Thank you moderators and contributors.
Left to right
Charles Rotter, Alec Rawls, Dr. Ryan Maue, Tom Fuller, Dave Stealey, myself, Steven Mosher, Dr. Leif Svalgaard, and Willis Eschenbach.
To those who could not attend, my sincere thanks for holding down the fort.

I would gladly buy the next round!
Cheers to you all for the great work you do!
Let me know when the IPO is ready 🙂
Thank you all for the best science site in the world.
Very…umm…honest group portrait. The contemporary scientist-look. No one could mistake you gentlemen for, let’s say, fashion designers 🙂
Ahe-hmm, and that’s what a team of climate skeptics look like these days?
No Armani suits as far as the eye can be pooked?!? Funded by big oil, pfft, my a55. :-()
So Dr. Svalgaard is Santa Clause. I knew it!!!!!!!!!!!
BTW, Charles doesn’t look anything like a moderator. He looks more like an enforcer.
Bah! The picture was obviously taken during Earth Hour. Hypocrites!
😀
Now that’s what I call a proper bonding exercise. None of that corporate hogwash where people have to hang on ropes held by their rivals or get down on all fours and pretend to be a dog (not that the latter is out of the question at the end of a long dinner. But it’s not compulsory).
So, what was the wine? It looked like a shiraz or cab sav from the colour. If the Big Oil cheque ever stops bouncing, come to Australia and we will treat you to magnificent food and superlative red wine. Not only that, we have Jo Nova, who makes up for at least 10 blokes in the gender balance!
So has anyone ever seen Bill Gates and Willis Eschenbach in the same place at the same time?
😉
P.S. I loved Leif Svalgaard in Kill Bill Vol. 2 as Pai Mei.
You are a truly amazing bunch of guys. Together you have changed the world for the better!
I wish you all the very best with your endeavours, and I look forward to the day you are recognized for your contribution to science.
Volunteers . . . all. Intellectuals of independence.
You trod the the path less taken. {thnx R. Frost}.
John
Well – that is a real Rogues Gallery!
If ever a group had earned the right to a ‘do’, it is this fabulous bunch! Well done all of you – hope those batteries are recharged and ready for the next onslaught!
Where would we be without you.
Cheers!
Thankyou all who make WUWT happen.
Anthony,
A belated thank you for the blog plug (I’ve been travelling). I hope you all had a wonderful evening and I hope to get to meet the rest of the team sometime.
Someone did good work on the seating chart to get the beefy Viking between Mosh and Willis.

Not true at all, Mosh and I are good friends. We disagree on some things and I’m sure I drive him as crazy as he does me, and we’re friends.
Go figure.

A BIG thanks to Anthony and The Mods! (Doo-wop, doo-wa–a-a-h…)
Good line HR, with the phrase from the bridge of In the Still of the Night?

(See, us oldies still have memory – as does DavidA who remembered Willis’ hitchhiking story. 🙂
As for recruiting fems, speaking of RockNRoll (which doo-wop is a type of), Bill Medley recruited his daughter to do the high notes in place of Bobby Hatfield, who died a few years ago. (The Righteous Brothers duo.)
(Perhaps not as many females participating in blogs on the Internet, though some run climate blogs (including Donna and Jo?).)
