Left torching Teslas

From CFACT

By Craig Rucker

The Left is torching electric vehicles.

Can the news get any more bizarre?

That’s right, the same folks who scolded that the world will “burn” unless the government forces every one of us to buy an EV or stop driving, are now torching the world’s best EVs with Molotov cocktails.

“Wow, you guys like petty acts of domestic terrorism, huh?” asked bemused Daily Show host Jordan Klepper when his audience hooted, cheered and applauded a news clip reporting “multiple cases of possible arson targeting Teslas and cyber trucks.”

Could it be that the anti-America, anti-capitalist Left’s obsession with electric vehicles was never about saving the planet at all?

Tesla CEO Elon Musk, America’s top entrepreneur, brought us reusable rockets, internet for all, amazing A.I., robots that actually work, and much more.

Elon just rescued Butch and Suni, two astronauts who were stranded on the I.S.S. for over nine months.

EVs were nowhere until Elon showed the world they could be amazingly innovative and incredibly cool. Tesla EVs may very soon be fully self-driving.

Making EVs cool was a tall achievement considering that EVs suffer from short range, long charging times, heavy weight, prohibitive expense, batteries that burn uncontrollably and require scarce rare earths that are too often mined under appalling circumstances.

Despite those challenges, Elon’s Tesla is now mass producing electric vehicles that are solid choices for some.  They are not the best choice for all.  Elon’s cool with that.

You’d think the Left would be erecting monuments to the man who made their EV dreams come true.  Nothing could be further from the truth.

Protesters used a Tesla EV to carve “DON’T BUY A TESLA” onto a beach in Wales.  They included an image of a man extending his arm out straight.  This, despite the bizarre notion that Elon telling an audience that his heart goes out to them was somehow an authoritarian salute, has been massively debunked.

Tesla was removed from the Vancouver International Auto Show the day before it opened, reports The CBC.  Organizers cited “safety” concerns.  Tesla vehicles have also been removed from Vancouver’s EV subsidy program.  “Safety” is frequently the rationale employed to justify institutions retaliating against free speech and has been used to silence speakers on college campuses.

Minnesota Governor and former V.P. candidate Tim Walz has been celebrating the recent drop in Tesla’s stock price.  As if rooting against an important company that created 80,000 American jobs was not bad enough, Walz and the Left’s cheering against Telsa requires shamelessly cherry picking their stock data.  Tesla stock may be down from the high it achieved in January resulting from the “Trump bump,” but remains up nearly 34% over the last year and 18,000% since it went public!

The Left cannot forgive Elon for bringing free speech to X/Twitter, endorsing President Trump, and now for applying his unmatched talent to rooting out waste and making government more efficient.

As Congressman Wesley Hunt put it, “Musk, Musk, Musk, Musk, Musk, Musk Musk.  What’s funny about it to me is, you’re mad at the guy that found the fraud, but not mad at the people who wasted YOUR money.”

Trade Unions in general and in California specifically do not like Elon Musk. They’ve been going toe to toe with him for a number of years now. Trade Unions in California love the one party political power and the current majority party loves them.

So you can figure it out if you think hard enough. Same goons and thugs as it ever was

The FBI is looking into who is financing these terrorist attacks.

The people funding terrorism are going to jail.

The people carrying out the terrorism are going to jail.

Pam Bondi says there will be no bargaining with those arrested for domestic terrorism crimes. If they get convicted, they go to jail for 20 years, without the possibility of parole. So think about that.

I think the FBI has arrested five people so far, and three of them are facing 20-year jail sentences. I imagine the guy carrying the assault rifle and placing firebombs on Teslas is guaranteed 20 years.

I think the burning of Teslas will diminish as Delusional Democrats wake up to the reality of consequences.

If the Delusional Democrats don’t get what they want, then they turn to violence. It’s built into the Delusional, Leftwing, Democrat mindset.

The truth should not get a down vote. And I bet you are correct, the person probably does regret his purchase of a Tesla, otherwise he wouldn’t feel the need to make excuses for driving one.

I imagine the current situation causes a lot of people to decide not to buy a Tesla just to eliminate the potential problem of being harassed, or worse, by some Leftwing Fanatic.

And you know that Democrats have to be the biggest purchasers of Teslas, so the Fanatics are attacking their own, in some cases. Which just goes to show how fanatic these Delusional Democrats really are.

I think everyone if underestimating the bitterness and hostility of the laid off government workers. I served in DOE for almost 5 years and became aware of that the civil service employees look upon their job as a right. They believed that good performance was not necessary and all were looking forward to a fat retirement. All I knew were terrified about the thought of seeking employment in a competitive world. They thought I was crazy for leaving this “guaranteed” job to start a business. These tens of thousands of laid off workers are potential terrorist to show their rage about the layoffs. They prefer lawfare and violence to seeking employment for which they are qualified.

Better polling data to gather would be how many Tesla owners – before Trump’s second inauguration day – were eco-zealots who bought the thing to save the planet from global warming. So now, when the “#MuskManBad” people doxx Tesla owners and target them for vandalism / firebombing . . . . . they’d be destroying their own people’s cars and targeting their own global warming believers. It’s all completely illogical, the mobster terrorists just have not thought this whole deal all the way through. Somebody should grab one of the mobsters and ask what the carbon footprint of a burning Tesla dealership is, combined with the carbon footprint of replacing all that got torched.

