Hump day humor

Josh from www.cartoonsbyjosh.com writes:

There is a fun story over at Lucia’s about a Crack Journalist asking some, it seems to me, slightly unbalanced questions of Judy Curry.

This interpretation of ‘Crack’ came to mind.:

And after getting a giggle from the cracked journalism, go to Judith Curry’s blog and read this:

Reversing the direction of the positive feedback loop

Update: Keith Kloor at Collide-a-scape has the dibs on getting this started and has quite a discussion going on it.

I think she has an odd naming convention that is referenced, Lucia-The Blackboard-Rankexploits.
Choose one name and stick with it. :-()

Judith Curry’s new commentary on the IPCC process is very good and contains just that little extra explanatory power which makes it more understandable how this science has developed over time/gone wrong.

OT But I see a massive decline in climate as an interesting theme as of this year due to boredom, nothing is actually changing and people are beginning to realizing it. Its becoming as interesting as measuring your normal respiratory rate. Beware both warmist and skeptic/denier sites LOL

Sadly, the politburoPoliticians don’t see it that way. They’re determined to carry on as if nothing has happened.

Very nice analysis by Dr. Curry. Her commentary gives a nice summary of how the IPCC operated. She offers valuable insights into how scientists in the inner circle of the IPCC engaged in culpable activities, while most scientists who were merely contributing were acting in good faith. She offers a very different perspective from her rather condescending attempts to engage WUWT readers last winter – love the nuanced analysis and change in tone. She is one brave lady (and a true scientist)!
Anthony, your approach to to the CAGW discussion, by encouraging participation from all points of views, is paying enormous dividends. Well done!

When I first saw the source watch e-mail and questions, I thought it was a joke. Guess it really is a joke, but not on Dr. Curry. Love her site!

Well I can make neither head nor tail of it. There is a long comment thread at Lucia and so on, even a comment at NC watch and the like. Maybe Y lack a sense of humour but it just seems asinine and rather sad to me.
Kindest Regards

Anna Haynes, who has been the primary (practically sole) contributor to the Source Watch page for Judith Curry, says this —

“While Curry herself is not a climate change doubter, she has urged that climate scientists listen to doubters’ criticisms”

Obviously this isn’t ‘fair and balanced’. The term climate change doubter means something entirely different than the term climate change skeptic.

My apologies to Dr. Curry for the invasion of her privacy; which is something I intend to continue to respect.
If anything good came from (or at least after) this, it’s the post by Gavin at RealClimate on Science, narrative and heresy.
Anthony, I’m still waiting for the letter you said you were sending.
And please don’t forget to provide a link to Dr. Curry’s SourceWatch page. (Substantive feedback on it would be helpful too; and yes, I see that MikeEE doesn’t like “doubter”. )
Thanks to Josh for the cartoon – that’s a keeper.
🙂
(apologies if this comment’s a near-duplicate; it isn’t appearing, & doesn’t say it’s stuck in moderation)
