“We have observed changes in the body mass of individual marmots over the past 33 years and changes in their population size over the last decade, but we do not know what might happen in the future. Will populations thrive in the changing climate? We suspect that this population increase is a short-term response to the lengthening summers. We hope that by continuing this long-term study we will shed important light on the marmots’ future response to climate change,” added Dr Ozgul.”
Anybody out there going to give this man his funding extension?

Oh, it is indeed funny. But you know what would make that even funnier? If instead of a bearded man it was a child – preferably a very young, innocent-looking child – saying “I still don’t get this AGW thing.” Now that would be hilarious. [/sarc]

Comedy Gold for Josh to get his teeth into…………..
I hope he is watching…
The 10 10 team… say they like a joke……
Well I have struck comedy GOLD.
Take a look at their OWN job descriptions in their OWN words post – Splattergate’
I hope they all appreciate the wonderful unintentional humour now……
The 10 10 Campaign, lost their own details from the 10 10 website a few days ago, lest their young supporters could complain to the leaders about 10:10 letting them down, or us mere plebs find out who they are, and write them sarcastic emails, about them all being ‘luvvies’ and trustafarians….
(Ok so they just pulled all their own bios, they were previously proud of this work)
Don’t get angry, just half a laugh at their own prentiousness, in their self penned job descriptions in light of recent events…
! ! No Pressure !! , of course, they surely must see how this is funny now, after the biggest pr disater for years, especially the PR guys….

Rather ironic, Black Adder is on TV, in Australia, right now (A huge preference to the “Commonwealth Games”). No Monty bent there though.
Today, I did a search on a popular New Zealand news website, stuff.co.nz, and nowhere on the main page did I find any articles on climate change etc. Well, I guess they have their ETS, so the “climate change” issue has been fixed. Conversely, here in Aus, we are bombarded with rediculous articles daily.
Seems the Australian MSN has not realised yet that Al Gore, invented that interweby thing. Mind you, there are some in Australia who think Tim Barners-Lee invented the “internet”. *sigh*

this the same guy….?
http://www.betterworldcampaign.org/about/staff/
Peter Yeo, Executive Director
Peter Yeo joined the Better World Campaign as Executive Director in February 2009 with over twenty years of legislative, analytical, and management experience, including senior roles on Capitol Hill and in the State Department. Prior to directing the activities of BWC, Peter served for ten years as the Deputy Staff Director at the House Foreign Affairs Committee chaired by Rep. Tom Lantos (D-CA) and Rep. Howard Berman (D-CA).
He has worked on a broad range of foreign policy and foreign aid issues. He led the successful negotiations for the landmark HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria Act of 2003, commonly known as PEPFAR, as well as the successful $50 billion reauthorization of the law in 2008. He also shepherded into law several measures dealing with China, Tibet, Burma, and East Timor.
Prior to his work with the Committee, he served as a Deputy Assistant Secretary at the U.S. State Department during the second Clinton Administration, where he led the negotiations around repayment of the U.S. arrears to the United Nations
AND WAS PART OF THE US DELEGATION TO CLIMATE NEGOTIATIONS IN KYOTO

Anyone know, it it is the same peter yeao above, Director 10:10 Trust, who was part of the Clnton Administration, and was at the negotiations in Kyoto…

After looking at 1010 pics and bios, I have this to say: Wisdom is often wasted on the youth. These people need to get married, have kids, get real jobs that suck, lose real jobs, fight with their spouse, have their kids think they are stupid, live through a few years of a freezing cold dry spell, feel the aches and pains of growing older, stop using night cream because it bloody hell doesn’t work, and get lonely. Then, they just might have something to say that is worth listening to.

Franny: “I’ve been a vegetarian for 26 years!”
Interviewer:”You don’t say! You seem so normal?!?”
When a 38-year-old is on a “young and creative” team you know there’s climate science nearby…

Barry:-
Best laugh this week. Even the bloody links still work from the page with “Access Denied”.
The web designer must be very amateurish, a bit like the quality of the site itself, juvenile.
Pamela has ’em bang to rights – no wisdom, that which comes from age with a lot of work, worry and a little pain. They all look like a bunch of twits, and Sony gave these people money. Yee Gods whatever next!

I do love a laugh the same as the next guy – and here in the UK we have an AGW fanatic called Jo Abbess who came to fame for boasting that she had managed to change a BBC report that was not pro man made AGW. To her credit she does not tend to remove critical posts but i do wonder if she will allow my latest.
She posts a nice picture of a young baby girl with a story line along the same old same old “But what about the children” emotional blackmail.
And i could not resist making the only comment so far (currently “awaiting moderation”):-
………………………………………
From Fanny 10:10
Jo – please ensure you brainwash this lovely child to believe the same as we all do. Sadly it seems that todays kids are prone to want to make their own mind up and we can not have that can we :0)
So, “No Pressure” – but if you fail in your mission, be warned we have the red buttons and are psycho enough to blow the poor little sod to kingdom come so that no independent thought can pass through her mind after we send various pulverised parts of her body through it.
God bless!
And remember – No Pressure!
……………………………………………
Childish? Yes
Am I proud of myself? Not really
Am I glad I did it? You Bet!
Do I think it will remain? – Not sure.
