It’s BACK! The 16th International Conference on Climate Change

The only climate conference dedicated to the examination of data rather than the propagation of dogma is back! Yours truly (Anthony) will be there as a Keynote Speaker, plus, given how close the venue is to the White House, President Trump has been invited.

The 16th International Conference on Climate Change, organized by The Heartland Institute, will be held April 8-9, 2026 at the Hotel Washington in Washington, DC. It will feature the world’s leading scientists, energy experts, and those making policy in the second Trump administration.

Although the program is still coming together, Heartland is planning six plenary sessions and 14 panel presentations – with two concurrent tracks – featuring some 40 speakers.

Space for attendees is limited, so GET YOUR TICKETS TODAY! This special “early bird” rate ends on January 31.

Is this already a closed event with all the speakers already pre-selected, if not, where do you apply?

What a feather in your collective cap…if the President paid a visit…Good Luck..!

“It’s BACK! The 16th International Conference on Climate Change”
If most of the change is natural variability- then, in a sense, the climate isn’t changing- only varying. So maybe the title of the event should be “The 16th International Conference on natural Climate variability”.

I agree, when you see “Climate Change” in the title there is a tendency to yawn and keep scrolling until you find some good memes or satire…. Fortunately I knew it was from this site.

People do have an impact on climate. Limiting the conferences to natural change/variability is a non-starter. Limiting the conferences to only anthropogenic effects is too. We need to study and learn about both.

Personally, I like to say that the climate has been changing ever since the Earth developed an atmosphere.

It wouldn’t have to be limited to natural change- but since that’s more likely, it ought to be in the title- then, for a laugh, some discussion can be had about climate “change”. 🙂

I was about to post, “since the planet formed” then paused with the realization that most definitions of climate require an atmosphere.

Atmosphere?
We doan need no stinkin’ atmosphere!

Greenhouse gases are all that matter.
Apparently.

If you have greenhouse gases, you have an atmosphere. Other gases are very important to transfer heat.

Or, perhaps it could be named, “The 16th International Conference on the fake Climate Change Emergency”. 🙂

Let me guess…

100,000 trees in the Amazon will not be felled to make a highway to the conference itself. Which isn’t a one-off venue.

Also, the plumbing won’t be this bad, I’m pretty certain – “UN demands no toilet paper in toilets! Urges delegates ‘not to flush toilet paper…in the toilets at the COP 30 venue …Please use the bins provided for disposal’” – Climate Depot

Getting back to that rewilded natural aroma… of the increasingly distant past. If windmills, why not other crap? On this occasion, they had to practice in part what they preach, but that wasn’t enough, what about those 100,000 Amazonian trees…

“Dozens of Indigenous protesters forced their way into the COP30 climate summit venue on Tuesday and clashed with security guards at the entrance to demand climate action and forest protection.

Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva has highlighted Indigenous communities as key players in this year’s COP30 negotiations.Clinton News Network

At last a dignified and serious conference.

Mikey would go, except he’s busy those 2 days, taping up his badly mangled hokey stick.

Anthony,

There is no such phenomena as climate change because most of the earth’s surfaces are uninhabited water, rocks, sand, soil, snow and ice. Activities of humans can have no effects on the vast Pacific, Atlantic and Indian oceans, the Andes, Alps and Rocky mountains, or the Sahara, Gobi and Mohave deserts. Activities of humans in cities can effect local climate change due to the UHI effect. In some countries, the stripping of the land of plants for food and animal feed has caused local desertification, a climate change.

To determine if there has been climate change in a region, one has to undertake extensive surveys of not only the terrestrial flora and fauna and but also of these organisms in the water and in the soil, and then compare the results to prior surveys of many years ago. It is likely no such surveys for the many climates of the earth are available.

You should go to Wikipedia and learn about the Köppen Climate Classification System. Wladimer Köppen (1846-1940) and his colleague Rudolf Geiger
(1894-1981) were metrologists and the original climate scientists.

You should mention the pioneering work of the late John L. Daly and his website:
“Still Waiting For Greenhouse” available at http://www.john-daly.com. From the home page, go to end and click on “Station Temperature Data”. The “World Map” is displayed. Click on region or country for a list of the stations. Clicking on a station displays a plot temperature data. Shown in chart (See below) is a plot of the average annual temperature in Adelaide from 1857 to 1999. No warming in Adelaide for 142 years.

Finally, you need to mention that there is so little CO2 in the air that it can not cause any warming of air. At the Mauna Loa Obs. in Hawaii, the concentration of CO2 in air is 426 ppmv. One cubic meter of this air has a mass of 1,290 g and a mere 0.83 g of CO2 at STP. This small amount of CO2 in air absorbs too little out-going long wavelength IR light to cause warming of air.

All the recent rhetoric about global warming and climate change is just so much nonsense. Even if there is global warming of few degrees, it is of little consequence because in many regions of the earth, there will always be long cold winters. A few days ago wind chill caused the temperature in the Yukon to plunge to -55° C.

NB: If you click on the chart, it will expand and become clear. Click on the “X” in the circle to contract the chart and return to comments.

What you described once was called micro climate, which had a 30 year basis so people moving to that region or locale had an idea of what weather to expect.

That which is commonly called “climate change” is global, and therefore bogus.

I might be tempted to attend this event. I’ve wanted to get back to DC. Haven’t been there since 1974- when I happened to be driving through after a trip to Dixie from Wokeachusetts- where, I happened to attend the Watergate Cover Up Trial. It was going on so we decided to crash it. 🙂

Will there be a live feed? Hopefully the content can reach a larger audience through X and YouTube? A majority are still ignorant about how fraudulent the preposterous climate crisis narrative is.

Probably not a live feed, but past talks are available at https://climateconferences.heartland.org/ – Many are very worthwhile watching.

This is good news. If you don’t do anything else at this meeting you have to come up with a program to educate the average guy, the rate payer, the tax payer you know the guy who is picking up the tab for the CAGW lie. This battle will not be won in the halls of academia or science or even government. It will finally end when the tax payer and rate payer are educated and say enough, we have been screwed enough.

I wonder how much publicity the habitually alarmist mainstream media will give the findings and revelations brought to light by this conference. If we are to examine their past records, anything that refutes the climate crisis narrative will be either downplayed, censored, or omitted entirely, but that’s to be expected when much of the media is funded by left-leaning governments and environmental groups anxious to suppress the facts.

I sent Email to Heartland asking about a group rate at the hotel. So far I haven’t heard back.
