Not finding any, Gore airbrushes in hurricanes for his new book

Al Gore’s new book had a problem – no big hurricanes since Katrina to put in the book to look “threatening” to the USA. Any imagined link between hurricanes and global warming has evaporated.

Solution: the artists airbrush.

Ryan Maue, hurricane expert from Florida State University writes:

Anthony,

Not a lot of hurricanes here

The cover opens and closes half and half — so you only see one hurricane…as in the press release photo or the one on  Amazon.

But this is the real picture sequence from the book which I looked at Borders today and took cell-phone pictures, original (before the retouching by some “artist”) Note all of the Arctic ice and the size of the Florida Peninsula…

and the final product:

Now with 4 scary hurricanes - hey where's the ice?

WUWT?

A midget Southern Hemisphere cyclone is off the coast of Florida, another hurricane is sitting on the equator off the coast of Peru — and the Arctic Ice is gone (perhaps it is summer) and the Florida Peninsula is half gone

There are other differences I am sure you can find — but the hurricanes are just nonsense…

Ryan

Here’s the book cover:

Nonsense? No more like scaremongering, especially when it has been shown time and again that there is no hurricane to global warming linkage, and we are at a 30 year low.

Mr. Gore, you are a charlatan.

“Ten years from now we’ll all be glad that Gore went out on a limb like this, with a concrete prediction. It’ll be ammo for our side, which we’ll reproduce gleefully. So we should be glad now that he’s gone on the record in such a falsifiable fashion.”
Ten years from now we will be under the heel of “World Government” and none of the authorities will care what we or the fat man said.

With this southern hemispheric hurricane on the northern hemisphere, the earth’s axis must have tilted. But it beats me how he can flood Panama.
BTW there is a version for children too!!

Published by Rodent, I see. No wonder it stinks to high heaven, has a cheesy cover, and is based on “science” shot through and through with holes.

wws,
I never said that Gore is writing good fiction.
In fact, he is writing fraud dressed as fact, something no ethical writer would do.
And the underwhleming response of the market place, inspite of the incredible amounts of free media hype Gore has received, tells me that the public is even less interested in AGW than what the polls show. From 1988, when gore first ran for President, he has been known as pompous and dull. No katter how much he profiteers off of AGW hype, nothing can hide that. Gore is the demonstration of what happens when you put lipstick on a pig.
I am certain that the great one himself, RA Heinlein, would understand what I am trying to say, and let me off with only a small facial scar in the duel. ;^)

Come on now! Let’s cut him some slack– if it wasn’t intellectually dishonest, it just wouldn’t be the real Al Gore.

How does this junk get published? Also, you would think Gore would have an actual scientist look at his garbage before he published it. My goodness Al, the gig is up! You are going to have to get a little more creative.

If you look really really close, you can see AL Gore’s mansion and the emission of CO2 from it.
Good catch Nole, but I still have to say Go Gators.

Umm, do hurricanes off of Mexico really rotate counter clockwise? I like the fact that El Salvador & most of columbia are gone. No need for the Panama canal, but NEW YORK LIVES! Awesome.

Here’s a great story.
http://www.gmanews.tv/story/177346/climate-change-pushes-poor-women-to-prostitution-dangerous-work
Effects of climate change have driven women in communities in coastal areas in poor countries like the Philippines to risk dangerous jobs, and sometimes even into the flesh trade.
Suneeta Mukherjee, country representative of the United Nations Food Population Fund (UNFPA), said women in the Philippines are the most vulnerable to the effects of climate change in the country.
“Climate change could reduce income from farming and fishing possibly driving some women into sex work and thereby increase HIV infection,” Mukherjee said during the Wednesday launch of the UNFPA annual State of World Population Report in Pasay City.

John Lynch converter from a qb to a safety because his passing wasn’t good enough for the pros. This may be what Tim Tebow will have to do. We’ll see. Probably not though. But qb’s make great safetys because they think like qb’s.

Al Gore is changing his ‘science’. He is now saying co2 controls only 40 % of climate. He is also making his message more about changing over to alternative energy not just to save the planet but because it’s the cleaner way to go and giving less emphasis to ‘climate change’ and ‘global warming’ in the process. The exaggerations in his movies, he feels, are justified because he was doing it in the name of doing the right thing, i.e., the ends justify the means.
So now he’s becoming more about switching to alternative energies for reasons other than averting global warming.
I wonder if he thinks that his ends do really justify the means with many children who’ve seen his movie still not being able to sleep good?

This is no joke, these people are planning to change just about everything we do in the name of global warming. To publish something like this and to have it being promote as the gospel truth is a crime. This man must be stopped before he destroys our civilization. All one has to do is study history and you will find many examples of how religous fanaticism has destroyed many cultures. When you talk to people they really believe this is what is going to happen in the next couple years. This needs to be on the front page of every news paper in the world.

Slartibartfast (13:46:01) :
What’s silly isn’t the illustration, but the assumptions behind it
But:
there isn’t enough water-ice on the planet to raise the sea level much more than a couple of hundred feet
says that you’re wrong about that.

I concede the point. what I should have said was, “What’s sillier than the illustration are the assumptions behind it.”
Bryn: It looks as though we’ve got a reprieve from the governmental heel, now that climate-gate has broken.
I don’t think that carbon taxes, if passed (which I doubt), would have persisted for ten years if the temperature kept on flat-lining and even cooling. People in the US would engage in civil and uncivil disobedience, escalating from Tea Parties to tarring-and-feathering.

This is what the historian Boorstin called the “geography of the imagination,” typical of medieval maps of the “known world.” All that’s missing are sea serpents and unicorn at the ocean margins, and printed warnings, “Here be dragons!”
So does Al “several million degrees/no controlling authority” Gore summon us backward, to an age of ignorance and superstition. You CAN tell a book by its cover—at least in this case.

Bit weak on the old ‘Investigative research’!
Not a real Gore fan but I think you’ll find that the cover of the book might be to illustrate what COULD happen rather than what IS happening.
Didn’t the title tip you off??
What a waste of f****** time this site is….

I think you’ll find that the cover of the book might be to illustrate what COULD happen rather than what IS happening.

But that would be wrong thinking. We’ve already covered that, and that cover doesn’t remotely describe anything that could happen. Please do try to keep up.

What a waste of fu***** time this site is

I can see you didn’t bother wasting any time actually reading what is being said. The battle of wits was over before it even got going, because you disarmed yourself.
