Give this lady an Order of Australia medal

The death spiral of PM Julia Gillard and the Labor Party in Australia continues, and it has been pretty much a sealed fate thanks to one nameless woman in gift shop where Gillard got cornered, and this lady stood up to not only Gillard, but a member of Parliament. According to Andrew Bolt at the Herald Sun, this video has been been getting wide circulation on TV networks, or as he says “…every TV bulletin ran this”.

Watch this lady take down the whole Gillard carbon tax scheme in just a few minutes. I love the way she shuts down the assistant Graeme Perrett, Member of Parliament. Video follows:

And it gets worse. Bolt writes on his blog:

The public has spoken and it’s over

Julia Gillard kept her cool admirably at the people’s forum in Brisbane last night, yet the whole thing was a disaster for her. No Labor MP watching could conclude that the party has a hope under a woman so distrusted.

Peter Kerr in West Oz, seems likely that a lot of that compo will have its value eaten away by inflation (see here – http://blog.libertarian.org.au/2011/07/10/carbon-tax-compensation/). If that’s at all accurate I reckon the compo isn’t to compensate people for higher costs then but to make sell the idea now by making them think they’ll be compensated, and then for Jules to cross her fingers and hope like hell nobody calls her on it come election time.

More than once I’ve asked the Prime Minister, Julia Gillard, and the Minister for Minister for Climate Change and Energy Efficiency, Greg Combet, to explain what they mean by the phrase, “carbon pollution”? Neither has deigned to answer. I suspect that they are both scientific ignoramuses and wouldn’t have a clue about the difference between carbon and CO2.

It’s easy to tell when a major politician is lying.
You can see their lips moving…

In all this I have not yet heard the Abbott stating that he will perform the simple expedient of repealing the carbon tax when he gets in.
Simples surely?
I’m just asking.

At 0:39 she says “. . . put a price on carbon pollution – polluters gonna pay.” Pollution BS aside and to the economics of “making the polluters pay,” she’s either very cynical or very stupid; but no one could be that stupid.
Could they?

If I recall George H. W. lost his bid for reelection when he uttered:
“Read my lips, no new taxes”
He was gone next election.

She talks abouther values “I’m Labour, my family was Labour I grew up with values of hard work, politeness and thrift all the sort of things that are not fashionable nowadays”. Notice there is not a mention of honesty! I wonder why? Is it her Labour background?
PS. I know the above is in quotes and it isn,t exactly verbatim but essentially it is what she said – it,s difficult to retype everything from a video.

She talks volumes about which she knows nothing.
I am afraid those rebuilding in Brisbane on the flood plane will be flooded out again. It has happened many times before so instead of blabbing on about carbon pollution she should be ensuring that rebuilding is on higher ground not as now.
She will cost Australia dear with no change of natural events.

We can get by with lying politicians in Australia as it is par for the course. Except before an election when a lie by the Prime Minister changes the result of the election. This is a no no and all thinking people are pee’d off. If this lying b–ch had said she was going to introduce a carbon dioxide tax she would have gotten a maximum 27% of the vote, some what less than needed to form a government. The left in Australia are always devious but even to left voters this lie has changed some 20% of them into conservatives. Calling this tax a pollution tax on carbon is another fabrication that is spreading through the lower echelons of society as BS. That is why this mature women stood firm and called BS on Ju-liar. We have our Juliar the ranga bogon of government house. Ranga Australian slang for a red head {orangatang} a red haired primate. Bogan is harder to explain using American english , Some one with no ethics or social graces and a look at me I’m so clever attitude {But is thick as two planks} is close in American terminology.

Tallbloke, brilliant
Here in France, Sarkozy changed his mind and abbated the tax until the rest of europe are paying it. In the UK, the average QI of 1 doesn’t help at all. With 4million readers of their Sun newspaper (Murdocks rubbish), their leaders know that they can do what they like. Vue Brown, Blair, Osborne and Cameron. Complete and utter incompetents.

This is part of the overall UN scheme of things and carbon taxes in the major economies have to brought and harmonised to give the UN funding for transfer to developing countries. The same price has been set in the UK and is the price sought by the UN High Level Climate Finance Advisory Panel, which has as members people such as George Soros, carbon trader Lord Stern, UK carbon tax economy destroyer Chris Huhne, the new IMF head, Christine Lagarde. Agnostic 12.29 am:
Thank you for putting in your father’s letter again. I missed it before. He has made a very good and sober response to dear Julia. I still can’t believe that ‘Altona Woman’ became PM; I suppose that’s because Greenies supported her and Independants ratted on their constituents.

“When you start telling the truth I’ll listen to you!”
Priceless…..
Maybe they should have that on T-shirts. Even better still “When you start telling the truth I’ll vote for you!”
Here in the UK we are looking at having the power of recall, ie re-election, if a politician promises in a manifesto one thing and then does the opposite in power. I guess it will be a cold day in hell when that becomes law!

Who presents the Order of Austrialia? Don’t know if I’d want one if this woman does the presenting.
Rest assured, the Prime Minister has no say in who gets them, and does not present them (unless they are honorary ones to foreign citizens that she decides she’s like to present while overseas in the right place at the right time). There is nothing to stop someone nominating that gutsy lady for an award in the Order of Australia for what she did in that shopping mall on that day, but … in the greater scheme of things it’d be pretty unlikely to be adjudged worthy, even with the independent council appointed to judge these things. Let the court of public opinion see the worth of her contribution and be done, I say.

That lady calling the Aussie PM a liar reminds me of this other old lady, Gillian Duffy, who asked an inconvenient question and was maligned, on air, by the UK PM, Gordon Brown as a bigot:

Politicians everywhere, here’s my advice: beware of old ladies!
We’re not the sweet, knitting little grannies who can be patted – we’re not afraid of asking the inconvenient questions you don’t want to answer.

It’s pathetic really that the PM of Oz and the People’s Democratic Party High Commissar in the USSA need they’re own KGB and Gestopo to put their Party Platforms over on the Voters. Whatever happened to chrisma, integrity, common sense, and all that rot? I guess we should be happy that at least the Chinese are being honest with everyone about their intentions for the future of the planet. Right? I mean Left?

After watching the clips of this politician Julia, you can tell she’s an expert in obfuscation and factual inexactitudes. Her logic is as pretzelesque as it comes.

Ms Gillard starts out by diverting attention onto a bogus issue labeled “carbon pollution” and how they are going to reduce it but the gas is not a pollutant until it reaches levels over 10X to-day’s values. From reading the Govt’s literature her objective seems to be to introduce some international taxation scheme agreed upon behind closed doors at Copenhagen and Cancun and this has nothing to do with the weather.
All those well-meaning conservationists have been hijacked to do the UN’s dirty work.

>>An Austrian atheist has won the right to be shown on his driving-licence photo
>>wearing a pasta strainer as “religious headgear”.
The point he is making is quite valid.
I am not allowed to wear a hat on a driving licence, even though I always wear a hat. But someone who has arrived in the country 5 minutes ago, is allowed to wear a hat. That, my friend, is discrimination, and it should be stopped immediately.

I don’t think any small reduction in carbon fuel usage in Australia will offset the upcoming burning of coal in German power plants. 🙂
