Antarctic related warming

Josh at cartoonsbyjosh.com writes: This story exploded on the blogs yesterday, 7th Feb 2011, at Climate Audit, BishopHill, WUWT, The Blackboard and elsewhere.

Can I summarise it? Well I will try… but in cartoons. So more to come:

Josh has a way of piercing the pretentiousness of The Team which is always hugely amusing, but never nasty.

For why is he sitting on a (warm, wooden) crate?
(Should be either a bucket on a cold block of ice…. (Or a white enameled toilet bowl) to take a data dump.

I have evidence that Real Climate has deleted blog entries that clearly indicate Eric Steig is a liar and that Real Climate are basically fulfilling the role of Winston Smith in George Orwell’s .
If anyone from WUWT here is interested, please get in touch with me and I will forward you the screen shots and supporting material.

King Crabs Invade Antarctic Waters
A warmer Antarctica makes a hospitable home for these crabs, endangering an entire ecosystem that has no defenses against them.
McMURDO STATION, Antarctica — Warming waters along the Antarctic peninsula have opened the door to shell-crushing king crabs that threaten a unique ecosystem on the seafloor, according to new research by a U.S.-Sweden team of marine researchers.
On a two-month voyage of the Swedish icebreaker Oden and U.S. research vessel Nathaniel B. Palmer, marine biologists collected digital images of hundreds of crabs moving closer to the shallow coastal waters that have been protected from predators with pincers for more than 40 million years.

Apparently these crabs are confused. I suspect they have been reading the wrong blogs and have been taken in by warmist propaganda. If they had been reading WUWT they would know that they could not survive in Antarctica’s waters.
