Josh caricatures “team aerosols” thanks to Dr. Roger Pielke’s compilation of responses to this question:
‘Why, despite steadily accumulating greenhouse gases, did the rise of the planet’s temperature stall for the past decade?”
Excuses, excuses.

Wow, that’s tasty!
Lemme guess, the last person on the right is….me!
🙂
et Al? Afraid of a lawsuit or something from the humor impaired?
et Al [2011], not just any et Al.
Too funny, thanks Josh.
Could be Mike. Thought I saw a likeness to Dr. Schmidt. Maybe it was the caption.
Priceless.
Ah, the high priests of the Temple of Doom. How many of these guys actually believe that the world isn’t going to come to an end within 30 years?
Can anyone name one? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?
(Queue sound of a thousand crickets chirping.)
Anthony – For someone who has urged taking the high road, this cartoon is a pretty abysmal personal attack. Disappointing, to say the least.
Why even discuss it.? CO2 is good and warming is better..!

Same reason human sacrifice was invented. Two things happen at the same time, we assume once caused the other. The only answer, sacrifice to appease the gods for our sins of pollution. Otherwise we are all doomed.
Education does not change human nature. You can take the scientist out of the jungle, but you can’t take the jungle out of the scientist.

Of course! That’s what makes the unspoken so sweet! Besides, that tree-ring hugger craves attention, negative or positive, so leaving him out is the biggest insult one can drop.

Lmao, that’s a personal attack? No, its not. It is simply a cartoon that gives an interpretation of what they themselves stated.

‘.. that tree-ring hugger…”
I like it!
I would ask them all: “What is it like to have made a career being totally wrong 100% of the time?’

KR: Can’t let them get away with the “aerosol” BS. Josh knows this.

Is there spatiotemporal chaos in the system as Tomas Milanovic charges at Climate Etc? Sure, but it’s pinched by a constraining framework that shifts quasidiscrete asymmetric aliasing of the solar drive-wheel. The signature of asymmetric driver-wheel aliasing by driven wheels, no matter the size of the driven wheels, will NECESSARILY be a function of driver-wheel acceleration/deceleration. THIS is the marker of the WHOLE system.

I’ve made some cartoons too — animated ones:

There’s an explanation of the animations here:

I look forward to discussing this with Dr. Kevin Trenberth at some point in time. I’m discussing the above with a mechanic to try to find some analogies & maybe youtube videos to expedite cross-disciplinary communication.
Regards.

Wow! Just Wow! I’m dumbfounded.
KR seems to have no understanding of the attributes of various kinds of humour. I thought Josh nailed the essence of the current silliness from BEST and the various positions that have made each of the depicted figures famous or infamous, depending on the individual viewer’s perspective.
I don’t think Anthony takes the high road,he sets limits. It’s Mann at the end who is never wrong isn’t it?
Once upon a time I learned that the “al.” of “et al.” meant plural…….
“Et al” – could we not just refer to him as He Who Must Not Be Named?

To get to my suggested response to KR count back six letters (spookily also the number of people in the cartoon) from the initial letters of your two words.
Obviously, it’s the Flying Spaghetti Monster and his little elves, flying all over the place, celebrating the pirates of Somalia, as well as the hordes of file-sharing pirates. Did you know that plain pasta has a high albedo? I rest my case.
