Friday Funny Bonus: Surreal Climate #3

Josh of Cartoons by Josh writes: Another in the Surreal Climate series – in response the WUWT story about the EPA rejecting CO2 petitions

I think we all know what the decent thing to do would be…

A couple of weeks ago I started a new series called ‘Fantasy Climate’ where anything goes really – even the title apparently!

So the next week I called it ‘Surreal Climate’ – H/t Tallbloke – rather a nice allusion to another blog.

Does this mean I don’t have to go to work next week?

This is a scream. Lisa mouths the magic words, unaware of their meaning, and disappears. This is also a prophecy. As soon as the American people become aware of the words that Lisa has mouthed so far, she and her rationale will disappear from the political stage. For Lisa to say that she has found, on the basis of good science, that CO2 is harmful to human health is very much like George Wallace who once said that, on the basis of good social science, racial integration is harmful to human health. It is very much like the French High Command saying that, on the basis of good military strategy, the Nazi army did not have a chance of invading France. It is very much like Tinkerbell saying “Everyone believes in me.”

Someone needs to come up with a toxic chemical that is abbreviated as “EPA” and then push for the EPA to ban it. Then write up a paper about how it disproves voodoo…. or the grandfather paradox.

I wonder if the IPCC will ban itself….hmmmm.

There are other climate blogs?

There are other climate blogs?
In reality here are indeed other blogs.
But if you homogenise the hit count…no…no there aren’t

Thanks for the props Josh, and thanks for another great cartoon.
How about one with ‘DJ’ Michael Mann spinning a couple of discs (tree ring slices). Out of his headphones you can hear “Whispering grass, the trees don’t need to know” or “Hot in the city tonight” or maybe the WUWT massive can come up with a few more.

Earlier in my career I was working with sales and marketing of marine omega-3 oils, of which Eicosapentaenoic Acid (EPA) is one of the essentials. I am very disturbed to hear that EPA now has been banned in the US. What is this Jackson woman up to this time, first she exposes herself and now this! You may be interested to read that patients with cognitive defects often have less EPA and DHA (Docosahexaenoic Acid) in their brains and blood than normal people. May there be a correlation hidden somewhere?

Jan, is that the one that is good for dyslexics?
Tallbloke, Andrew, nice ideas…maybe the other blogs are just red noise.

How about erithropoetin additive, EPA, an illegal, poisonous, performance enhancing substance that provides more oxygen to the body and allows better respiration of CO2.

The way you’re stepping on toes, I think you might want to draw faster. I’m sure they have a file on you by now. Be careful.

On the Spin idea: Mann spinning tree ring slices at the end of a stick that’s balanced on his forehead, like they do in those circus acts, with a big pile of rings on one of his sides labeled “Don’t Spin Right” and a much smaller pile (maybe 4 or 5 rings) on his other side labeled “Spin right”…… The cartoon titled: “Tree Ring Selection Criteria”

Shouldn’t we start by requiring that no one at EPA expel CO2?

Well RealClimate doesn’t use Google or Alexa to know how well they are doing, instead they turn to Drs Mann and Briffa for there Proxy hit count data. It seems they discovered this one tree in Russia that they believe corresponds to their hit count over time via teleconnections.

claiming “several million degrees” at “2 kilometers or so down”. AlGore
This is a source for the EPA. Remember the “science is in”
Sex poodle is free to roam the streets again.
I suspect Lisa Jackson shuts out people that don’t tell her what she wants to hear.
Stick with your intuition Lisa.

Could be a nice cartoon. MM in his lab sorting out tree-discs. Big piles in sections labelled censored, uncooperative or similar. Smaller pile labelled as so-so and one solitary disk. with Yamal scratched on it, having the label IPCC

I couldn’t help but notice that the add you linked to was for Occidental Petroleum. Isn’t that one of Al Gore’s companies? In fact is that not the company that made his father wealthy? The irony is delicious.
