At the 4:12 mark, a speaker says that he hopes Castle loses his Congressional seat over his support of cap and trade, and the crowd cheers. Castle smiles briefly, then his face grows grim.
Around the 7:12 mark, Castle is booed after he says he believes in AGW.

Rich Miller, 76, of Zanesville, said he, too, is concerned about not just health care, but how the entire system is running.
“I’m sick to death of the whole deal,” Miller said. “The government is taking everything they can out of the people’s hands.”
Miller said he wants to see values in the country returned to the way they were more than a year ago.
“It scares me to death what the people in Washington are doing to us,” Miller said. “I voted for Space but when he voted for the Cap and Trade, that was it.”
Mark Hicks drove from Athens to tell Space that he’s never seen a more irresponsible government.

BTW, if you have not twigged what Cap and Trade is REALLY all about – its is simply one cog in the One Worlder’s globalisation dream.
http://www.slate.com/id/2021/
But to get a one world government you need to:
Level the wealth of people – ie, make the US and Europe poor, and give all that money and industry to the Third World. (Cap and Trade)
Destroy nation states, including the US and all the nations of Europe. This is best achieved by mass immigration, for a nation divided is no longer a stable nation (divide and rule)
Institute world problems that need fixing by a world government. (Global warming, pandemics, banking collapse, Kyoto etc: etc:)
.
.
The dream of world peace under a one-world government may be intoxicating to some. However, I think this is an extremely dangerous policy.
The One Worlders may dream of World President Clinton, a benign liberal leader of the world, idly playing with cigars and secretaries in his office. But what if someone else gets to wield the leavers of world power?
What if an Idi Amin, Joseph Stalin, Pol Pot, Robert Mugabe, King Abdullah Aziz, President Im-a-dinner-jacket, Osama bin Ladin, Hezbollah’s Hassan Nasrallah or Hamas’ Khaled Mashaa gets elected instead?
The world is not composed solely of soppy liberal Europeans or dreaming democrat Americans, who would (might) use world government for world peace.
People are mad as hell now just at the idea!
Just imagine how they’ll be once they start feeling the consequences of such a government invasion?
Pass health reform and cap & invade, and the US will need to impose martial law a year later.
Can’t elections be called off in the event of martial law?
That gentleman at the 4:12 mark hits the right tone. He was civil, yet got the message to Castle loud and clear. Hats off to that gentleman. He ought to run in Castle’s place.
If there’s also such a disconnected lawmaker appearing in your area, by all means show up and give them the same damn treatment.
The paper below on ocean heat goes with the discussion. Over 80% of global heat is stored in the ocean, when the ocean cools, as shown by the argo buoys, the ocean volume contracts and lowers. The sea level change is mostly a measurement of ocean heat!
http://scienceandpublicpolicy.org/images/stories/papers/reprint/changes_in_the_ocean.pdf
Even Hansen in a 2005 paper wrote that ocean heat is a robust metric for AGW. “Confirmation of the planetary energy imbalance,” they maintained, “can be obtained by measuring the heat content of the ocean, which must be the principal reservoir for excess energy”.
The paper states that there is a consensus that ocean heat(sea level) is the best metric to measure global warming, however we are measuring and discussing global surface or troposphere temperature which does not store the heat and is not a long term metric! Water stores heat, not air or land.

Here are Argo buoys measuring sea temperature.

Does anyone have the graphic for sea temperature from before the Argo?
@ur momisugly No free wind , I think you misunderstood ” by the company he keeps”. It is usually understood to mean who someone associates with, not a reference to a business enterprise. For example, “Those who lie down with dogs, will have fleas”. It was a comment on Obama’s choice of associates, which has been consistently radical leftist, anti-American, and ego feeding since he was in high school. The scary part is he sincerely believes he is doing “the right things” to save the country and humanity, and cannot understand why people can possible argue with him. Same as every other bloodthirsty tyrant throughout history.
I still can’t believe this is happening to the country I spent 20+ years actively defending, and took a lifetime oath on the behalf of.
He studies the bills? They never read them, what a joke.
“L: With apologies to the Swiss (who, like it or not, are mostly German)”
Please distinguish between “German” (people living in Germany) and “German-speaking”. Half of Switzerland, Austria, Liechtenstein and even parts of Italy, Romania and others belong to the latter category. Some Germans even believe that the Swiss hate them, many others go there to live better.
Of course there were politicians who wanted to bring Austria into the “Reich”, and who did so. Long time ago. And Moammar Gadhafi agrees with you and thinks that Switzerland should be split up between Germany, France and Italy.
The only way to “beat” this is civil unrest. The polticians, in bed with “big” business, have copulated and their “love child” (In the US at least) is cap and trade. In Australia it’s an ETS (Well actually not yet. The Govn’t has setup a “think tank” an “institute” to battle climate change…lmao…) and old SOL still presents “problems” for the IPCC climate modelers.
I don’t care what anyone says, that 0.1% shift in input energy from the Sun *must* have an effect. It may not be measurable in human lifetimes, but it *must* have an effect. After all, there are observed “effects” on other worlds in this solar system, I guess there is a partial answer there, *SOLAR* system.
“You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can not fool all of the people all of the time.”
Glad to see that the real people (ie. non-politicos) are seeing through the global warming nonsense and making themselves heard.
It seems that Peter Schiff (Austrian school economist/stock broker/author who predicted the crash) is also mad as hell. So mad that he is thinking of running for Senator of Connecticut. I know that he is against all kinds of Government intervention especially this cap & trade and social medicine nonsense.

