"Gore Effect" strikes again: new coldest ever December record low temperature in Cancun

God indeed has a sense of humor. From Weather Underground:

Here’s the actual METAR data, showing 10°C (50.0°F):

According to the Mexican National Meteorological Service, the record low temp for December is 12°C (53.6F) see table here: Cancun_climate (PDF)

According to this page lowest for December is 52°F (11°C)

http://www.cancun-discounts.com/cancun-weather.htm

Either way, 50°F is a new record for December low temperature, and it couldn’t happen at a more inconvenient time for the Cancun COP16 climate conference.

Haven’t seen any mention or comment anywhere on the possibility that the current cold weather may in some way be related to the Iceland volcanic eruption that closed european skies.
Any thoughts ??

“Global Warming”Oh No… temperatures are dropping all over.. Well let’s call it “Global Cooling” Yeah but what are we going to do if it starts warming again? Well let’s call it “Climate Change” that will cover all bases… The moronic population in the whole world will go for it. Let’s continue blaming the CO2 because Wall Street demands more money for trading CO2 credits. By the way where is our next vacation / convention to discuss this will be?
===========================
A lot of money and political power has been invested in so call “global warming”or “climate change” that if the general population sees this as a lie and a hoax, many well-known institutions of government and media will likely collapse from the scandal. The establishment is desperate fighting for its life. And we should expect them to take any and all desperation measures to prolong and preserve their status.

The whole world needs to start preparing for years of very cold weather. This is a normal weather cycle. Let us stop the stupidity of Global Warming and start preparing for this real emergency. Cold weather is going to affect food production and that is going to create famine in some parts of the world. We need to start planning for this and our government officials are not helping at all.

Where do you find the time to comment here? Shouldn’t you be recounting votes in Florida?

CFACT took a bunch of Cancun delegates over to a poor Mayan village to see “the face of energy poverty,” what the Green bureaucracy was promising the poorest people in the world:
http://www.cfact.org/a/1856/Seeing-the-face-of-energy-poverty-upclose-in-Cancun
Meanwhile, NPR’s “Marketplace” ran a story this evening on another Mayan village which has been having trouble with its maize crop the last decade or so, because of drought. Obviously that was because of global “climate change.” Sample:

What the scientists do know, with confidence, is that global temperatures are already rising. Heat wilts plants, and it warms the atmosphere, which then sucks more water out of the soil. And — we’ll spare you the details — the experts think drought-prone areas like this will likely get more drought-prone. . .

For NPR, there are no doubts, not even a question.

“Records for Cancun only appear to go back to 1974 then get spotty. For instance if you change the date to Dec. 8th, 1973 there is no data. There’s some data for November 1973 but I didn’t find any before that.”
That’s because there was no Cancun then. Google it up.

Does anyone have available a fairly exhaustive list of major AGW events and/or Al Gore appearances related to AGW that might serve as a basis?”
Is this what you were looking for to get you started:
http://www.climatedepot.com/a/1869/Climate-Depot-Factsheet-on-the-Gore-Effect-Phenomenon
There are reasons why it is so cold. Namely the sun is very inactive and has been for a while. As well, there is a very strong La Nina. At least according to the following numbers, the strongest since 1975 where it also had a rating of 1: http://www.esrl.noaa.gov/psd/people/klaus.wolter/MEI/rank.html
The other question that could be asked is if Someone arranged it so that the low sunspot numbers and La Nina and the Cancun conference happened at the same time.

I think the fact that he was made the poster-child for the agw movement is what gives insults against him so much fuel. He won an Oscar and a Nobel prize for his trashy movie and trashy science. He deserves every ounce of insult that is hurled at him. He attempted to become a billionaire at everyone’s expense as well. You know what history will say about Al Gore: He will be the picture of the village idiot in future dictionaries. Everyone will think Al Gore when someone mentions a village idiot.
Its too bad that some Tn town lost their idiot…we would all be better off if he had stayed in one town his entire life.
Now a question for you: “Why did Al Gore own tobacco farms?”
