According to the legacy media, the first early heatwave of the year in the West would be “virtually impossible without human-induced climate change.” That is bunk based on junk science, and is not even unprecedented, as we will explain on Episode #196 of The Climate Realism Show.

The Heartland Institute’s Anthony Watts, Linnea Lueken, Sterling Burnett, Jim Lakely, and special guest Chris Martz will reveal the truth about this heatwave and also cover other Crazy Climate News of the Week, including using carbon capture to carbonate beer, and how we should not be worried about climate change slowing the rotation of the earth.

We will be LIVE at 1 p.m. ET on YouTube, Rumble, X, and Facebook. Participate in the show by leaving your comments and questions in the chat.

Anthony had a cameo on the Jimmy Kimmel show last night!

From my FaceBook comment:

How cool is this? [Answer: Not very, but it does meet FaceBook posting standards and maybe a few shares.]

Jimmy Kimmel last night referred to the controversy raised by his comments that the new Director of Homeland Security, Markwayne Mullin was a plumber before he was a Senator and before he replaced Kristy Noem.

Apparently this annoyed various news media types who excoriated Kimmel “who’s not funny or handsome or anything.” Kimmel responded with clips from various news sources referring to US
Rep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s training as a bartender.

One of the clips came from Fox, interviewing climate blogger Anthony Watts, whose WattsUpWithThat blog I’ve followed (and posted upon) since 2008.

I did not expect to see Anthony’s cameo on Kimmel. Well done Anthony for succinctly stating “Bartender turned politician.” I’ll see you in a DC soon!

Nothing wrong at all with bartenders and plumbers in politics as long as they don’t pretend they know more than they know.

I looked up the WMO definition of a heatwave a few years ago. (It may have been changed or taken down by now.)

It was 5 or mor successive days in which the high temperature was mor than 5C greater than the historical average. The progressives have, as usual, changed the definition to suit their purposes. “Heatwaves” today are nothing like what they used to be.

Tree rings are also constrained in the past by LOW CO2..

Plants adjust their stomata placement according to general CO2 level.

Biological studies show stomata are “jam-packed” at about 250ppm…

… so whenever CO2 level is less than 250ppm (before 1900?), tree rings become CO2 constrained.
