Guest Post by Willis Eschenbach
In my prior post on this subject, Palestinian Climate Change, I reported that I was overjoyed that the UNFCCC, the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, had admitted Palestine as a full member.

At the time I said:
I also recall from a few years ago that when Palestine was admitted to UNESCO, the US had to cut off funds to UNESCO because of US law. As an article at the time said, this was the result of “US laws that force an automatic funding cutoff for any UN agency with Palestine as a member” …
Do I see an opportunity for our lawmakers here? Yep. Will they act on it? Possibly not, but if it is indeed the law, seems like they could be forced to act …
Best to all, and I do hope some organization with money and legal resources takes up this question. At least the US could stop pouring money down a rathole, even if the rest of the world continued the lunacy.
Of course, the Obama Administration paid no attention to the law … but times have changed. From the New York Times today:
WASHINGTON — The Trump administration is preparing executive orders that would clear the way to drastically reduce the United States’ role in the United Nations and other international organizations, as well as begin a process to review and potentially abrogate certain forms of multilateral treaties.
The first of the two draft orders, titled “Auditing and Reducing U.S. Funding of International Organizations” and obtained by The New York Times, calls for terminating funding for any United Nations agency or other international body that meets any one of several criteria.
Those criteria include organizations that give full membership to the Palestinian Authority or Palestine Liberation Organization …
YOWZA! Get the US out of the UNFCCC, stop wasting money.
Further along in the article I find:
The draft order also calls for terminating funding for any organization that “is controlled or substantially influenced by any state that sponsors terrorism” or is blamed for the persecution of marginalized groups or any other systematic violation of human rights.
The order calls for then enacting “at least a 40 percent overall decrease” in remaining United States funding toward international organizations.
Gotta start somewhere, and that’s a good start …
I can feel my workshop calling, and it’s a lovely sunny day. Don’t want to get NDD, I’m out of here, best of life to all,

We are entering dark times. The lights are going out across the West, we shall not see them lit again for many a year.
Dark times for your buddies on the prog-left, you mean. For everyone else, the future’s so bright we gotta wear shades.
Anthony and team – many congratulations on 300m views.
Agree it is like 1776 all over again.
… And did that band ever get any success after that song…? 🙂
Seeing only darkness is one of the primary symptoms of proctocraniosis.
what runs through my mind continuously these days:

eh forgot it that link didn’t work like it should have.
80’s pop!! You made my day…
Catcracking
Hallelujah in 1776 it was dark times ahead for Georgie and his plethora of Red Coated parasites.
Now it is 2017 and dark times ahead for the plethora of Green Coated Paris-ites
Why would a President born and raised mohemmedan not be in favor of aiding and abetting a phony group of misfits like those ex Jordanian Arabs who call themselves Palestinians. Palestine is a region; not a country or nation of people.
g
Too right the lights are going out! It’s all this renewable energy…
Too right.
It’s also sad to see the US drop out of a full Democracy rating to a ‘flawed democracy’ standing. It important that this for a change is nothing to do with Trump, it’s due to the flawed voting system where votes are worth substantially more in some states than others. The US has been slipping for some time.
http://www.cnbc.com/2017/01/25/us-is-no-longer-a-full-democracy-eiu-warns.html
Correct, we are not a full democracy, never have been, hopefully never will be. We are a Republic. There is an important difference. Mobs don’t make good choices.
Gareth. Don’t you find it ironic that when a country uses its democratic process to elect its preferred head of state that its ‘Democracy is Flawed’? You’d have to ask yourself who makes these judgements…or even who elected them?
I mean who did ‘elect’ the ‘Economist Intelligence Unit’?
Yes Gareth,
.. . seeing all the rabid democrats trying to circumvent the USA Constitutional election procedure, , and refusing to accept the democratic will of the people…. sure is anti-democracy.
Gareth…..you flawed democracy was put into place to protect the minority vote
….getting rid of it would be racist
The US is not now, nor has it ever been a democracy. The US is a representative republic. I hope the US never becomes a “full democracy”.
