From NOT A LOT OF PEOPLE KNOW THAT
By Paul Homewood
Dr Peter Ridd has been exposing the Great Barrier Reef scam for years, losing his job in the process.
He has repeatedly attacked claims by govt funded scientists that the reef is rapidly dying and shown that it is actually flourishing instead.
In this video he goes into the detail of how scientists abused the data to “prove” a sudden decline in coral growth after 1990:
To recap, this is the basis for the alarmist claims:
Yes, it’s yet another hockey stick!
And just as the original one, it is constructed by splicing two sets of data.
As Peter Ridd explains, monitoring of the reef ended around 1990. When measurements of coral growth began again after 2005, they used a lot of cores from young coral, which were easier to drill.
Younger coral has different growth rates to the older ones previously used. When these younger ones are taken out of the calculation, the downturn magically disappears and growth returns to pre-1990 levels.

We are told that warming of the ocean due to “Climate Change” is causing “Coral Bleaching” But if you hop on the internet and pull up a world map of where coral reefs are, it’s in the tropics where it’s warm.
That fact has never made sense to me.
The other day I downloaded what I believe to be the longest single-site sea surface temperature record on the planet (top graph attached). I removed the day-of-year (1-366) cycle shown in graph (b) and graphed the anomalies in (c).
I then over-plotted those data with de-seasoned monthly HadISST (Hadley Centre Ice and Sea Surface Temperature) anomalies for the Latitude – Longitude cell surrounding Puerto Ayora, Santa Cruz Island, Ecuador – home to the Charles Darwin Research Centre (Latitude -1.000 DegS to 0.000 (the Equator), Longitude 90.000 to 91.000 deg). (Note: monthly anomalies are calculated as monthly average HadISST DegC minus the seasonal (1 to 12) cycle.)
While the 60-years of daily data show zero trend, HadISST data show warming at a rate of 0.135 DegC/decade over the same time period (December 1964 to December 2024).
Funny how HadISST roughly agrees with the rate of warming of around 1 DegC/Century, and the rate of warming roughly agrees with HadISST.
Just guessing, perhaps they homogenized a trend into HadISST that agreed more-or-less with the warming narrative.
All the best,
Dr Bill Johnston

I think it was Rick Will that showed that tropical oceans had basically no warming, and compared that no-warming to model prophecies that showed warming.
Models are incorrect, because they don’t match reality.
Went to the Cloud Forrest at Gardens by the Bay in Singapore last night. I recommend skipping the propaganda movie at the end. It’s hot enough here as it is that the threat of GW is something people really can fear.
I’m lucky enough to have been to those gardens last year, but our tour missed the “Cloud Forest”. Fantastic city, I had no idea what it was all about before our visit.
Also, the tropical temperatures are more stable than what is observed at higher latitudes, especially the Arctic. The Arctic temperatures are invariably included in calculating the Global Mean Temperature. The annual temperatures where the coral grows is the metric that should be used for temperature impacts on coral.
There’s no prospect of any decent honest science in Britain
surrounded by the shiny offices of geological extraction companies including BP and Rio Tinto, that Kathryn Yusoff discovered a deep link between geology and racism. It was 2017, and the professor of inhuman geography from Queen Mary University of London was doing research for a book about the history of geology. – The Guardian
Are igneous rocks really racially aware?
I read the link to Kathryn Yusoff, someone’s having a lend, surely. If that’s genuine we’re all doomed.
She’d be a big hit down at the local on a Saturday arvo-
Public Engagement
I have developed a body of work that is interdisciplinary and international in its conversations on the Anthropocene, geology, and race within the broader fields of humanities and social studies of planetary change. Within those interdisciplinary fields I speak in many cultural forums on colonial extraction and epistemic violence and creative strategies to dismantle and reimagine the earth at the level of language, and in the context of geographical imaginaries and social theory.
In my academic scholarship, artistic, and pedagogical engagements, I have sought to define a new field in geologic subjectivity and understanding of the connection between geology and race. My research foregrounds the need for the recognition of discipline shifting research and interdisciplinary engagement with the issues of environmental justice and race. I seek to create community and critical practice around historic and contemporary Black and Brown environmentalisms.
Fossil fuels are definitely a victim of their own productivity and surplus value.
It speaks volumes for the intellectual dishonesty and decadence of our Universities that drivel like this can be taken seriously.
Who is paying for this woman’s garbage?
Hopefully, one of the agencies that has been DOGEd, or is at least on Musk’s radar.
As soon as someone mentions the Anthropocene, you know that they aren’t a serious scientist.
Yes, a more appropriate name (if thought necessary) would be –
Alarmocene.
Any use of pedagogy does it for me as you know immediately they’re into Goebbeldegook with the kiddies.
Are you kidding me? The Igneous Supremacists have been oppressing the sedimentary and rocks of metamorphosis for eons!
Their behavior of smothering other rocks and sometimes inserting themselves into the affairs of other rocks is untenable.
Not very gneiss of them is it.. acting like schist to each other.
Igneous rocks have been known to melt down if addressed with the wrong pronoun and it is not just a coincidence that the black basalts rarely associate with the light colored rhyolites. The unanswered question is whether igneous rocks are actually aware of their behavior. While one sometimes hears the epitaph “Dumb as a rock,” there is evidence that all rocks, even igneous ones, are intelligent. Note that if a gravel truck loses part of its load on a freeway clover-leaf, it doesn’t take long before the gravel moves off to the side where it won’t get crushed by the wheels of cars driving over the same section of road.
Of course they are. They come in all sorts of colours.
Basalt alone “is generally dark in color, ranging from dark gray to black. It can also have greenish, brownish, or even reddish hues due to the presence of minerals like olivine or iron oxides.”
If anyone was serious about understanding corals’ capacity for recovery and growth, they’d be setting up shop at Bikini Atoll.
Or, just setup at a bikini shop.
Or anywhere that’s survived the last 200+ million years.
Interesting. Thanks
Very nice Dr Ridd. Surprise surprise worthless government doing what it does best, lying and cheating.
After ozone hollering, Mann-made hockey stick and this case, this card-sharp trick is big enough that it needs its own name. “Sticky hockey”, or something.
