Climate Crisis Inc. Takes a Hit

News Brief by Kip Hansen  — 4 May 2024

Climate Crisis Inc., a nebulous, secretive  but highly organized cabal of activist groups, NGOs living on dark money from billionaires and rest of the climate-crisis industry (see The Breakthrough Institute’s  latest bombshell:  The Climate Industry’s Misdirection Campaign by Jessica Weinkle), took a serious hit on May 1stNinth Circuit Dismisses Kids’ Climate Case (Again).  (National Law Review).

One of the several sub-departments of Climate Crisis Inc. (residing in the Propaganda Ministry thereof), Inside Climate News, bemoans this news in a piece titled:  “Appeals Court Ordered the Dismissal of a Landmark Youth Climate Court Case”.

The “Landmark Youth Climate Case” is known as Juliana v. United States.  The Wiki supplies a (not-necessarily unbiased)  summary of the case here.

There are lots of viewpoints on the dismissal of the case, which is not quite final.

The Guardian:  “Court strikes down youth climate lawsuit on Biden administration request

Reuters:  “US appeals court says kids’ climate lawsuit must be dismissed

ABCNews:   “Appeals court rejects climate change lawsuit by young Oregon activists against US government”

Politico/E&E News:  “9th Circuit strikes down Juliana climate case a second time

 Author’s Comment:

And it is about time, too!  If you are a U.S. citizen, your taxes, which could have been put to some good use,  have been being wasted defending this case, and others similar to it, all being financed and co-coordinated by Climate Crisis Inc..

Do Read the piece at The Breakthrough Institute:  The Climate Industry’s Misdirection Campaign by Jessica Weinkle.

Thanks for reading.

But hey, they go the promotional time that was the objective in the first place. Everything climate crisis revolves around ad placement volume. Meanwhile science is still getting its pants on unless told to stand down by grant agencies and peer review authoritarianism.

Someone help me understand why children should be able to bring a case against anyone.

Especially a case that would destroy their own future if they won.

Total idiocy and tantamount to child abuse by whoever pushed this garbage on them.

The kids serve as human shields for an outfit called Our Children’s Trust, funded by billionaires with the usual suspects as advisors:

James “Death Trains” Hansen
Ove “Reefer Mad” Hoegh-Guldberg
Jonathan “Water Torture” Overpeck
Camille “The Extincter” Parmeson
Stefan “No Tommorow” Rahmstorf
Kevin “Hidden Heat” Trenberth
etc

Yes, they called it the trial of the century, and now it has been dismissed.

Isn’t James Hansen related to one of the child plantiffs?

Yes

“I know climate change is going to have the biggest impact on my generation and generations to come. Our government isn’t taking action and we have a very small window to turn this around. I feel a sense of responsibility to take action.”

Growing up with stories of climate change from her grandfather, legendary climate scientist, Dr. James Hansen, Sophie became passionate about climate science at a young age.

In Pennsylvania, hailstorms have damaged her family’s house, and floodwaters often inundate roads by her home. She has even been forced to prepare for tornado warnings, which are very unusual for the area where she lives.

No doubt those hailstorms will stop, floodwaters will recede and tornados go away if hydrocarbon CO2 is reduced.

No, they will just find another ‘demon’ to blame it on, if they can find a way to link it to some enterprise that is still free of state control (there aren’t many of those left).

This case was initiated by Dr Jim Hansen, retired head of GISS. Dr Jim who was famous for his alarming predictions of the West Side Hwy being under water by 2000 and global SLR of 12 to 15 ft by 2100. The Hwy was about about 10 feet above the water at the time (1988) and in 2000 was still about 10 ft above the water (save save for perhaps an inch or so) He argued in 2000 that he meant 2030, but your best bet is the Hwy will still be about 10 ft above the river!

What has Hansen learned in the 36 years since his call to panic? Well, he’s learned that climate models proved to overestimate the warming (anomaly) by 300% compared to actual measurement over 20yrs. In fact, that’s measured against the Avg. Half the models were 300 to 600% too hot! He’s learned that a protracted cooling period nearly 2 decades long (essentially as long as the 1980 -90s warming period that caused all the panic in the first place). In 2015, Hansen to his credit thought that we may be headed for couple of decades of cooling. All in all, we should be multiplying model outputs by at least a third.

Oh, and who is Juliana? She’s Dr. Hansen’s granddaughter. Hansen should advise the court that he’s not anywhere near as worried about climate as he was when he set up the kids’ case

In 1970 as a newly graduated geologist I worked for Cassiar Asbestos Corporation in their exploration department. Just as I arrived in Cassiar we had the Helen (Alaska) asbestos project cancelled due to the Alaska Native Land Claims hearings that emplaced a moratorium on all exploration work in Alaska, despite several years of planning for such projects.

In 1974, on the way up to the St. Elias mountains for a summer GSC mapping project I got to meet a USGS geologist whose expertise was on the Brooks Range in northern Alaska. He told us of an encounter the previous summer where when working out of an Alaska Pipeline construction camp, he was treated to the arrival of a Lear jet on a direct flight from LA carrying Sierra Club executives and a news crew. They landed, were met at the airstrip by the management of the camp in a warm friendly gathering, and all went inside to a lobster and steak dinner–with booze.

Five minutes before they were to leave they all got up and went outside; cameras were turned on and the Sierra Club personnel made stern statements that they would tolerate no disruption of the Alaska wilderness by the construction of this pipeline; cameras were turned off and the comradic atmosphere with the pipeline administration instantly returned, goodbyes were said and the Lear took off for the flight back to LA.

Long ago I concluded that Big Money used environmentalists as useful idiots to effect economic activity as that money wished, suppressing it in some areas and promoting it in others. Anyone else can reach their own conclusions.

About 4 million more people die each year from cold than from heat.

Trying to keep it cold should be treated as attempted murder.

Climate related deaths have decreased 97% in the last 100 years.
Heat up…deaths down.
Oil use up…deaths down!

What exactly is the climate crisis again?

If you did, you would know.

I agree with Dan Bongino: “Any money you give to the government is flushed down the toilet.” I pay thousands of dollars to a government that doesn’t know the value of money. I can spend that money better and for better value than the government.

Yes, unfortunately it’s all about the money now!
or was that the case right from the start?
Now that scientists know in their hearts there is no climate crisis, how long can they keep this fake science scam going?

…how long? – as long as they have willing accomplices in the media and government.

What is needed is another boogey man to divert their attention – like future asteroid impacts, AI, a new disease, etc., etc.

As David Pentland shows – there is not the ghost of a chance that the Keeling curve will be checked. How could it be? If natural -how? If Asian power stations you go and try not me.

Yep, if the 9th Circus, the most reversed court in the system, has tossed your lawsuit (twice!) for being too far to the left’s side of the law, you had no chance of ever prevailing.
