LIVE AT 1PM EDT: Climate Lockdowns Are Coming Guest: Matthew Wielicki — TCRS #170

During COVID, power‑mad government officials around the globe shut down society to protect us from a contagious virus that killed a small percentage of those who got it. Restaurants, parks, and beaches were closed. Gatherings larger than what could fit in a phone booth were canceled. They even told us not to celebrate Thanksgiving with our loved ones for “the greater good.” Today, power‑grabbers in Canada are banning hikers from the woods in the Maritimes and imposing enormous fines on those who dare set foot in their own public forests.

Why? Because of the Canadian wildfires. And this kind of madness is just the beginning. Join The Heartland Institute’s Anthony Watts, Sterling Burnett, Linnea Lueken, and Jim Lakely — along with special guest Matthew Wielicki — to discuss the coming Climate Lockdowns.

We will also cover some of the crazy climate news of the week, including rap music being used to raise climate awareness among the illiterate in Pakistan, the continued blackballing of non‑alarmist climate scientists, and how the road to Hell is being paved with green intentions. Be there LIVE at 1 p.m. ET on YouTube. We’ll hit all these topics — and more — and answer your questions in the live chat.

Criminals were transported from Britain to Australia. Were compliants transported to Canada?

In the aftermath of the War of Independence, aka the American Revolution, the defeated British Army sailed back to England in 1781-1782.
The loyalist in the colonies either affirmed a new loyalty or were expelled.
Estimates are that a total of 60,000 white settlers left the new USA. The majority of them—about 33,000—went to Nova Scotia 14,000 of these to what would become New Brunswick, 6,600 went to Quebec (which at the time included modern-day Ontario), and 2,000 to Prince Edward Island.  Those who had slaves and wanted to keep them left for Florida, a Spanish held territory at the time.

So there are your conformists. The sheep who liked being controlled, expelled to New Brunswick and NovaScotia, in the 1780s.

Mark Twain’s character in “The American Claimant” proposes to buy Siberia from the Tzar, to establish an ideal republic. Tzars have been sending there all freedom loving people for centuries. What material for a republic!

The real reason they don’t want people hiking there is because there’s a secret UFO/alien/Bigfoot base in the woods that the Trudeus have been hiding for decades.

Bigfoot is really an alien?
I don’t buy that. If he was The “History” Channel would done a show on it by now.
(Maybe Bigfoot is one of those Ice Road Tow Truckers?)

Utter stupidity…can’t put it in other words. One can only hope a true shitstorm breaks loose over such idiotic measures. But while you’re at it, why not ban the sale lighters and matches?

Sarcastic question: can I still drive my EV through a forest road?

It may be legal, but I doubt it is physically possible.

Pretty difficult, I’d say… perhaps along a forest road.

In the past, say, before the year 2000, Canadians were used to paying a lot for government, and most felt they got pretty good value for it. They were mostly a happy and obedient and compliant lot. I think that’s deteriorated since the turn of the century, though.

But many Canadians are still quite compliant, if not sheeplike, when it comes to excessive government. Perhaps the sheep will now begin to wake up as they realize the shepherds don’t really have their best interests at heart…

Most sheep are unhappy while their wool is shorn.

It seems to be coming to a flock near you.

Somehow the word “fleeced” comes to mind.

For Matthew… 🙂

If you go down in the woods today
You’re sure of a big surprise
If you go down in the woods today
You better go in disguise….

If one is to do that sort of thing, it’s best done in the privacy of your home.
