Why NASA’s Artemis Has Fuel-Leak Problems That SpaceX Doesn’t | WSJ

235 808 vues 13 sept. 2022

NASA’s Artemis I launch has been delayed twice because of problems with their main fuel: liquid hydrogen. It’s not a new one for the space agency. As NASA described it, “hydrogen is difficult to work with.”

Meanwhile, SpaceX has switched to methane for their Mars-bound Starship spacecraft.

Announcing, for the first time, a “tornado alarm” what will alert you 24/7 when the NWS determines you are in the direct path of a tornado or winds of 80+mph.

Unlike apps and weather radios, this will only awaken you for a truly dangerous situation. No shrieking alarms at 2am for 1″ hail.

It would be nice if there were a software repository somewhere, like a GitHub for WUWT, where we could drop off bits of s/w we’ve written that people might want to play with. I don’t know much about those things at all, but the idea just popped into my head.
