AS usual the consistently alarmist mainstream media has been fulfilling its pay-for-publishing-propaganda mandate from the various environmental organizations to exaggerate, distort or out right lie about any sort of natural occurrence, and then attribute it to climate change. So readers have to promptly dismiss this sort of nonsense.

Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse should stick to gardening where fresh fertilizer is considered useful.

Several years ago a USGS research scientist reviewed data on changes in US East coast peat bogs and river sediments and concluded that sea level has been rising at an average rate of 1-2 mm/year for the past 6,000 years; the flat part of your first figure.

2026 has been the warmest summer on record for the US according to every data set.

That includes satellite.

Accordingly, WUWT has failed to update the USCRN data since May.

WUWT continue to ‘hide the incline’.

2026 has also, by far, the warmest year-to-date on record for the US (Jan-Sep).

It hasn’t been the warmest where I live. You only get that by averaging disparate temperatures. I don’t care who does it, it’s bogus.

You only get that by averaging disparate temperatures.

How else would you propose calculating an average regional temperature?

Effectively what you’re saying is that if it isn’t raining where you live then it isn’t raining anywhere else in the world.

July 2026 was the warmest July on record in CRN.

August 2026 was the warmest August on record in CRN.

September 2026 was the warmest September on record in CRN.

October is shaping up to be exceptionally hot as well:

Indeed, yet not a mention does it get in the fantabulous, “Climate fact check: September 2026 Edition”

If it had been the coolest July, August and September on record for the US, I suspect they may have squeezed in a mention.

But the warmest, “Blah!“
