The WordPress.com stats team prepared a 2015 annual report for this blog. I’ve supplemented it at the end with some additional info.
Here’s an excerpt:
About 2,500,000 people visit MoMA in New York every year. This blog was viewed about 42,000,000 times in 2015. If it were an exhibit at MoMA, it would take about 17 years for that many people to see it.

2015 turned out to be slightly lower than 2014 in terms of total viewers and views, but it is still the second most busy year since the blog started in November 2006.
December of 2015 was our best month, owing to coverage of COP21, AGU15, and our new presentation at AGU on the surfacestations project:
WUWT remains the #1 climate related blog in the world, and our detractors would be thrilled to get even a fraction of the reach we get.
In 2016, there will be some changes and improvements, which I’ll outline in an upcoming post.
For now, I wish a Happy and prosperous New Year to everyone who helps make WUWT what it is, including the guest authors, moderators, readers, and yes even my detractors, whom I’m sure will find some obtuse and amusing way to turn this success into a negative.

Anthony, thanks for all the work that you have put into the massive resource of WUWT.
It is World-wide reference for the struggle against CAGW. I think that the reduced hits could be due to the Pirate Ship CAGW being holed below the water-line and listing horribly. People have noticed and relaxed a bit. However it is still too soon to relax.

might i suggest the alleged slight drop in 2015 could have been due to INTERFERENCE, sometimes blamed on malicious wordpress ads, which made it extremely difficult for some people to open WUWT in 2015, especially in the latter part of the year…and most especially during COP21.
a number of readers complained.
my guess is the December figure would have been even higher if this were not the case.
onwards and upwards in 2016…there is still much work to be done to salvage the climate & related sciences.
I have just found the following less than insightful comment on a BBC webpage posted yesterday called “year in focus”:
“If world leaders arriving in Paris for the COP21 climate talks needed a visual representation of why they were meeting and what was at stake, the smog cloud blanketing Beijing in China could not have happened at a more opportune time.”
So seemingly the BBC are still struggling to grasp the very most basic, entry level, kindergarten issues.
I’m not sure whether they think that smog is caused by CO2, by climate change, or perhaps by the failure of bureaucrats to make non-binding agreements.
I can’t really see why the smog in Beijing would be a suitable representation of the decision made about spending lots of money on SOMETHING ELSE ALTOGETHER, i.e. CO2 emissions reduction and an attempt at climate manipulation.
I agree that we should look into dealing with pollution and especially indoor smoke.
That’s why we should stop wasting so much money on off-shore wind turbines and expensive meet-and-greets for the liberal elite. Let’s address the pressing issues that the world faces, instead.
I suspect that the BBC have no idea how dumb this comment makes them look.
If we had urgently needed yet another representation of the level of idiocy and obfuscation that exists in both the media and also in the minds of politicians regarding the topic of climate change and greenhouse gases, then this comment from the BBC could not have provided us with a better example.
Although we should also ask the question:
Are BBC journalists intentionally deceiving the public or are they merely uninformed imbeciles?
I personally suspect that the rather boring latter option is the more likely explanation.

This is off topic, but it may be of interest to many. RSS for December has just come in at 0.543. This is the hottest December on record, however 0.543 was beaten in the first 8 months of 1998 and for 4 months in 2010. The 2015 average is 0.358, putting 2015 in third place behind 0.550 from 1998 and 0.468 from 2010.
The pause has decreased by one month to 18 years and 8 months. Now, the pause goes from May 1997 to December 2015.

WUWT has our host’s “agenda” of promoting the truths of climate science and AGW-alarmism. It is the world’s most popular blog on climate issues and has won the title of ‘Best Science Blog’ outright because of its very, very light-handed moderating policy.
2015 was the Year of Climate Skepticism and it culminated in the Paris CoP the failure of which confirmed the demise of the AGW-scare that had initiated at the failed Copenhagen CoP in 2009.
Interest in AGW is fading away as the AGW-scare is fading away. And interest in WUWT reflects interest in AGW. Therefore, it is quite possible that 2015 will have been when WUWT peaked, but that remains to be seen. What is certain is that WUWT played its part in the defeat of the AGW-scare, and our host, Anth0ny WQ@atts, deserves congratulations for that.
In light of the facts I have here stated about the situation on planet Earth, perhaps you would be willing to state the planet you inhabit?

What you are doing is interesting. Would provide the concept of providing a “floating Construction Unit” as a coordinated floating energy extraction equipment to extract energy from waves, tidal, solar and wind.
Part of the energy ectracted would be used to inject air into sea water or to spray sea water into the air

The numbers of hits and views is interesting, but I was hoping to read about this and that prediction and how it came to fruition, or this and that alarmist prediction which is now under so-and-so many feet of solid ice, etc. To me, that would really constitute a year in review.
