Live at 1 p.m Eastern: LA Fires NOT Caused by Climate Change – The Climate Realism Show #140

Historic wildfires have destroyed thousands of homes and businesses in Los Angeles County. Many homes of the rich and famous in Pacific Palisades, Malibu, and Pasadena have been reduced to rubble and ash. Entire neighborhoods were completely destroyed, and the fires have been blamed for at least five deaths. The speed at which the fires spread caught firefighters and residents off guard. Fed by hurricane-strength Santa Ana winds, embers were flying through the air seemingly everywhere and with no let-up. Climate alarmists have pinned the blame on human-caused climate change, but that is not truth.

On Episode #140 of The Climate Realism Show, The Heartland Institute’s H. Sterling Burnett, Anthony Watts, Linnea Lueken, and Jim Lakely welcome U.S. Rep. Doug LaMalfa (R-CA) and CFACT’s Chris Martz to cover the LA fires and some of the “Crazy Climate News of the Week.” There’s been some fascinating news since our two-week hiatus, some of it good. Blackrock and JP Morgan are the latest financial giants to drop out of the Net-Zero Banking Alliance, Michael Mann experienced his first-ever setback in his lawfare against climate realists, and Biden tries to tie Trump’s hands on drilling while also trying to ban some tankless water heaters on his way out of the White House.

Climate alarmists have pinned the blame on human-caused climate change, but that is not truth.

citation needed.

lease note the difference between pinning the blame ( moral notions)
and causing or contibutig to ( scietific notions)

and note things like drought can contribute without causing!

w have two words cause and contibute for a reason

whiplash describes it perfectly”

You mean changing from El Nino conditions to La Nina conditions?

It is called weather. !!

How do humans cause that ?

There is no evidence CO2 makes droughts more prevalent.

There is no evidence CO2 alters rainfall.

California has had much more serious droughts in the past.

The Santa Ana wind has been round for ever. !

If Chris can open a channel to Doug, who can open a channel to the Trump administration…

… that could provide serious clout !

The LA fires is proof that you can encourage particular outcomes by government focus and investment.

The Bass budget shifted funds from fire fighting to homeless. It has worked well, with less fire fighting and more homeless.

Many of the new homeless probably funded her campaign. They likely have different priorities now that they are homeless.

If the climate of a region makes conditions for disasters like wildfires to happen, then that is the unfortunate consequences of living on planet Earth. ”Climate/s” are a feature of living here.
The suggestion then is, – the climate has changed, It has changed for the worse and human activity has caused this change. Really?
Climate may contribute by making the conditions suitable, ideal, perfect for the dreadful tragedy of the fires we see. However, attributing blame to the demon Carbon Dioxide, produced by us humans, is a dishonest distraction. The causes are varied and therefore the blame is more complex than the usual throw away ”climate change”
