Friday Funny – Congressional Frosh

Elmer Beauregard of Minnesotans for Global Warming writes in with today’s funny: M4GW’s Newest Song – I’m a Denier

He writes:

It’s a parody of “I’m a Believer” written by Neil Diamond and performed by the Monkees. This version was written by Elmer Beauregard and Brian D. Smith and performed by Elmer and the M4GW players.

This song is in honor of all the new Republican Freshman entering Congress and the Senate most of whom are Deniers and proud of it.

I think this is song may be our “Tour de Farce”

Well at least he didn’t choose Manfred Mann’s “Blinded by the light”. Watch below.

Michael Mann is playing drums for a Climate Denier band?
Wow, we win?
(I know it can’t be him, but it does look like him. . . )
“Climate Denier” as the new “Yankee Doodle Dandy”?

The landscape behind the band is classic midwestern glacial terrain formed by the deposition of rocky debris picked up during glacial advance and then dropped as the great continental glaciers melted and retreated. Without climate cooling to let the ice sheets form, and then climate warming to cause the glacial melt such landscapes wouldn’t exist. Wait a minute, that must mean that in the past, natural causes must have the climate changing. We know from AGW that must be impossible. LOL

I think that could be their best! I like the original song anyway. What’s up with that chicken? Nice outfit. Probably helps with those cold November nights in Minnesota, home of the lovely and talented Michele Bachmann. Go M4GW!

Love it, another hit from the funniest bunch of deniers! I really liked their benny hill type ending! Keepem coming with more!

Brilliant. Great lyrics and well performed.
Once we start laughing at ‘them’ the battle is more than half one.
Laughing at old Adolf and his team cheered everyone up during WW2.

Chicken Little. I agree that this should be our theme song from now on.

Layne, I think the bird is Chicken Licken.
Great band, great track, but I think they should have put out a call here for a girlie chorus.

Climate is complex, and so are we
We all have many facets
But the rough divide about Alarm
Splits us in two segments.
One of these is not much fun
It wants to scare the kids
The other is more cheerful
And produces the best vids
It is the best for humour
For writing and cartoons
As it grapples with the miseries
Foretelling glooms and dooms.
So with the Friday Funny
May it give a little cheer
Tho’ but for that other side
We’d be somewhere else, not here.

Incriminating photos of Dr. Mann with naked tree rings.
They were quite revealing, and disturbing. Some looked like they were having a tree-ring circus.

Excellent. I’ve just sent it over to unReal Climate.

A friend of mine from Minnesota sent it to me today – a good laugh – especially Mr Mann lookalike on drums!

November 5, 2010 12:12 pm

Our drummer just happens to look like that, what can I say.
Thanks for posting it Anthony!

Cool song … Mann on drums? Why not, he needs the money.

Happy Days
This could make it to No 1 in the UK charts. A big round of applause from Staffordshire, England. Thank you M4GW for making my day.

Moraine or esker?
One thing that we can’t deny is that the warmistas provide us with easy pickin’s. It will take the start of glaciers in the heart of the continent to get them off their [CO2] greenhouse gas induced paranoia. Unfortuately, it may come to that, the way that the temperature record has been Hansenized to show warming no matter what.
In the meantime, I have another reason to like the Republicans. ☺

It appears nearly everyone has come away with the same impression…who knew Michael Mann could play drums?
This is even funnier than “Hide the Decline” which was purged from YouTube because Mann got his knickers all in a twist.
