Our rebuttal of Al Gore’s 24 hours of Climate Reality aka the Gore-a-thon is On-The-Air. Josh is leading the charge chortles. We’ll have a new Josh cartoon, along with commentary, graphs and links every hour starting at 5PM PST to match the starting time of the CRP. They appear below this post.
You can watch the live video presentation here, I urge everyone to do so (because after hour 4 it is starting to look like a massive dud, Al needs the help) and to make notes about it during the appropriate hour. Alternate video link here at Ustream.

UPDATE: The Climate Reality project has released two videos hyping the event. It appears they’ll be smearing some of what is in the videos.

Concerning the Arctic Ice Cover: In looking at
Arctic Sea Ice Concentration – Same Date Compared With 2007
I saw for 9/9/2011 what looks like more snow and ice on the Alaskan Brooks Range and what looks like sizable snow/ice fields in Eastern Siberia that don’t exist in the 9/9/2007 images. May I suggest we run a game on Wikipedia whereby you post a list of words: fruitfly, banana, flannel, and we are scored on the number of words that remain in the articles at a set time: 1 for ordinary articles and 5 for climate related one.

Methinks we should modernise this thought:

I just watched those videos. I suppose one could be amused, if in the mood. They did nothing to convince me and did raise the old BP!
Hmmmmm … that figure at the header up top … looks more like Jay Leno than Al Gore. Of course, the former deserves large fees for his performances, while the latter deserves to be shunned … and tarred and feathered.
This whole gambit by Gore is a political ploy–just like another run at some elected office. There’s nary a bit of “science” in all the presentations. Epic Fail for Al Gore.
(Sorry, Al–you must have substance to win in science, not bent ideology.)

Would any of the contributors to this GoreFest care to enlighten me as to the outcome of the allegations/charges of sexual misconduct that were around a while back. Were they false? How was it settled?

Very interesting poll at that site. Between the negative poll, and not a single positive comment WRT use of Facebook & Tweet accounts, Gore seems to continue on his road to oblivion.