… can you imagine the outcome of the voting system if it was “fixed” by the socialist LEFT. THEN you’d see the total destruction of democracy! Hello N. Korea!
“”if it was “fixed” by the socialist LEFT””..
They tried to…can’t believe it didn’t happen…and are now in shock
…due to the flawed voting system where votes are worth substantially more in some states than others. The US has been slipping for some time.
Yep, the US was slipping ever since Founders came up with that Electoral College thing.
I’ll tell you what’s flawed: the UN and their pets, the Philistines. (“Palestine” and “Palestinians” are the Roman–i.e., Latin–equivalents.) The Philistines had trouble with the Hebrews in Biblical times, and I see ho prospect of their changing now. David defeated them then; that may be Israel’s only choice now.
All you need to know about WHY we have the Electoral College is this:
Hillary won the national popular vote by 2.8 Million
She won California by 4.3 Million
No one whining about Popular vote not counting should be excused from explaining THAT!
Funny Gareth, were you advocating for UKIP in the aftermath of the last general election?
Nota bene
http://www.breitbart.com/london/2017/01/25/ukip-takes-massive-lead-stoke-trent-election-race/
Politicized rubbish Gareth, don’t go believing it.
Australia, with its preferential voting system, can also have political parties win an election without needing to win the majority popular vote…. American and Australia are not Socialist Democracies… They are both Federated systems with Constitutions and representative parliaments.
Democracy’s mob rule is not a satisfactory political system by itself. Democracy without constitutional restraints is an unworkable and unruly mob…. after all, North Korea calls itself a Democracy.
Well it could be worse. We could be like Canada where they don’t even get to vote for the Prime Minister!
“Greg F January 25, 2017 at 6:38 pm”
No-one in Australia votes for the Prime Minister (PM) either. A PM is a leader of a party and an MP in their constituency. They are voted for there and there only. This is how party MP’s can vote for a change of leadership, Turnbull replacing Abbott, Turnbull then becoming PM without leading the party in to a federal election.
“J.H. January 25, 2017 at 6:29 pm”
Australia is also a Constitutional Monarchy.
Gareth get your facts straight the US is not a democracy. It is a democratic republic and the electoral collage is there so the cities won’t dominate the election.
Sorry Gareth, there was a valid election and your preferred candidate lost. Get over it.
Why did the Democrats loose?
1) Corrupt hypocratic Hillary won the nomination. (Bernie boy couldn’t beat her)
2) Trump lambasted ALL of the Republican competition
3) Hillary got caught and lost a very marginal 2+% of the Democratic vote in 4 key battleground states to Independent nominee Gary Johnson giving those States Electoral College votes to Trump.
—a) Florida…29 E V
—b) Pennsylvania…20 E V
—c) Michigan…16 E V
—d) Ohio…18 E V
Your favored candidate couldn’t hold the necessary votes within her own party to defeat Trump, that is why you lost.
Decided by a lefty org. UN is as far from democracy as the edge of the universe. Same at the EU. All lefty, control everything orgs.
A flawed democracy? A perfect democracy is where two wolves and a sheep start a nation and the first thing they do is have a vote on what’s for dinner tonight.
The Electoral College was designed exactly so that the wolves (huge population states) didn’t get their say without the sheep (small population states) getting their say in the matter. California gets 10% of the US National vote (actually a little more), because of it’s population size. Given that, if they’re deranged, they can only do so much harm with their 55 electoral votes.
In this election, the “Sheep” (they aren’t really!) pulled out their second amendment rights and shot back.
A picture paints a thousand words:
Hey Gareth, do you get the point now?
http://thoughtfulreading.com/files/2016/11/2016-presidential-election-voting-map-by-county-featured.jpg
North Korea is a “full Democracy”, Gareth.
You should be required to take a remedial civics class, and not one offered by your Progressive/Marxist/Obama miscreants. I suggest the on-line courses by Hillsdale College.
Seriously!