He could use a lot of support.
Politics in America today is like a ping pong game. The voters get whacked by the Republicans, so they bounce over to the Democrats. Then they get wacked by the Dems and go back to the Reps. The game goes on and on.
IF YOU’RE TIRED OF GETTING WHACKED STOP VOTING FOR BOTH OF THEM! If you like freedom and the U.S. constitution vote Libertarian.

Errr. Bad psychology in your sticker. Most will just keep the “vote demokrat” subiminally, and you are defeating your purpose. ”
You may be right.
The other versions would be less apt to be misunderstood. But I’m reluctant to use them (or even refer to them here, for fear of offense).

Fascinating. How the little mind adheres to outdated ideas like fear-based propaganda. It flits about like a broken moth, sewing deceit and doom in the hopes that panic ensues. TWITTER MEMO: Goebbles and tired, old propaganda are dead.
Alexej, who said anything about dividing Switzerland? It so happens that 65% of Swiss are ethnically German, 18% ethnically French and 10% Italian. Austria is 99% and Liechtenstein 88% German. And both the latter were also German States until Bismarck expelled Austria from German affairs because of the Dual Monarchy’s “nationality” problem. So skip the history lesson.
My “apologies to the Swiss” was meant to point out that they, like their neighbors to the north, run a very tidy ship indeed.

Clairvoyant Clinton?

Where and with whom do they make these plans….Ron de Haan?
D. King,
I don’t understand why you add my name to the question.
Do you expect me to answer your question?
The entire US Government, left and right is rotten, infiltrated by the UN and under strong influence of George Soros.
Al Gore, the Clintons, John Kerry, Biden and Obama, all Sorists.
Ron de Haan (18:33:08) :
Ron,
I’m just starting to see all the links. You were right.
Dave
L (00:31:15) :
You relate that:
“Yet the Germans produce 12 billion board feet of lumber per annum. This means that they are, taking into account only USFS managed lands, more than 130 times more efficient at harvesting a truly renewable resource!
I have no idea what percent of our timber production comes from USFS managed lands vs. private land, but would guess that most lumber made in the USA comes from public land. “Free’” after all. Shame on us!..”
True on count 1, just about anyone is more efficient in producing timber than the USFS. The USFS has turned into a second National Park Service and is worthless in the timber production area. They have yet to come to the truth that you can preserve forest by using them, but instead they burn multitudes times more than they ever harvest.
False on Count 2: Private timberlands, both big and small, produce probably better than 85-90% of the timber harvested in the US.
The only thing the USFS is good for today is producing the data by which you can verify these statements.
Have a PhD in both forestry and watershed/hydrology, so know a bit about this subject and more than enough about climate, physics and other areas to be more than skeptical about AGW. It is a flat out sham!!
“L: 65% of Swiss are ethnically German”
It is much more complicated than that. Since Switzerland is in the middle of Europe, it has been occupied from all sides; the people are therefore a mixture of many tribes (Wikipedia is quite precise about that, but they should start with the celtic Helvetians).
Since the people are kept together by political will (and not ethnogenesis), they like to accentuate the differences with neighboring countries, like saying (in French) ninety-eight instead of four-score-ten-eight or (in German) not using the sz-symbol that looks like the Greek letter beta.
Cap and trade. Where is the reduction in greenhouse gasses? It is a farce and the policians who vote for it are doing so only for their own financial gain. The political class has become a neo-Roman clique that do not see the imminent collapse of the empire. What fools to seek it all and to lose it.
The State of Delaware; home to the Veep, and this RINO idiot, can be placed in 12 different non overlapping places, without ever going outside the bounds of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.
And in keeping with a certain Nobel prize winner’s wishes; I can only hope that from now on it enjoys the climate of any one of those 12 locations.

If Austria is 99% ethnically German; why on earth do they speak Austrian, as President Obama noted.
Just asking !

Well unless you were in the Military; then you were part of the problem for 34 years; and if you WERE in the military, then we can never repay you for your service; so thank you very much for that service.
The same crowd of wingnuts also railed on him about Obamas birth certificate.
I don’t think that crowd represents the brightest bulbs in our population. Some of these same people also believe that the moon landing was faked and that 911 was a government inside job – so maybe this post was not the best choice to use as evidence that cap and trade is a political bomb.
