In that article, it becomes clear that a so-called “climate emergency” or “climate crisis” will be one of the possible triggers for this, and with the upcoming El Nino likely to spike global temperatures, irrational panic will likely enable a power grab by the UN.
Just this week, when there was supposedly the “hottest day ever” on the planet (it wasn’t, even NOAA couldn’t confirm it), U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said the latest numbers help prove “that climate change is out of control.”

They’ll likely undercut any tender you specify for controlling all the inverters too so there’s no point trying to reinvent the wheel.
If you don’t have all your chinese electronics air gapped you kinda deserve what you get.
If the UN cannot efficiently manage a budget of $3.4 billion how can we trust this wastrel organization with considerably more?
They want to create irrational panic in order to grab power. Fear is a powerful emotion and emotions keep people from using reason and facts.
Without fear, people might ask “is it true?” Is there really a climate crisis? Is it really driven by burning fossil fuels? Will the proposed measures likely solve the problem?
Emotions are important and burying them will get you nowhere, but we’re teaching an entire generation or two that emotions are MORE important than skepticism and rational thought, see CRT and affirmative action. It’s getting scary out there, to be honest.