As Hamilton explained in Federalist No. 68, a person could win by simple popularity in one State but it would take other talents and a different merit to allow him (or now her) to establish esteem and confidence across a considerable portion of the whole Union in order win the election. This was very clear in this election. Hillary Clinton was hugely popular in several sections of the Country but not so in the majority of the areas in the Country.
The United States has never been a democracy. We are, thankfully, a Representative Republic. Fortunately we also have freedom of speech so we can freely laugh at clowns like you.
Gareth, you are so right… said no one EVER! The Butthurt is strong in this one.
Gareth,
It was Plato who after seeing a pure democracy in action who realized that pure democracy was not the best form of government. Our founding fathers reached the conclusion that a republic would be a much better way to govern the new country which emerged in the last few decades of the 18th century. The peaceful transition of power which has occurred 44 times in the United States is proof that our system works without a violent overthrow of the government. The far left mods which have been protesting (and rioting) the last election seem to miss the point that unlike in many other countries, mob rule has no part in the American political system. You and whoever at the Economist created the democracy ratings seem to be missing this point.
Bryan A- spelling does matter. Hilary is a corrupt hypocrite. Hypocratic is a corrupted, non-word adjective, sort of referring to the Hippocratic oath doctors take. I guessed you meant hypocrite, cut it really interrupts following the thought.
Excellent points after getting through that.
Gareth, read the article again- ” However, Washington can’t point fingers at President Donald Trump for the nation’s downgrade.
“The U.S. has been teetering on the brink of becoming a flawed democracy for several years, and even if there had been no presidential election in 2016, its score would have slipped below 8.00,” the report explained. Instead, dwindling trust in government, elected representatives and political parties is to blame. ”
Nothing at all to say about our system of governance or the electoral college. It’s all about the poor performance of the government. Since the late 90’s it’s gone down hill, making bad policy both by the president and Congress, horribly biased, anti human enforcement of laws, the extreme reach of the government, all leading to dwindlng trust in the “political class”. That class includes, the president, how he runs his executive office, congress and the poor laws they have passed, and the vituperative talk and behavior from politicians, much of the “press”, and all of the special interest groups that are pushing hard to fracture the nation.
It’s also sad to see the US drop out of a full Democracy rating to a ‘flawed democracy’ standing.
Sez who?
Phil,
You are correct in that “Hypocratic” is a Corrupted form of Hypocrite, but the misspelling was intentional as it is also utilized referring to the corruptedness of Hillary
Given that nothing has changed structurally within the US for a really long time this determination is clearly political posturing on the part of yet another looney left organization which is, itself, trying to undo democracy and replace it with some form of socialism.
“The lights are going out across the West,”
No Gareth, wind and solar power don’t have quite that much market penetration except in places like Germany, UK and South Australia.
Firetoice, note very very carefully. A Republic is a State that is not a Monarchy, Thats all. Thus U.S.A. is a Republic governed by a democratic system. State and Administration, two different entities.
I would suggest that it is the very opposite. at long last someone sane has seen the light. Let’s hope that other leaders across the developed world will see the light and stop wasting tax payer’s hard earned money on worthless and uneconomic projects. There needs to be a lot of defunding and withdrawal of subsidies.
Grey
A republic is a sovereign state, country, or government which is organized with a form of government in which power resides in elected individuals representing the citizen body and government leaders exercise power according to the rule of law.
While your statement is technically correct it isn’t very accurate. A good example of the difference is the Electoral College. In a Republic the majority does not necessarily rule.

Gareth Phillips January 25, 2017 at 2:54 pm
Nice try Gareth.
For those who don’t know the real quote and back ground, it was the start of WW1 . A war brought on by mutual treaties that dragged one nation after another into world war.
Gareth trying to compare today’s politics to July August 1914 is repugnant.
The diplomats of 1914 were trying to stop a war. You are trying to protect a personal agenda that has been pressed upon the public through falsehoods and manipulation.
