Steve McIntyre is too modest to ask for any help on this, so I’ll do it for him.
While some of his countrymen have told me they would like to give him the Order of Canada, and that may well happen someday, this is a much simpler request.
There’s an award contest for Canadian bloggers only, called the Canadian Blog Awards 2010, and Climate Audit is one of the contenders for Best Science and Technology Blog 2010
All you have to do is visit either of the two links above and vote. – Anthony
Update – it appears we may have posted this towards the end of the poll window, it now says “closed”. OTOH, the main page says “round 1” so perhaps there will be another opportunity. – Anthony
love to see the rats following the pied piper.
McI has done nothing to advance the science of climateology.
All he has done is to create FUD which is what the Marshall Institute and the Koch bros wanted him to do.
So for that I say well done.
His acceptance speech should read as follows,
” I’d like to thank Michael Mann and the CRU team, as well as Jim Hansen and his team, for without them, this never would of been possible. Thanks for making it so easy to debunk your junk science.”
I know the great Mcintyre is way too modest for something like that, but it’s a nice thought. 😉

As opposed to your amoral masters who have put science back to the Stone Ages with their corruption, junk science, and stiffling any debate?
Did you ask them how to post that statement, as you can’t think for yourself?
I can think of another acronym that suits you, but I’m not going to say it.
Darn it all! I’ve had a heck of a busy day and log on too late to vote. But may the best man (i.e. Steve McIntyre) win – not that he’d probably care about such stuff that much!
If the Canadian Blog Awards are being run the same way as in previous years, it’s best to ignore them. No awards system that refuses to display the votes cast should be trusted.
done…..no prob

harvey,
Pretty clever. Clearly, you are the comedy writer at SNL or the comedy guy that writes Gores /Pachuri’s AGW jokes. Right?

I asked one of my masters for advice on how to respond (he’s up in the sky there) and he says to tell you LOVE is the answer. Matthew 5:38-42
It looks like the polls are closed. I guess we overwhelmed them! lol!
The results are up … and I opened the polls so people can see the results, mostly because of Kate McMillan’s rude suggestion that I’d cheat.
pyromancer: “Yes, McIntrye for the Order of Canada and thanks, Anthony, for your generosity to a most deserving colleague. I would like to see Steve McIntrye nominated for a Nobel if it weren’t such a politically damaged award. His unique ability to investigate the innards of AGW — to know where to look, how to ask for the necessary (and cooked) data, and to inquire precisely into the mathematics and computer-modeling — continues to be a gift to freedom-and science-loving people everywhere. I have voted with great pleasure.”
I’m sorry to report, pyro, that the OOC is also politically damaged, since the awarding of the medal to Morgentaler. A number of prior OOC recipients have turned in their medals after that happened. Sad, but most “public service honours” of recent years have been co-opted for political agendas as propaganda tools.
I must say that I do like DavidM’s suggestion:
