I didn’t sign up right away, I wanted to see if the ads were so bad I might not want to share WUWT’s posts. 🙂
The ads aren’t so bad. I mentally block them out and don’t see them. I can’t afford to elevate membership- living on a small social insecurity check. I’m probably the lowest income of anyone active here.
Maybe.
But even if I can’t afford to contribute, I do thank Anthony Watts and his colleagues and the editors and those who post essays for having this site.
If I were not retired, I might well have signed up at a higher level just to support you, without any intention of ever joining video meetups or other special features.
Our issue is not so much that people show up, but that they receive instructions how to if they want to.
Actually, I’m just supporting you. I’m doing other things at various times.
And thank you.
Great! I love this site.
Trying to remember all the passwords these endless accounts require is getting harder as birthday #80 recedes into the past.
I’ve been keeping all mine in a single encrypted file. There are commercial password keepers, but I started mine before they were a real thing.
Just a thought: Should there be a “subscribe” button so newcomers can join in? I may have missed it

I’m already paying $66 a year, yet I can’t see the premium content. How much more do I have to pay?
How much more? It looks like $113.88
You understand that the premium content is a nominal incentive to shoulder more of the cost of running this site?
Having a no-ads tier allows more of us to provide support than would be the case if $14.99/month were the only option.
Don’t be such an ingrate! I’m sure there are others making far more generous contributions.
Ingrate?? If I were an ingrate I wouldn’t pay at all. Don’t be such an ass.
I’ve supported this site for going on 20 years. You?
I’m also on the ad-free tier Jeff. But I am not whining about not getting enough for my money.
Those who can’t afford to pay but help generate some ad revenue however meager are not ingrates. Those who feel entitled to demand more are the ingrates. I stand by that statement. But sure, I can be an ass. Especially toward whiny, entitled pedants.
Where exactly did I demand anything?
I got a few emails not long ago from WUWT Publishing and added the address to my filter to put it in the same folder as the other WUWT stuff – but I have not received any more since.
