Live at 1PM ET: Climate Realism Violates International Law? – The Climate Realism Show #166

The International Court of Justice at the United Nations this week ruled that failing to take poverty-creating “appropriate action to protect the climate system” — meaning ending the use of life-giving fossil fuels — could open nations to being hauled before a global tribunal to answer for their crimes. As a trio of climate attorneys wrote in The New York Times, “continuing fossil fuel production and use, let alone expanding it, violates the law.”

We’ll see about that. But this development is just the latest in a long line of legal actions trying to enforce climate communism, even as more and more countries reject it.

The Heartland Institute’s Anthony Watts, Sterling Burnett, Linnea Lueken, Jim Lakely, and our special guest Daren Bakst — director of the Center for Energy and Environment at the Competitive Enterprise Institute — will also cover some of the breaking and Crazy Climate News of the Week from around the world. Thanks to Trump, those gasoline cans everyone hates will no longer be mandatory. We now have only three years left to save the planet, apparently. And the legacy media has finally caught up with this program and is reporting that the unscientific “Endangerment Finding” for carbon dioxide is about to be repealed.

Join us LIVE at 1 p.m. ET on YouTube, Rumble, and X — and we’ll answer the questions you leave for our panel in the chat.

“Thanks to Trump, those gasoline cans everyone hates will no longer be mandatory.”

Not sure if that’s regarding the 5 gallon gas cans that I’ve bought in the past few years. You need 3 arms and 3 hands to use them. Really ticks me off.

In Kali at least the cans are infuriating. You end up spilling far more gasoline on yourself, the thing you are trying to fillup, and yourself, then is prevented from escaping as vapor. I’m certain it is totally known at CARB, but they never admit a mistake, and their goal is to eliminate everything that uses gas.

It is still possible to buy and have shipped to Kali replacement spout/cap kits. Considering CARB’s vigorous prosecution of rule offenders for car and motorcycle parts, I wonder if this is a tacit acknowledgement they screwed up.

BTW Joe, the way we get around the 5 gallon can is simply buying the white “water” can. Identical in every way except it’s not red. I have a couple from my dirtbike days. Useless now unless gasoline supply gets iffy and I need to keep some extra gas around

Oh, gotta look for the water can! For my new generator, people suggested getting real gas- so I went to the local, small airport where I could buy it- at about twice the cost.

I like the very sturdy “VP Racing Fuel” style, I think there is more than one make. We can’t even buy the red ones anymore because of the vent rule. The yellow ones are diesel.

Was that low level lead aviation gas?

Not sure- I just know it’s real gas without the additives. It was aviation gas right out of the pump used to fuel small planes.

We just get regular red cans down here in Oz..

.. a screw-on spout, no mechanism like is shown on those cans,

the bigger one I have, has a vent hole where you unscrew a little cap.

Exactly- and I have one I’ve used for years- but that one has gas with additives that I’ve used in my lawn mowers and snow blower. I have another for diesel that I used to burn brush piles (don’t do that anymore- just leave the brush piles to rot- good for wildlife). These new ones (I’ll use for real gas from the airport) really suck since I don’t have 3 arms and 3 hands.

I had the misfortune of having to buy one here once. After three minutes of farting around with it, I just smashed the spout off and put 4 gallons in my gas tank and a gallon on the street. Thank you little luvvies.

No nation will be taken to court simply because the ICJ knows discovery and a court case would probably expose and ruin their scam. Lawfare isn’t about winning, it’s all about giving the MSM fodder for propaganda.

I read the Guardian piece. Phew.

The Guardian claims unbiased journalism and is opposed to suppressing dissenting voices, but it is all in on promoting the voices of the narrative.

Haven’t these guys ever experienced winter? They should spend the winter in Winnipeg. Average temperature in Jan. ranges from -20° to -10° C.

Opinions are like a***holes.

Does that mean that the ICJ are just a bunch of a***holes. ?
