US Survey: 97% Of Americans Don’t Believe Climate Change Is Top Concern

A new Fox News poll finds that in the wake of the Paris terror attacks, the issue of terrorism has become the top concern of American voters. Only 3 percent of respondents said that global warming was the most important issue facing the country today.
When asked what is currently the most important issue facing the country, 24 percent of those surveyed said terrorism. That number stood at 11 percent the last time Fox News conducted the poll. Another 21 percent cited the economy as their top concern. The issue has been at top of the list for most of President Obama’s tenure in office.
The new poll also found that Americans are largely unconcerned with climate change, which the Obama administration has repeatedly pointed to as the nation’s top security threat. Only 3 percent of respondents said that global warming was the most important issue facing the country today, down from 5 percent in a Fox poll released last August.

That is a train wreck. really… it is.
The correct answer is:
1 The Economy
2 Healthcare
3 Foreign Policy
And let the rest sort itself out.
Terrorism is a subset of foreign policy and is higher up because of recent news stories.
But generally people know that’s the top three, in that or a similar order.
Such polls are relatively useless.
The responses reflect the topic in the current news cycle.
Had a poll been taken (likely was) right after storm Sandy or H. Katrina the numbers for “climate” would be much higher. There was more weather and less terrorism in the news.
If unemployment were increasing instead of going down, then “the economy and jobs” choice would not have dropped from 30 to 21.
Still, it is nice to know the folks look at the news.

97% of Americans don’t believe climate change is the top concern, but 97% of scientists believe it is the top concern. Is it possible to do a Venn diagram here? Like, of the 97% of Americans who don’t believe it, how many are scientists? Or of the 3% who do believe, how many are not scientists. Oh, my head is starting to spin!
The majority if scientists who agree climate change is man-made are just parroting a few. All are referring to the same data sets, which have been shown many times to have been manipulated. The issue has become too politicized. This scientist does not believe man’s activities are having a greater impact on climate than natural events (e.g. Solar flares). Why? Because the variability in the data does not justify rejection of the null hypothesis, which is there is no effect.
This is false narrative, regarding 97% of scientists. There no 97% consensus on global warming – it’s really conclusion of a fraudulent study that should have never seen the light of day. The real percentage, calculated from their data without using statistical trickery is something like 30%-40%, if I remember correctly.

Don’t let the alarmists use this data, or the answer will be 97% view climate change as the top concern, because (naturally) terrorism, economy and jobs, healthcare, etc., etc., are all concerns that wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for the evil climate change that is occurring. As far as the zealots are concerned, only “other” and “don’t know” are not climate related – and they aren’t so sure about “don’t know” – global warming might be confusing them.
No need for that. I’m attending a meteo conference in Zagreb, Croatia, and among the scientists there, not even a peep about Paris. Only one mentioning of the greenhouse gasses, and that from a single extremist – outside of presentation. An oceanographer even included a Josh illustration in his presentation with scientists gathered around a modelling machine.
I’d say that’s a tidal change.

I would expect that, of the 3%, most are concerned, not with global warming itself, but with the misspent billions of dollars that are being wasted on it. Tax dollars spent in pursuit of fraud and fakery are a good reason for concern, especially with a dishonest and partisan IRS in charge of collections. Can we really trust the tax collectors?

What 97% of Americans think will have precisely 0 influence on what their President commits them to in Paris. It will similarly have 0 influence on what he talks other countries into doing.

It’s clear that Bobama intends to force a climate treaty on us, no matter what the people or Congress think. It’s a political issue. He’ll call it binding by executive action and do everything he can to make it so unless ejected from office.
The real headline ninety-seven percent is the share of the ongoing atmospheric carbon dioxide increase arising from natural causes. Decarbonizing any part, even all, of the remaining three percent of the increase is an absolutely fatuous objective.

Hadn’t seen that yet thanks for sharing. Yet it’s the UN that continues to be the prime mover of AGW despite the overwhelming desires of the people. That should tell EVERYONE something about the intentions of the UN with respect to AGW. The whole “we know better than you and we’re here to protect you from yourselves” meme has worn thin.
Really who cares about numbers anyway? Whether Americans think there is a problem is not really the issue.
It’s a huge issue, especially for the Climatist ideology. If people don’t take the “threat” of climate change seriously, then political support for energy policies which punish “carbon” and favor “green” energy erodes.
In their heart of hearts, climatists know that the jig is up. You can only push lies on people who are free (to an extent) for so long.
Now listen, US Citizens, if your President says it’s the biggest concern today, that’s what it MUST be – and don’t forget he’s also the hereditary (by incumbency) “The Leader of the Free World”. (“Free” as in we’re giving it away.)
The fact is that 97% of those who have looked at the data in the round, and/or 97% of the people who have listened to the numerous and endlessly repeated predictions of catastrophic doom, hellfire and brimstone lying upon the immediate horizon unless we repent our evil CO2 emitting ways, and seen all these predictions to be patently false, know that the shrills of dangerous Climate Change have no substance and are therefore of no significant concern.
Never have politicians been so out of touch from the citizens that they are meant to represent. The disconnect between politicians and the citizens is worrying and serious. Politicians need to get a grip on reality and need to discover a way as to how to reconnect with the citizens failing which troubling times lie ahead for all.
I consider that in the West, particularly in Europe, we are very close to another Berlin Wall moment. Politicians really need to start learning (and quickly at that) what democracy is and start acting more in accordance with the will of the people whom they are meant to represent.

Actually, only 97% of the current administration–that in the US, specifically–believes that ISIS is not Islamic (and they call it ISIL for emphasis). Obviously, they lie. The rest of the world simply laughs at their attempts to distort and obfuscate. This administration, like the UN and their illogical support of Climate Change, has a political agenda that is now recognized for what it is.
It makes you wonder what the results would show from a survey in…say January.
