UPDATE: Anyone who can get the screencap showing the counter at 100,000,000 on the right sidebar will get a free 100 million coffee cup with a special cartoon from Josh – Anthony

Not sure where else to post this so that you will see it, but as I write, your blogstats are sitting at 99,965,942 views … so your blog is rapidly approaching a very significant milestone – which I anticipate will probably be reached within the next day or so (if not sooner!)
May I suggest that you start a Countup thread, so that lurkers and fans may express their thoughts as this milestone approaches … This will build excitement and traffic – and confound the “powers that wannabe”, I’m sure 😉
On one hand it thought to myself “it’s just a number, no big deal” on the other hand I thought “this only comes once, and a number of people have emailed me about it, so there must be some excitement going on”.
So, who am I to argue with the lady? Sound off below.
Does the counter roll back to zero again like a car ? 😉

Congratulations Anthony – looking forward to the next100,000,000
31,345 to go …
If I get the magic number, does the ceiling open and shower me with confetti while dancing girls spring through the door? Do I get a ticket to tour a chocolate factory?
[Reply: You get it all! Just use your imagination!☺ ~dbs, mod.]
10am UTC, and 99,978,655 votes of confidence in your site. Well done!
Hi Anthony,
I think I said something like this when you passed 50m mark, which does not seem so long ago. You and your team, and this blog, are international treasures. In years to come this archive will be immensely helpful in unravelling the strange goings on of climate science over the past decade or so.
The number was 99,978,655 when I started this comment.
With huge congratulations and thanks from down under.
Robin (New Zealand)
When the definitive book finally gets written… you are going to have a very big chapter!
Congratulations and much thanks for all your hard work.
Almost 5 times the population of Oz. Keep it comin’.
Cheers.
Longtime lurker (well since 2009…) just wanted to thank Anthony and your mod team for such a fantastic effort. I can honestly say I am addicted to this site, and I doubt I have missed visiting it for more than a couple of days since CG1.
All the best from a rainy and cold NZ summer.
Anthony,
Many congratulations to you and your team of moderators and helpers. This site is both fair and balanced. You deserve all the kudos you’re now receiving.
Regards,
980,301 and counting. Well done to the WUWT team from me in New Zealand. Dont get complacent, your planet needs you.
I was thinking of opening up a soup kitchen and offering free heat blankets to the “teams “consensus scientists when the cooling hits.
I wouldnt want to see poor Phil or Mann going into a decline for the lack of a bit of warming…
How do I get my name in blue in the comments section?

How do I get my name in blue in the comments section?
You have to be the post author commenting as part of the blog team (i.e. this doesn’t work for guest authors where Anthony actually publishes on their behalf)
[Name in blue, not entire comment in blue – see reply by Joshualdo 2012/01/07 at 3:52 am ~jove, Mod]
Congraqtulations 99,980,301 views. Pages load awful slowly here in Yinchuan, China.
Now only 19,700 to go, you have to profile the official 100,000,000th visitor. All the best, to all of the team, be proud, so much knowledge and experience shared with those of us who have so little on a range of subjects. Anthony, for people of the year!.
All – please note – it will probably not be possible for us to identify who is the actual 100,000,000th visitor or where they come from – the person might not comment. In fact we’ll only be able to pinpoint the approx. time the landmark is reached by a visitor telling us when they note it has passed the landmark. A flurry of visitors at 99,999,990 and it could be very difficult to be sure as I’m not sure if the count number updates after every single view or it jumps as it updates periodically. It’ll be interesting to see if several people make claim of being first to see the number has passed the post. Currently at 99,982,148 views.
As of 4:36 am CST, we’re at 99,980,301 views.
Less than 20,000 to go…
Just for the heck of it, thought I’d check the RealClimate site: 15,279,633 (according to their SiteMeter). Way ahead there.
SkS and Open Mind don’t post their “hit count”. Maybe they’re not proud of their numbers.

Own up, you’re a ‘climate scientist’ who has crept in here to fudge the figures! 8- )

Thanks for all your work mate.
Without WUWT I would be a lot more ignorant than I am…

Fantastic. This and the Bish my favourite sceptic sites. Keep up the good work, it is hugely appreciated.
This is a real milestone. Let’s hope that 2012 will begin to see some serious movement away from the faux-science and back onto solid ground. It will be down to people like yourself if (when) that happens.

“The fourth IPCC report says on page 3,875 that when the amount of denial surpasses 100 million, the Greenland ice will instantly melt, sea level will rise 7 meters, the Gulf Stream will stop, and temperatures on the Northern Hemisphere will drop by 40 degrees Celsius. Unless the rich countries will pay ten trillion dollars per year to the IPCC and to the third world for the next 180 years.”
Luboš! lol. That’s golden!
Well 18713 and counting.
Where’s are the fireworks going to be? YouTube?
As I write this the count is at;
Blog Stats
99,981,287 views
I suggest a prize (maybe a Josh signed cartoon?) to whomever gets a valid screen shot showing the magic 100,000,000 views.
Anything to help!
I have to apologise for the 100,000,000 views count being slightly skewed , a couple of hundred thousand of those would be me! :vP
Anthony you have once again proved the power of one. Yes you, just one person with a bee in his bonnet (a meteorologists’ concern about the siting of official temperature recording stations) has changed the world of climate science.
What a remarkable achievement. What an inspiration you are to all genuine scientists.