Below is the real quote and the circumstances around it.
http://blog.nationalarchives.gov.uk/blog/lamps-going-europe/
No Gareth the lamps are coming back on, all over Europe and the World and the the cockroaches are a scurrying.
michael
+97 !!!!!!!!
“The lamps are going out all over Europe, we shall not see them lit again in our life-time.”
An added irony is that Sir Edward Grey, who said that, went on to become blind.
That’s what happens when you try to power electical devices with that most worthless of electrical power- unreliable low quality and massively industrial green power which solar and wind most definitely are.
Gareth,
You are mistaking dawn for dusk. This is not unusual for someone who has been far too intoxicated for far too long on their own bs.
You mean it appears so because people like you are closing your eyes and ears, refusing to accept that from the ‘liberal left’ viewpoint of preferred outcome, you completely stuffed up and lost the election to an outsider like Donald Trump. March on Washington all you like you self important fools.
Sorry, Gareth. The lights have been going out for decades, as out nation wandered away from the basic tenet of the Constitution: A federal government of defined and limited power.
Seems like the light of dawn to me.
“our” not “out nation”
Futures so bright we gotta wear shades!!! LOVIN’ IT
Cry me a river, Gareth-troll. Go ahead and eat your twigs, figs and seeds, and use your dung and nearby scavenged wood for heat and cooking. Enjoy the truly hard times that will exist without hydrocarbons.
Please, be my guest. I dare ya!!!
Gotta hand it to you, Gareth-troll, for your posting hit the 100+% mark for troll points – a simple posting that has gotten way too many responses (mine included, LOL on me!) and wasted way too much time and resources. WELL DONE!!!!!!
Kinda like the whole renewable energy scam.
Is Gareth-Troll related to Griff in any way?
More fear and loathing, eh Gareth? It’s getting really old though. Could you come up with something else?
“We are entering dark times.”
Only for you sad, pathetic, PeeCee “Liberal” Lefty lot.
For most of us, things are looking up – fast.
Ah Gareth I’ve caught you trolling again!!!! Crawl back into that dusty spider hole and GFY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It’s a start. Perhaps in a short while he can reduce funding by 80% in the corrupt and criminal UN.
Kar: +100
Anyone that is able to and half sane takes their family out of plastine. Only the zealots and those unable to leave stay behind. Therefore, overtime, the population that remains becomes even further uncompromising.
plasticine? I have to get out of that.
No, you need to get out of “plastine”, plasticine is still worthwhile holding onto.
No, plastine. You know, over there around Irsral.
>¿< this thread is giving my dislexia a workout.
Yep! Maybe coming next Monday afternoon: US cuts funding for UN including Peacekeeper Ops, and all funding for UNFCCC and IPCC.
If anyone (US wise) wants to be a reviewer and enjoy the booze and partying at the next IPCC shindig they can do and go on their own dime (Travel on Away-Without-Pay, non-payed vacation) (which means all US agencies involved with any Science field will be banned from funding in any way by any means US personnel to work on IPCC documents on Gov Pay-And-Time and attending IPCC Functions on US Gov Pay-And-Time and Travel on Gov Pay-And-Time and Per Diem per day of attendance!
Ha ha Yee Haaa
If the US decides there is a legitimate need for assistance in a particular country, I recommend we bypass the UN and work directly with the specif country. This bypasses the overhead and abuse by UN personnel and would give more recognition to our contributions. I’m sure there are details to work out but this would be more effective.
“bypasses the overhead and abuse by UN personnel”
brilliant
Even if it weren’t a matter of ideological differences, and of course it is, the U.S. cannot afford to send money to every blasted organization on the planet. People may disagree about the exact set of circumstances that got us into our current financial pickle, but CBO projects that we will run deficits of one trillion dollars annually after about 2022, and an average of 750 billion a year between now and then. Obama did not help any of this to have campaigned on fiscal prudence, then proceed to run 9.5 trillion in accumulated debt, increase baseline of the budget within his first 100 days, and hobble the private economy in a thousand ways over eight years.
