In May 2011, the US military conducted a raid and killed Osama bin Laden in a compound less than 1 km from Burn Hall Army Academy in Abbottabad. Burn Hall is a junior academy that feeds the Pakistan Military Academy. Bin Laden’s extended refuge near the academy is cited as evidence of the Pakistani government’s collusion with al Qaeda.
That places the compound back near the city center where we originally placed it from reports by The Atlantic. The compound originally identified din’t quite match the news reports.(see image below).
The imagery of the compound above described as “very high walled” matches the image of the white building and the tall white walls around it. I also just saw some helmet cam video of the scene in flames, and the white walls were visible.
The Google added red pointer location for OBL’s compound Abottabad in their database in the images above was originally near the city center, See below for the original placment Google had. But the pointer lat/lon has been updated within the last hour to the new location near PMA Kakul shown above. I think the locations above are correct, as they match news accounts much better.
I have seen NO I repeat NO evidence that anybody is dead ! The only thing we have is the word of a politician and not a politician that is known for his truth. There has been a photo shopped photo of a dead man ( but not Bin Laden) Mr President were is the evidence ? Perhaps burning the compound and dumping a body at sea is your evidence ?

Patek must have done something completely boneheaded if he was arrested in Abbottabad and OBL didn’t flee. Either that or Pakistani intelligence had convinced OBL that they would protect him.

I am sorry if this is repeating another posters concerns but the time line of events is a little worrying.
DNA tests take 5 to 7 days with a good source of physical material taken by a qualified person in clean conditions yet we have been informed that DNA tests confirm that the body supposedly taken yesterday proves with 99.9% certainty that it is the body of Bin Laden. The Seals would have had to go in, kill the mark, take the corpse back to Bagram hospital, get samples and perform a full autopsy and take pictures after cleaning up the corpse and then put it on a C130 for transit to a suitable area at sea in the space of a few hours.
Now it could be that the claim of DNA matches are just MSM inventions and it could be that facial recognition technologies may have been used but this raises an awkward question of the type of injury causing death as the MSM is reporting a wound(s) to the head, if this was the case then a fatal wound to the head would have caused facial distortion therefore making such ID methods unreliable, any pathologist or murder squad detective will confirm this.
A full autopsy takes many hours simply because the corpse has to be allowed to settle, it has to be cleaned and dissected and samples taken and logged with pictures taken and derivative notes collated. From the kill shot to the journey back to Bagram to the autopsy to the DNA sampling to the breaking of the news, it all must have happened within a few hours but from the very report it was made clear that a DNA analysis was undertaken and results confirmed.
We know the MSM gets excited and in the vacuum of real information tends to make it up but I am seeing a lot of so called news being touted as fact. Where are the pictures of the kind that were released after the death of Saddams boys?

Well, it easy to take blood and hair samples for DNA for later, but does one trust that idea?
I do think that burial as sea is rather fishy (pun intended). No question the argument is that returning Bin Laden to family etc does make for a possible shrine and terrorist magnet, but then again the return of body could have been used as a negotiating chip and dragged out for years to our advantage.
Really, burial at sea throws out any objective ability to verify this story. If Bin Laden where to surface up in a month, the Administration would simply state this was a ruse to flush him out.
I am most thrilled to assume this is Bin laden, but my skeptic meter is quite high on them tossing overboard the one major piece of evidence that would close this case once and for all.
A traditional and respectful burial at sea for this guy? Golly, not good, not good at all and this is one sour note in what should be a really great story. I am happy, but accident having the body fall off the ship on the way home, not good…

About the ‘burial at sea’, I suspect the body was badly mutilated, and not fit for display/burial so they just thrown it overboard. It’s a shame, because a lot of conspiracy nuts will never let this go now. Every unstable paranoid person who should be taking meds will be overthinking this for years to come.
I thought I’d sit back and see how this story unfolded before making up my mind. But when I saw the latest report that “bin Laden’s body” has been buried at sea, my skeptic’s antenna started vibrating like the Tacoma Narrows bridge. The Administration is about as credible as this guy.

I used to believe everything that the US/UK governments announced. I really hope this story is true, but now after AGW/IPCC I am very suspicious of announcements like this. I ask myself; is it true, or does Mr Obama want us to take our eyes off a pea? (not saying I know what he wants attention diverted from…)
