Off topic: Does Roger Pelke Sr. have a blog? I’ve been unable to find it through Google.

August 14, 2010 1:23 pm

OT, iKnow, but iJust noticed the Best Science Blog sticker atop the page. Since Science is no longer a category in the Weblog Awards, that means in addition to the 2008 winner, we are also the Ultimate Science Blog winner.

August 14, 2010 1:23 pm

I love it. But the English prof in me says “reciepies”?!

OT, Joe Bastardi issues a public dissociation from Penn State Meteorology (his alma mater). Inevitable, I suppose. He does not sound like a happy bunny.
It’s on his European Weather Blog

A. It of a surprise you did not know this one ( I mean that is Kim, of the climate blogosphere fame Kim?) I regularly read both Pielke blogs, they are very good.

It should say.
“A bit of a surprise” not “A. It”
Darn iPad predictive texting.

I think the best suggestion for and additional AGW believer’s app is ‘iHide’, suggested by SJones over at Bishop Hill.
FWIW, the video of Hansen is a sad look at a pathetic man.
He is not even a fraud anymore. Just a blithering fool.

Great but you know a good actual app I can think of would contain abstracts of all the goofy papers written on way out cagw effects- forecasts of the snow only to be remembered by the elderly and from stories and old Xmas cards by 2005(?), sheep getting skinnier in UK because of cagwn, Arctic ice gone by 2013, etc, and add on the horror stories of mass starvaton and extinctions by 2000 because of the cold projections by Schneider, Ehrlich in the 70s – the same guys who see us frying up by mid 2000s. Give a bibliography and links. C all it the domesday app. These guys should get some real publicity.

The first comment (from Amino etc.) has a link to a YouTube video. Using Google Chrome if I try to play this, nothing happens. If I open an IE window the video plays. I don’t think this was always true with my Chrome but it may have been. Can someone tell me how to fix this inconvenient glitch?

August 14, 2010 5:58 pm

Love it – message to the AGW crowd – the truth hurts!

Douglas Adams had it right I think when he had DON’T PANIC in large friendly letters on the cover of his book The Hitchhickers Guide to the Galaxy.
The UN should have had Joshs cartoons on the front of there work of fiction.

Josh,
Great stuff.
In humor you are creating the perfect antidote for the unintentionally hilarious stuff from the consensus (whoever they really are) who think of themselves as righteous.

Yes please. But aside from an app (because contrary to what many people believe, not everyone has app-laden phones) a resource page of this stuff.
And if there is already one out there, could someone point me to it?

August 16, 2010 12:23 pm

Any chance your iPhone app (not iPanic, but the realy one) can be ported to other platforms. I need Windows Mobile.
