UPDATE: Yesterday we had the ludicrous warmist claim that skeptics are funded by ‘dark money’, “up to 1 billion dollars worth” as pitched by Guardian slime-ette Suzanne Goldenberg (which had to be fixed later) but in this pitch, donations to Al Gore are matched by an ‘anonymous’ donor.
The hypocrisy of these people is breathtaking.
The term “Useful Idiots” comes to mind as the perfect people being asked to donate.
Believing the hockey stick graph of Gore’s film inconvenient truth rather than actually being aware of the paleo climate facts about the meaningless minor uptick in temps as but a pause as we continue our inevitable end to this current interglacial, they will happily fund out of a sense of guilt or even panic to save our planet to support a cause that further enriches the source of the email as his hooks to investment firms that fund green ventures in crony capitalism are public knowledge.

I went onto the Climate Reality website for the first time, it is like looking at an insidious and malignant form of Jehovah’s Witness, with the twin missions of seeking converts and extracting donations.
As most of us are sceptics, you might like to know what you are in the eyes of Gore’s Climate Reality – these Climate Reality people really are bad dudes to publicly spew out this unadulterated BS. After all, there are some people out there, who are gullible enough to believe it.
But what is the sceptic’s motive to be a sceptic? It certainly is not money, as is the case for most alarmists, The answer it is the truth and trying to avoid self-inflicted economic Armageddon.
Bloody Mess’s piece is another bit of patent evidence that in the mind of the political left, there is no such thing as “true or false” and no such thing as “right or wrong”. There is only the ideology, and nothing else exists, let alone ought to be heard. He and his deluded followers will insist that the globe is continuing to warm at an alarming rate even when the present cooling trend deepens, as expected by rational scientists who have not forsaken their integrity, to the point of the Little Ice Age – or maybe even the next Big Ice Age.

You are missing the point…. You have to first understand that to him and his “kind,” alternative energy systems CAN power the world of the, say, 700 million or so humans that they believe have a right to serve the noble Gore and friends. With a 10% population, alternatives would be just fine, as will be the narrow strip of land that will avoid being buried by the possible ice age that is luming on the horizon. He is not as stupid as people think since he is gaming the world so as to allow “Mother Nature” to do the depopulating.

I have often wondered if that was the actual mission, especially since the CIA investigated the “Looming Ice Age” way back in the 1970’s when Maurice Strong and the UN started the ball rolling on CAGW.
The CIA and Club of Rome back then were also worried about the ‘Population Explosion and the Eugenics movement was still alive and well. Now factor in Max Planck’s assertion that science advances one funeral at a time. The same can be said about political ideology that has even more of a tendency to become cast in concrete.

I think it is safe to say that it won’t be Al’s dollars that match the contributions. He likes his greenbacks too much to waste them on greenie nonsense. He’d rather have another mansion.
Since he consider’s himself a PROPHET…can we get him to visit Jerusalem? I understand some noted historical figure made some comment about what happens to PROPHETS in Jerusalem. It would be an interesting test to see if it is still true.
If Hitler were reincarnated and brainwashing for this particular cause, his strategy would not be much different than that of the alarmists/warmists.
The convincing sounding propaganda is there. The education system from first grade through college is now teaching global warming/climate change religion.
Many of our young people have been fully indoctrinated into the movement and are hypnotized in a way. Their minds are incapable of seeing the truth as everything is interpreted under the assumptions conditioned into them by the brainwash/hypnosis.
This is no exaggeration. I am chess coach at 4 schools(and have a grandchild in 2nd grade) and know what they teach in science class. Same thing at the college level in courses like environmental science.
The books, teachers, instructors/professors are just conduits being used to transfer the belief system into young people in a way that gets stored as knowledge in their brains.
They hear things we say and it registers in their brains like somebody stating the sun revolves around the earth.
As long as empirical data of key measures on our planet continue to show a booming biosphere, explosive vegetative health, increasing world food production and stalled warming that was probably beneficial when was happening, then the truth that the clinically psychopathic Al Gore speaks of will cause history to look back at him as one of the most diabolical leaders of this generation.
The USA was only a few ‘hanging chads’ away from having Al Gore as its President.
I reckon Stephen King should write a novel about that.

My respect for Al Gore is actually going up. At first I thought he was a deranged religious zealot but now I realise he is just an effective conman dispassionately doing his 9-5 workaday job.

I reckon fossil fuels must be looking pretty good to people right now. It’s becoming more obvious that mining and drilling are much smaller and far cleaner operations than anything the “sustainable” crowd can come up with.
I’m beginning to think of all academia as being the scourge of civilization. Yes, I realize that is probably not fair, but it all seems very left-leaning and hateful of human endeavour. Haven’t they occupied their seat-of-power for long enough? Isn’t it time to scrape them off and give Engineers their place? Say, for the next 500 years? At least we’ll get ideas that won’t fall down.

I am afraid I have to agree. Our Grand parents did quite nicely with a grammar school or high school education. Of course that was a classical education which is now only seen in private schools.
Is it any wonder that a snake oil salesman like Al Gore gets away with his lies? The voters are brain washed or brain dead. Remember 50% of voters have an I.Q below 100 and the NGOs make sure they get them to vote, (along with the occupants of the local cemetery of course.)