Trump has his work cut out to figure a way to save ten trillion over the next decade and stimulate the economy beyond the current 2%, or less, growth rate. Freezing Federal hiring, and freezing current pay and benefit packages was something I suggested to my wife weeks ago, and Trump did this on day one much to my amazement. Spending on international agencies that has zero benefit to anyone but a horde of bureaucrats is the next best place to cut. I wish Trump great luck–we all need it.
Take anything from CBO with a truckload of salt. It has long been corrupted and politicized by the Left, and needs drastic, possibly fatal, reform.
Those estimates from the CBO work against the interests of the Left inasmuch as they serve as a warning of bad things to come. Based on your perception, the deficits are probably going to be even worse that that!
I have long suspected that the UN is a conduit for a lot…a LOT…of rake-offs by politicians. Maybe a good hard audit is called for…on the entire organization.
Depending on who is counting, that includes a large portion of the UN. Don’t lose sight of the fact that the original folks fighting for the establishment of Israel were the Irgun. Do they only count as terrorists if we don’t like them? Russia has sponsored a lot of terrorism over the years. Do they get a bye because they are big and powerful? How about our dear friends the Saudi Arabians?
Terrorism has been a catch-all excuse for many really bad things. It’s right up there with CAGW alarmism.
Let’s see, does Israel sponsor terrorism? No. Do we support Russia financially? No. So far it sounds like Trump is on the right track refusing funding for any state that sponsors terrorism. A penny saved is a penny earned….
You are correct stinkerp, Israel doesn’t “sponsor” terrorism. It commits it directly when it attacks the Gaza Strip with F-15’s and demolishes homes in the West Bank.
In your strange world, attacking people who indiscriminately murder children, women and old people and planning to completely exterminate you is terrorism.
I suppose you expect jews simply to die.
Let me guess, Steve–you’re a card-carrying Progressive/Marxist that voted for Obama twice and would do so a third time regardless of restrictions by the Constitution. Am I right?
The Irgun was one of two small groups which fought against the British before 1948. It had split off from the Haganah, the main armed group which opposed some British policies but did NOT fight against the British. The Irgun were called terrorists by some but their tactics hardly compare to those of today’s terrorist groups.
You seem to have forgotten about the King David Hotel bombing.
Re: King David Hotel Bombing.
The Brits were warned before the bombs went off. They chose to ignore the warnings.
The original folks fighting for the State of Israel were the Macabees…..
Are they the ones who make that beer?
You are correct that the definition of “terrorism” has been as fluid as the left’s definition of “sex.” The law does not prevent POTUS Trump from exercising his discretion in deciding which parts of the UN to defund.
Trump Will Be “Neutral” On Israel-Palestine Conflict
President Truman’s Diary
[The entry for this day is written on three loose pages, interleaved in the diary book.]
6:00 P. M. Monday July 21, 1947
Had ten minutes conversation with Henry Morgenthau about Jewish ship in Palistine [sic]. Told him I would talk to Gen[eral] Marshall about it.
He’d no business, whatever to call me. The Jews have no sense of proportion nor do they have any judgement on world affairs.
Henry brought a thousand Jews to New York on a supposedly temporary basis and they stayed. When the country went backward-and Republican in the election of 1946, this incident loomed large on the D[isplaced] P[ersons] program.
The Jews, I find are very, very selfish. They care not how many Estonians, Latvians, Finns, Poles, Yugoslavs or Greeks get murdered or mistreated as D[isplaced] P[ersons] as long as the Jews get special treatment. Yet when they have power, physical, financial or political neither H[1]tler nor Stalin has anything on them for cruelty or mistreatment to the under dog. Put an underdog on top and it makes no difference whether his name is Russian, Jewish, Negro, Management, Labor, Mormon, Baptist he goes haywire. I’ve found very, very few who remember their past condition when prosperity comes.
Look at the Congress[ional] attitude on D[isplaced] P[ersons]-and they all come from D[isplaced] P[erson]s.

Trump says he’ll make Israel pay for defense aid
http://www.timesofisrael.com/trump-says-hell-make-israel-pay-for-defense-aid/
Good!
if you had a point anywhere, it must be on your head.
