I gave up after some 3 minutes. Does it get any better later?
Me too, and that was at 2X playback speed.
How did we get “here” ??
I still not sure what “here” is meant to be !
Very snooze-worthy.
No, it does not get any better. I think that’s the point. It’s worse than Waiting for Godot.
You probably couldn’t handle Harrison Bergeron either. It takes about 10 minites to read. Here’s the Cliff notes for the video, similar plot to Harrison Bergeron:
Intrusive nanny-state government restricts citizens’ access to electricity, petrol, and commodities we take for granted. But the hypocritical governing elites and their wealthy friends don’t suffer the same privations. Life gets worse for everyone. Except the governing elites and their wealthy friends. “We” got here by repeatedly electing tyrannical idiots who pursue policies based on “our” idiotic, tyrannical beliefs.
Socialism in its many forms always destroys civilization.
Toward the end, the protagonist attends a party at his CEO’s lavish house and realizes that the “we” who must scrimp are not the elites.
A perfect photo is attached. This is Gavin Newsom dining with his elite friends at the French Laundry (a Michelin starred restaurant in the wine country) during the COVID-19 lock-down. Remember that Gavin shuttered most restaurants and required 6 foot spacing plus masks. This photo was taken from an adjacent hallway. Newsom is located (appropriately) on the far left in the photo.
6 foot spacing, not so much.
Only the wait staff had to ware masks.
Some of Gavin’s supporters tried to say that this was an outdoor dining area. It’s not.
An archived knowledge base about the agw scam will be an indispensable resource for future generations to gasp at the perfidy of the climate cranks cult.
The Kool-aid and Madness of Crowds memes will be trumped (‘Trumped’?) by the Climate Catastrophists Cult memes.
Have it end with a funeral that would give a stronger message
Disagree. A funeral has an end. This is an endless hell.
“This is an endless hell.”
I think that was the intent, describing California in 2035.
How did you get there?
Duh — by continuing to vote for the Democratic Party you jerk!
Yeah, no doubt this clip is probably a true view of what it will be like to live in the state of California in 2035 — a bunch of worried, neurotic democrats.
Democrat, not Democratic, they hate democracy.
Take the small wins keeping them up at night with their settled science-
It’s Over – Gino vs Harvard Fake Data Scandal
Thing 1 – Three cheers for YouTube transcripts. From the video:
That has happened. Dr. Michael Mann unsuccessfully tried to sue Dr. Tim Ball into the ground. He lost and, in the process, by avoiding to submit evidence under his control, basically admitted that he is a fraud. adverse inference Sadly, as far as I can tell, he has been more successful against Mark Steyn. 🙁
Thing 2 – Apologists will dismiss Gino as just one case, but that’s not true. There is the replication crisis summed up as: “Most published research findings are wrong”. Ioannidis
In biomedical research things are really bad. As many as 9 out of 10 research results can’t be reproduced. In a disturbing number of cases, the authors can’t even reproduce their own experiments. Rigor Mortis
Defund the universities.
Well done. Hopefully thought provoking for the ones voting for the madness. Or the ones still capable of having their thoughts provoked. Zealous adherence to a false ideology tends to ossify your capacity for critical thinking. This has similarities to another short film about the dreary world of leftist (socialist) government: 2081.

California is well on its way to this dystopia. Newsom and crew passed a new lay forcing refiners to greatly increase their storage of the California gasoline blend. In response, Chevron closed their last two refineries in California. In the twisted logic of the Cali enviros, it somehow makes more sense to haul in California blend gasoline from out of state refineries, rather than to refine it in the state where it is used. This will certainly increase the cost of petroleum products in the state, which already has the highest gasoline prices in the Continental US. Of the fifty states, only Hawaii is higher since ALL of their dispatchable energy sources arrive by ship. New York may find their gasoline prices shoot up higher than California after Hochul’s latest idiotic law which dings oil companies for fantasy environmental damage.
I find it ironic that Chevron in California used to be Standard Oil of California. Now with the Newsom crew closures of Chevron’s refineries, the remnants of Standard Oil of California are gone from the state where SOCAL was created.
The dystopia portrayed in this short film will be California’s future unless the voters stop casting their votes for people who have never signed the front of a paycheck.
