was especially hilarious.

Anthony, I fear you will be heavily criticized for putting this up. If you are wanting to get your paper to viewed seriously by the mainstream, this works against you.
===================================================================
Let them criticize. Its still funny as hell. Being able to mock the establishment with smart and sharp humour like this can be a devastating weapon in the pursuit of truth. The mainstream represents the establishment. Remind me why anyone would bother trying to win them over?

To those who think this video is in bad taste. This clip has been rendered about a thousand times for different memes. It is the clip that everyone uses to make their point in a satirical way. I enjoy the creativity of these autours! My God, there’s even a version for Jethro Tull!

I love well done Hitler spoofs.

July 30, 2012 9:32 pm

The part that made me LOL the longest was the pause starting at :37.
The their videos are funnier than ours was great too!

July 30, 2012 9:35 pm

Our friends to my north did it again (I live in Iowa), and am still having problems coordinating my two fingers to type. The only good part is that my screen cleaner is right next to my laptop to assist in the removal the serous fluids that impacted the surface.
I read your paper and it looks spot on for content. Nicely Done.

ROFLMAO!!! Anthony, thank you so much for bringing this one to our attention. I’ve seen other Hitler spoofs from this same movie clip, but for anyone following the climate fiasco’s this one is one of the best. It’s a riot!!
Many many kudos on your new paper, and may it be bullet proof to hard scrutiny!

To heck with political correctness. Humor, especially well done humor such as we’ve consistently seen from M4GW, is priceless. David Davidovics at July 30, 2012 at 9:04 pm says it well:

Let them criticize. Its still funny as hell. Being able to mock the establishment with smart and sharp humour like this can be a devastating weapon in the pursuit of truth.

Who wants to live in a world where it’s acceptable for people to nastily smear others, call them names, damn them with innuendo, but it’s not acceptable to laugh and find humor occasionally in a well done spoof or joke?

Sorry for messing up your screen.

If any warmists criticize Anthony for posting this, they will be hypocrites for not condemning the recent ShellFail video by Greenpeace. This is clearly satire. What Greenpeace did was fraud. Unfortunately, watching Greenpeace’s video alone does not reveal all the machinations behind it and I can’t point you to one article that adequately describes them, so I might have to write one myself.
For me, its of comparable significance to Gleickgate for revealing the mendacious character of the green movement.