What statistics?
Osama … you don’t have a clue!
This is bs that NEVER happened:
“Entire nations could be wiped off the face of the Earth by rising sea levels if the global warming trend is not reversed by the year 2000. Coastal flooding and crop failures would create an exodus of eco-refugees, threatening political chaos.” -Noelx Brown, ex UNEP Director, 1989
Not a single “climate refugee.” And not a single inch of sea level rise. Osama: you’re a fraud!
Damn, Donald Trump seems to be exceeding all expectation and he hasnt been in power for a week yet!
I suspect the UN as a whole may be scared about their survival without American cash.
My support is not with the United Nations, as my research of a number of operations show that they do not have people and society in mind.
In other words they have gone off the rails and are past their use by date.
Cheers
Roger

this is so unusual for me to run across good news on a daily basis.
what’s a cynic to do?
Hopefully if Trump withdraws enough funding from the U.N. Agenda 21 will get flushed down the toilet with the rest of the [trimmed].
Amen to that!
William,
We can only hope that this will happen.
Along with the Kalergi Plan that seems to be a method to achieve the objectives of Agenda 21.
Willis:
You did indeed call this one. I’ve been expecting this shoe to drop with the new administration. People portray Trump as a wildcard, but in much of what he has done so far he is simply following the law as passed by Congress and signed by previous presidents. What a concept.
Yes, and it makes that Progressive/Marxist Obama the aberration rather than the norm, and everything he did was an anomaly as far as US presidents go. He will go down as the worst–far worse than Jimmy Carter, to put it in perspective..
“Of course, the Obama Administration paid no attention to the law”
This implies that Obama restored funding that was cut by US law. Although he did repeatedly request a waiver from congress, he never got it.
http://www.cnsnews.com/news/article/patrick-goodenough/kerry-i-am-determined-restore-us-funding-pro-palestinian-unesco
I am hoping that Trump throws the UN out of the US and makes them go someplace where there are real problems. I think the center of Africa would be the place.
Trump’s incentive would be that the US lets him buy the old UN building, put a big gold T on it, and turn it into a condo development with river views.
Good idea.
I have always wondered why the refurbishment didnt include piers and berths for water transport etc. considering the height the East River is supposed to reach soon:)

Timbuktu would be a great location. Most of the energy there is renewal. Sticks and dung. Very clean.
I love the smell of a balance budget…..and I smell one coming
We’ve been had.. played for fools….both sides…democrats and republicans
Stir it up..keep it stirred up…and do nothing about it….both sides have claimed they couldn’t do anything
Trump is making fools out of all of them….

ABC News Admits To Lying Again

Dang Willis, your thoughts for middle-east peace belong on another blog.
You have one now, don’t you ?
and can you please quote the remark concerning middle east peace, if you will.
I don’t have one, you caught me out, nice work.
I just thought the topic was inflammatory, just me I guess.
you handled that perfectly.
respect!
What’s inflammatory is tying climate change to the “Mid-East Peace Process”, wherein the Arab world is allowed to have eradication of Israel as their primary platform and should Israel dare fight back, they’re castigated every which way under the sun.
Seems “climate change”, especially in the Arab world, is a prescription for addled statecraft. That’s a major reason it should be quashed.
What does the US get out of International Assistance anyway?
Now if we were moving the third world forward on democracy and free enterprise and the rule of law and property rights and successful police forces, I would be on board. But it mostly ends up in the hands of some NGO who uses the money to lobby Congress for even money or it ends up in democratic Congresspeople’s election funds or it goes into a Dictator’s military oppression system and Swiss bank account.
Like climate change, cut-off the money until the field cleans itself up (by being short of money). But I still think Roy Spencer and John Christy should be awarded $1.0B of the existing climate change money to set-up a new “climate measurement” agency. Starting the process to clean-up the field.
Seconded!
Here! Here!
I saw Cruz on Hannity call for the US to cut off UN funding until people the Israel vote is reversed.