Laughable lack of awareness.

The Nazis are the people trying to use an imaginary crisis as an excuse to dictate every aspect of your life, including:

Where you can live;
How you can live;
Where you can go;
How you can get there;
What you can eat;
How you can cook it;
How you can heat your dwelling;
How ‘efficient’ your appliances have to be (to the point where they don’t work);

Oh, but somebody exposing waste, corruption and squandering of taxpayer’s money we don’t even have on things not a nickel should be spent on (sice we’re trillions in debt) makes someone a ‘nazi.’

They can probably accelerate faster than most normal cars – which is basically a pretty useless feature in any practical fashion. Most EVs today have acceleration that provides the ability to pass others safely and comfortably. Most drivers know that they are not in a race.
One thing Teslas are not is well engineered. They may be in an american sense, but not to the rest of the world. We happen to know what “well engineered” actually means.

Reply to  AndersV

I think the new Chevrolet Corvette can equal the acceleration of an EV.

The new corvette has over 1,000 horsepower.

All I need is about 400 horsepower. 🙂

The car companies are still building Internal Combustion Engines.

AndersV
Reply to  Tom Abbott
March 27, 2025 1:46 am

Maybe it does. The 1000 horsepower is just as useless as the ludicruous speed feature of a Tesla. Yes, the engine can produce it but only at its peril – you can not sustain 1000 hp, and you will struggle even to get the car into a situation where the engine even comes close to producing that power.

Most people fail to understand that with cars you really need very little power. That is why EVs are possible, even a very good solution for most any use.

Yeah but you can only do “ludicrous speed” runs a couple of times, then the battery needs a rest. A Hemi (among others) can do it until the gas tank is empty and/or the tires are worn out – again and again. 😁

Oh, and of course on a long trip, a Corolla will beat a Tesla to the destination since the Tesla’s charge stops will add hours and hours to the trip time. Might make a good modern day “live action” redo of the Bugs Bunny tortoise and hare race cartoons when Bugs is always losing. 😆

Some of the personnel moves were of essential personnel, this is true, but what the Left doesn’t tell you is this was quickly fixed and essential personnel are still on the job.

If you or someone on the Left disagrees, please provide evidence of essential personnel being permanently cut from the federal government.

I don’t think you can because the leftwing media is not showing us example after example of this because they don’t have any examples, otherwise, they would not hesitate to show all the essential services that have been cut and all the poor federal workers who have been abused.

The January 6 demonstrations started out as peaceful demonstrations, but deteriorated into a small amount of violence from a few people, which can happen spontaneously depending on the circumstances.

The only person killed on January 6, was Ashley Babbitt, a Trump supporter who was shot in the head by a Capitol policeman for no good reason.

I would like for President Trump to make the circumstances of this killing public.

I would also like Trump to declassify all things having to do with January 6, but of course, there is a lot that Trump can’t make public because the Democrats and Liz Cheney destroyed a lot of it, for some reason. We have to assume the reason the information was destroyed is because it doesn’t fit their January 6 narrative that Trump was trying to overthrow the government.

The serious question is, if the vehicle has to divert onto a route it is not programmed for, how does it manage?

Add to the mix both political parties are now power voting blocks raising a real concern of one party autocratic governance and a blind person can see, their 100 year plan is working.

People need to understand that this whole torching Tesla business aims to further divide American society. It is not about green. It is not about anything Trump/Musk are doing. They are using it as an excuse to pit us against ourselves, scare us into submission, brainwash us, the works.

Should also be noted that someone has created a website listing personal information about Tesla owners, telling them that if provide proof that they sold it they will be removed (and replaced by the new owner perhaps?)

That sounds like those running that website are aiding and abetting terrorism.

The FBI may be knocking on their door.

Minnesota Governor and former V.P. candidate Tim Walz has been celebrating the recent drop in Tesla’s stock price.”

All the more reason Walz is a “former V.P. candidate,” and not “former V.P.” He’s stupid enough to make a huge public display of joy at the drop in value of Tesla stock, of which his state’s retirement fund holds 1.6 million shares.

Classic Left nonsense yet again.

Musk has become the face of DOGE.
DOGE is cutting of the tax-payer funded cash cow of the Green NGOs plus the Rainbow NGOs.
Of course they hate him.

PS What are putting in the Molotov Cocktails? Some form of fossil fuel?

The “Don’t But a Tesla” message image is “modified.” Can we say FAKED? Enlarging the final image shown in the original video shows that no Tesla or any other vehicle actually dragged a plow to make the letters. There are no tire tracks between the individual letters or silhouette.

How could anyone have been fooled by this nonsense?

I glanced right over that picture, until I read your comment, and went back and looked at it.

Is the person depicted in the image giving a Nazi salute?

That is suggested by the image, yes.

Bottom edge. Halfway between left and midpoint is a vehicle of some sort.
It looks like there is something behind it and the image suggest a possible mowing apparatus.
The vehicle on magnification looks like a van or sub, definitely not like any Testa I have seen on the road.

On close examination under high magnification, there definitely are no tire tracks anywhere.
