Microplastics, Global Greening, & the Dangers of Radical Alarmism | Dr. Patrick Moore

Jordan B Peterson

Dr. Jordan B. Peterson sits down with industry consultant, science activist, and past president of Greenpeace Canada (1971 to 1986), Dr. Patrick Moore. They discuss his time in Greenpeace, the historic timeline of global ice ages and climate change, the clear lies being peddled to promote alarmism, and how the woke left manipulates science (and scientists) to promote a falsely perceived and politically incentivized future catastrophe.

Dr. Patrick Moore has been a leader in the international environmental field for more than 45 years. He is a co-founder of Greenpeace and served for nine years as President of Greenpeace Canada and seven years as a Director of Greenpeace International. As the leader of many campaigns Dr. Moore was a driving force shaping policy and direction for 15 years while Greenpeace became the world’s largest environmental activist organization.

In recent years, Dr. Moore has been focused on the promotion of sustainability and consensus building among competing concerns. He founded and chaired the BC Carbon Project, a group that worked to develop a common understanding of climate change.

In 2021 Dr. Moore published “Fake Invisible Catastrophes and Threats of Doom” exposing the fake news and fake science around 11 claims of disaster including climate change, coral reefs, polar bears, plastic, nuclear energy, and more.

You can drag a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink.

I’ve always said you can lead a horse to water but you shouldn’t drown it until it drinks.

You can drag an environmentalist to knowledge, but you can’t make them think.

My spin is, You can lead a horse to water but you can’t make it rock and roll.

I have not read much from Patrick Moore in recent years. I sometimes re-read his old papers. They pass the test of time.

Leftists hate him because he was once one of them. Leftists hate anyone who opposes their scary climate narrative and is an effective communicator.

Moore is a hero if mine. Mainly for the unusual approach of celebrating CO2. Long before other conservatives did.

My interest in climate started with CO2 enrichment plant growth scientific studies. More CO2 is good news for plants. Plants are what keeps people and animals alive. Yet most people think CO2 is a satanic gas that will end life someday. A very puzzling anti-science belief.

An example of his views is here

Thanks for the link to The Global Warming Policy Foundation’s 2015 Annual Lecture by Professor Moore. That was a very good 6500 words that certainly took less time than the 1:45 You tube which was probably more Jorden Peterson than Professor Moore.

Old White Guys should be able to condense their message into 15 minutes max.

Old white guys can easily condense their message into one sentence.

Standard junior high science experiment is to extinguish a candle in a beaker using CO2. Next class is Al Gore’s movie. Sad really….so many learning opportunities about Sunlight, Earth’s Albedo, cloud reflectivity, evaporation and water vapor, buoyacy of air with additional water vapor, all missed because it doesn’t follow the “evil emissions” narrative.

The left has no ability to reason (since it requires intelligence).

That is why they cancelled Dr’s Moore and Curry.

The left is a brain dead bunch of lazy ignoramuses who are happy to spend easy money given to them by numbskull politicians. The left has never been anything other than an abusive bunch of frauds.

One day they’ll be caught as the frauds they are but in the meantime we shouldn’t expect any kind of intelligence from them – period.

They claim he wasn’t one of the originators of Green Peace. He can prove it but they repeat themselves.

The left thinks that they can cancel inconvenient people the way the Soviet Union used to.

If we allow them to gather the kind of power they want, they will, like their heros in Russia and China, have the power to make those they don’t like, disappear.

They already have gathered much power and wealth.
Control the language and you can control the ideas.

Ex.: CO2 is polution.

Leftists are over 90% useful idiots

The other 10% are smart and devious leaders, seeking political power and control … and getting it by any means necessary.

Leftists live to tell everyone else what to do. The ultimate goal is leftist fascism (leadership by leftist “experts”).

To become “experts”, leftists spend a little time studying every subject. Science, engineering, medicine, economics, etc. They eventually know very little about every subject. Some leftists reach the ultimate goal of knowing nothing about everything (Joe Bribe’em and Kamala Harris)

The Real Transition to Fascism is built on:
(1) A fake climate crisis
(2) A fake Nut Zero engineering project

The goal of leftist leaders is to give orders. They don’t care if Nut Zero is a failure. It will fail. That could actually benefit leftists: Here’s how:

The Honest Climate Science and Energy Blog: Nut Zero is a political power strategy and it is working as planned.

I arranged to have Moore speak in Calgary in 2017, was a well received session.

I remembered a radio interview Dr. Moore did on a Seattle (conservative) radio show. He talked about the claim that thousands (millions) of species are disappearing every year. It was hard to track, because these environmental groups quote each other. But he finally tracked it down to a computer model on the desk of a college professor. I sent an email to him asking who this professor was–because I forgot his name. I was surprised to get a reply. He said it was Harvard Professor E.O. Wilson. There was no counting of dead bodies–just numbers added up with a computer model.

Last year, Patrick Moore gave an excellent Zoom lecture to The Irish Climate Science Forum (ICSF).

It & other lectures by the likes of – Peter Ridd, Ole Humlum, William van Wijngaarden, Marcel Crok, Ross McKitrick; are available https://www.icsf.ie/
Lots of other useful links on the site.
Although called ‘The Irish Climate Science Forum’ there is a worldwide following; do have a look.
