I’m struggling to think of anything more fraudulent than this from NASA:
It goes without saying that the Earth looks nothing like this at all. Neither are GHGs “wreaking havoc”. And as CO2 is invisible, why try to persuade people it is not?
If NASA really wants to inform the public about the effects of carbon dioxide, why don’t they publish instead what their own satellite data shows?

In fairness, other than the computer generated visualization of CO2 emissions, the statements and assertions in the above article originate with India Today Science Desk (https://www.indiatoday.in/science/story/climate-change-global-warming-climate-crisis-earth-jupiter-co2-carbon-emission-2395932-2023-06-21), not NASA.
And I had an outright laugh at India Today Science Desk‘s claim that “The primary source of CO2 emissions is the burning of fossil fuels”. That’s only true if one wants to disregard the overwhelming contribution of natural emissions of CO2, as clearly revealed in the annual variations of CO2 in the northern hemisphere as detected and measured by the NOAA high precision atmospheric monitoring station located on Mona Loa (ref: https://gml.noaa.gov/ccgg/trends/mlo.html )
The truth is out there, independent of what India Today wants to assert.
Errrr . . . make that Mauna Loa, not Mona Loa . . . not enough coffee prior to my post above.

I had a three-year NASA grant for some research more than half a decade ago. The project didn’t turn out as hoped, and it wasn’t built on especially worthwhile ideas in the first place (although we didn’t know that in the beginning), but in the wind-down of the project no one cared much about what we learned. Instead, I discovered that NASA has an inordinate number of offices whose remit is to do diversity bean-counting. So, I felt like I wrote answers to the same diversity questions over and over to submit them to a different office.

That’s a bold-faced lie. Only about 5-6% or so of annual CO2 emissions are from human activities. The majority is from natural processes. If NASA actually made that statement then it is time to take away any responsibility NASA has over developing new technology, including but not limited to anything to do with space exploration.
Of course NASA didn’t say anything of the sort, that was India Today. The image was a frame taken from a video showing the spread of CO2 around the globe. The original NASA source is here:

Even if CO2 was visible, you still wouldn’t notice it because the concentration is so low. That picture is a perfect example of propaganda/disinformation.
The US government is out of control and needs to be cut down to size now. After seeing this NASA and NOAA should be on the chopping block. Better to start over fresh than continue with these rascals. Like I’ve said before the top 10 to 20 percent of current managers are not eligible for employment in any capacity if new organizations are created.
Maybe I’m missing something, but it looks like the verbiage about Earth looking like Jupiter came from India Today; not NASA. So shouldn’t the article title be “Earth Looks Like Jupiter – Is This What India Today Has Descended to?”

Yes made up stories by Paul Homewood certainly fall into that category apparently. He opens with: “I’m struggling to think of anything more fraudulent than this from NASA”, and then proceeds to quote the India Today article without any reference to the original NASA site which clearly explains what the video shows, with no reference to Jupiter! The fraud is the one claiming that the comment in a newspaper is an accurate representation of the NASA article.
WUWT is not much for takin’ back BS. What usually happens is that commenting stops – as here – and the article author and commenters move on. Of course without the correction that usually accompanies a mistake by the pinko/commie MSM..
Please can we all bear in mind that NASA is also doing its damnedest to downplay the effect of Milankovitch cycles. I guess the management team are looking over their shoulder to ensure that Government funding is still coming through…