Bazinga!
https://www.nytimes.com/2017/01/25/us/politics/united-nations-trump-administration.html?_r=0
well….what kind of vote do you expect…when most of the members are third world trash dumps
They might be trash dumps but at least they’ve got stability. Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen), President of Palestine is now in the twelfth year of his five year term.
Obama would be green with envy, if he wasn’t green with irrelevance and impracticality.
I wouldn’t recommend tyrants and despots as a recipe for political stability, gnome. A 4-year term for president repeated once is enough to keep the political class from turning into a political cesspool. However, your example of Obama is quite fitting (and something the US couldn’t afford).
Hey, if it’s stability your after, I recommend charming North Korea. 70 years and they’re only on their 3rd beloved leader. And really, they weren’t all that different from each other anyway. Why, it’s practically been one continues ‘long march’.
And let’s face it, it’s unlikely to change there anytime soon. :p
Gareth of course is quoting British Foreign Minister Edward Grey in 1914 “lamps going out” Not really applicable. The UN is not a democratic institution in any sense of those words. It has long been subverted by member states ruled by oligarchies and dictators. Like The EU, FIFA, Olympic Committee, and a host of other international institutions it is corrupt and worse than useless. Barefooted kids kicking a Futball on a dusty field have nothing in common with grossly overweight old men in Armani suits stuffing themselves at Maxims. North Korea doesn’t belong on the UN Human Rights Commission but the fact that it was there tells you all you need to know.
The smell of fear is in the air as many a mouse is seeing it’s reliable cheese supply snatched away. Can’t we condescend to those expressing alarm by stating that change is inevitable and they must adjust to it. You know… that’s what they tell the citizens whose work and culture are displaced by their policies. Relax, enjoy the ride. Perhaps another quote is more appropriate to the times “we have nothing to fear but fear itself”
I was a Trump skeptic (skeptic of course) for a long time. The style is sometimes disconcerting but the policy direction is good. That is the opposite of what we usually get.
I read nothing about Mid East Peace. Far from it. just a budget cut issue.
Another good day in the news!
God Bless America and all who love Her!
“erminating funding for any organization that is controlled or substantially influenced by any state that sponsors terrorism”
So when will we include Saudi Arabia in that list? Or do we just include the politically expedient and ignore the obvious? The latter is my bet.
Saudi Arabia will be hurt badly by Trump’s energy policies. They know that, and so does He.
As soon as they become a competitor instead of supplier.
An elected official that does what was promised.
Amazing.
——
About the election: One has to know the rules.
In 1960 the NY Yankees and Pittsburgh Pirates met in the World Series of baseball.
NY scored 55 runs. The Pirates scored 27 runs.
The Pirates became the Champions. The Yankees went home.
Hillary lost the election. She knows the rules. She went home.
The voters won.
It truly is making liberal heads explode. The MSM is in meltdown and so is the DNC–the people they’re considering to replace that criminal Wasserman Shultz has turned their organization into a circus (maybe they’re just trying to replace the now-defunct Barnum and Bailey?)
If your reasoned inquires, long study of the issues, and diligent pursuit of the facts has led you to the conclusion that the climate change meme is a destructive anti-democratic political movement you can not do otherwise than fight it when given the chance. In the USA reasonable people having reached just that conclusion have come to power and unlike a parliamentary system they cannot be stopped in the short term. Trumps cabinet picks really said it all. These are people who have run against the fashionable tide and are proud of that fact. They may waffle a bit and smile to get through confirmation hearings but are very unlikely to be swayed once in power. They are used to having a mindless wind against them.
The Trump revolution has gotten off to a terrific start. The people voted for it and he is coming through like an anti-establishment tornado. Gotta love it. Cut the waste, cut the pal review system, cut the PC BS. cut the handouts, and on and on…..
What do we want, We want Change!
And we got it folks! We no longer are on the edge as this song puts it, we are in the Anti-Establishment Revolution for sure. Snowflakes beware 😛
