IT’S BACK! Heartland’s 14th International Conference on Climate Change

The 14th International Conference on Climate Change (ICCC-14) will take place Thursday, May 7 and Friday, May 8 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

Once again, Heartland’s latest climate and energy conference will be THE EVENT to attend for those who want to meet the best scientists and experts from around the world who are brave enough to publicly tell the truth about the CLIMATE DELUSION, and what this means for all of us.

For decades, so-called academic elites — with help from the mainstream media — have made a living peddling the delusion that human activity is causing an impending global catastrophe. As the years pass, the “climate crisis” keeps being pushed into the future. Why? Because the forces of collectivism and big, controlling government are using it as a means to gain more control over us.

The program is still coming together, but speakers at Heartland’s ICCC-14 will summarize the best available data on climate science and energy, while recommending policy changes that will place America at the forefront of a post-alarmist world in terms of climate realism.

Confirmed speakers

ICCC-14 will also feature timely, in-depth, and expert discussions about the benefits of a gently warming and slightly wetter world. By nearly all measures, the world is better off than 30 years ago.

To register, click here or call 312/377-4000.

Watch presentations from all of Heartland’s previous conferences here, and learn more about what’s really going on with our climate at Heartland’s Arthur B. Robinson Center on Climate and Environmental Policy.

“the forces of collectivism and big, controlling government are using it as a means to gain more control over us.”

And that never ends well for the “Us” in the aforementioned relationship. In fact there are long term health issues in that relationship such as hunger, exposure, etc

Just ask the people of Venezuela how this whole giving control over to Central Government has worked out for them. Ask the survivors in East Germany, Poland, Czechoslovakia, Ukraine how much they enjoyed life in post war Eastern Europe under the collective. Ask the North Koreans or Chinese how speaking out about Government Control is a terminal disease usually brought on by lead poisoning.

Of course it works out really well for those in control of the Collective because they hoard all the good stuff for themselves the rest of “Us” be hanged.

OT…I’m watching the Caucasus coverage on MSNBC and watching the stats scroll at the bottom.
Age demographics 45 – 65 … 28% and 65+ 28% so 56% over 45
Race demographics 94% white
Sex demographics 42% men 58% women
So it would appear that the Democrats are concerned about Republican Old White Men because they are a bunch of Old White Women

10+ B.A. That is also why they are so focused on controlling the Public School systems The one problem. They have finally reached a “dumbing down” point where indoctrination is practically effortless but recruitment into the college bound socialist army is exponentially more difficult.

Seems they can provided federal funds to send them to college but the colleges are reporting back that they can’t read. They only want to go to college to party and protest. Don’t ask them to get involved in politics its too much like work.

Frank is a signatory to An Evangelical Declaration on Global Warming, which states that “Earth and its ecosystems – created by God’s intelligent design and infinite power and sustained by His faithful providence – are robust, resilient, self-regulating, and self-correcting.”

I think it’s important to give those who believe in magic a platform to spread unscientific misinformation.

You mean like the magic molecule, CO2 – which can cause anything and everything outside your window? (As long as it is “bad,” of course.)

CO2 heats the planet. It’s called physics.

Yes, but not much. It’s called physics.

And it really boosts plant growth. That is also called physics but biologists get a confirmation vote.

…the benefits of a gently warming and slightly wetter world.

Tell that to the good folks of eastern and southern Australia and you’d be run out of town at the end of a pitchfork.

Alarmists paint pictures like rising sea levels come at people like tsunamis and forest/brush fires pop up because the atmosphere is .05 degrees warmer.

Loydo, droughts are not Global Warm…aahhh we really meant climate change all along. warmer is better than colder. I could have painted the poor folk of eastern and southern Australia a much bleaker future when the scientists and the media, here in the Northern half were going on about the coming ICE AGE back in the 70’s

If you are a true believer, an alarmist to the grave you would at least know not to build on the seashore unless you are prepared to move inland and not to play with fire in dry brush unless you want to burn down the surrounding landscape. Yet alarm fosters (not the beer) arson just to confirm bias and rich people build expansively on the seashore.

“Tell that to the good folks of eastern and southern Australia …”

Why? Has someone been lying to them about this year’s fire and rain being “unprecedented” and “the new normal”?

I hear from a friend in Melbourne that the ABC has gone absolutely bonkers with climate alarmism in recent weeks. They should spend some time checking with Tony Heller’s videos at where he places “catastrophic climate events” in historical perspective as weather events repeating the past. He has to, because no one else will.

Loydo, first ask the bogans – are they interested in pitchforks.

Anyone hear the claims over the last several weeks that there will be an early spring? Current temps this morning are 21 F(feels like 14 F). What happened to the early spring? This is a false spring. My dwarf peaches are close to flowering. because of the early warmth in January. Now they will be in danger of losing a portion of the bud/fruit just like last year.

We have learned that doomsday tales support active politicians.

These politicians promise to protect the country.

Protection will be announced for “the future” / you’ve heard the sounds /. It will take place when the incumbent politician is no longer in office.

This politician will have no problems during his term, just enough voters.

His successor will have a task – which he can promise to accomplish. In the future. You’ve heard the sounds.
