Well, this is very old news. Within 7 days, Limhamns church stopped “twittering”.
Apparently, this pastor is a notorious communist who was active in the Swedish communist party before he became a priest. He had recently opined that Sweden should not fortify the island of Gotland, which is the first point of contact for a Russian invasion. Also supports islamic call to prayer… He also used the word “p****” with reference to female anatomy and also the Swedish equivalent in another tweet…. nice!
It is rather ironic since Limhamn is the most upscale part of greater Malmo with probably the fewest leftists.
Now we are getting the good litmus tests of sanity in climate scare for the general population. Fail!

It’s no longer difficult to show that CO2, although increasing, has nothing to do with our current warming. Alarmists, rather than taking advantage of earlier global warming data, have instead used a cherry-picked short-term correlation between CO2 and temperature from 1975 to the 2000s. (The IPCC admitted there was a temperature “hiatus” in the 2000s. There was a global cooling between 1945 and 1975.)
The only other argument favoring CO2 is, when added to a closed container, the temperature therein increases somewhat. However, the open atmosphere is hardly a closed container. Satellites detect heat escaping to space and closed containers do not experience planetary-level feedbacks.
The proponents of anthropogenic-caused global warming invariably DENY that the Medieval Warming Period (MWP, 1,000 years ago) was global and likely warmer than it is now. The alarmists acknowledge only that Europe experienced the MWP. (They had no choice – climate in that region is too well documented!) Alarmists apparently must take this unjustifiable position because their computer models cannot replicate the earlier global warmings. Their computer models require an increasing CO2 level, plus depend even more on yet another ASSUMPTION – that water vapor feedback is the actual culprit, causing 2 to 3 times the temperature increase brought on by the increase in CO2.
The global temperature increase during the MWP and the earlier global warmings could not have been influenced by CO2 because there was no increase in CO2, not during the MWP, nor during any of the earlier global warmings before the MWP. The problem for alarmists is that it becomes obvious that our current warming (such as it is) might also be due to NATURAL climate variation. That, of course, conflicts with Mann’s hockey stick graph. Mann recently lost a suit he brought against Dr. Tim Ball years ago. Mann must pay all of Dr Ball’s legal expenses. Mann succeeded in extending the duration of that lawsuit by delaying a dismissal, agreeing to provide his “work” but chose to ignore that requirement.
If there’s any doubt about Mann’s dubious hockey stick, it’s also easy to show (and easy to understand) that the MWP was both global and at least as warm as now. While that proves nothing directly about the cause of our current warming (such as it is) it speaks loudly about the credibility of the folks who DENY that the MWP was global and at least as warm as now. Nonetheless the question remains. Why did the alarmists choose CO2 as the culprit when there is no evidence that CO2, a trace gas, has ever had any impact on our planet’s temperature? There was obviously some uncertainty. Phil Jones, one of the prominent alarmist players early during this issue, stated that if the MWP was global and as warm as now, then that was a “different ballgame”. They decided instead to deny that the MWP was global and at least as warm as now.
It’s obvious now, if not then, that a more rational approach would have involved a closer investigation of the earlier global warmings, particularly the MWP, before proceeding with speculation about CO2.
Some time ago Henrik Svensmark, a Danish physicist, and some associates, came up with a theory which does make use of, and explain, the historical data. Svensmark’s theory involves sun activity modulating the level of an otherwise rather steady steam of cosmic rays penetrating the lower atmosphere. (CERN certified some time ago that cosmic rays may influence cloud cover.) Until very recently we have been experiencing a high level of sun activity. A very low level of sun activity is now underway. If the sun remains inactive for a significant duration, Svensmark would expect a cooling.
At this stage of the game, whether or not Svensmark’s theory holds up, it appears that more attention needs to be directed at historical data, and increasing CO2 is no longer a concern for climatologists. Since that is the only current possibility for human activity being responsible for warming, it appears that humanity is off that hook.
There is a lot of weird people out there who anoint the people they support with religious status. I suppose the idea is that if you oppose them, you must be opposing Gods will. Here’s another one.

Democratic presidential candidates, along with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and her horde(a large unorganized group of individuals), want to declare climate change a national emergency should they win the presidential election in 2020. The declaration would give a Democratic president immense power to trample on the rights of ordinary citizens. These include freezing bank accounts, shutting down communications facilities, cell phone service and the internet, and appropriating federal money for other projects. It’s not hard to see how a Democratic president could use any one of these powers to make drastic, inalterable changes. Far-left Democrats are convinced that man-made climate change will end the world within their lifetime. What is more, these same individuals know that the Green New Deal and other progressive bits of legislation won’t make it past the Senate. Sixty Senate votes are needed to advance legislation that requires federal funding and there is no way the Democrats will get sixty seats in the Senate in the foreseeable future. However, a Democrat president could use the declaration of a national emergency to get around Congress. With national emergency powers, the president could simply implement parts or even all of the Green New Deal if desired. Measures in that deal would immediately begin to affect ordinary families and businesses. Insane tax rates on fossil fuels will drive prices up, making it impossible for drivers to commute long distances. The airline industry would be shut down, resulting in the loss of tens of thousands of good jobs. New housing laws would require that millions of homeowners in the United States remodel their houses at their own expense. Unfortunately, the devastation that could be caused by a climate change national emergency is lost on those who are intent on promoting conspiracy theories for political gain. Democratic presidential candidates Sen. Bernie Sanders and Sen. Elizabeth Warren, both of whom are considered to be among the top five candidates, are both in favor of the idea. The mainstream media isn’t telling the American public of the harm that would be done in this scenario. Instead, journalists are making it a point to tell everyone that Democrats need to take drastic action, because Democrats will never get enough votes in the Senate to pass legislation the right way. Outlets are also proclaiming that there is a global push to “address man-made climate change” to make it sound as if the United States is falling behind. The truth is that the U.S. is leading the world in cutting carbon emissions under the Trump Administration. The idea of declaring a national emergency to combat climate change is a terrifying one. As many have already realized, the Green New Deal isn’t just about dealing with severe, inclement weather and natural disasters. It’s a plan to create a socialized nation under the guise of advancing “equality” and “justice”. Even Rep. Ocasio-Cortez’s Chief of Staff admitted as much to journalists just a few days ago. Democratic candidates hope to use the climate change hysteria to enact legislation that could not be enacted any other way. In short, progressives hope that, with national emergency powers, the candidate of their choice could become a dictator.
It seems that most people have forgotten that
1) In the 1970’s the fear was global cooling!
2) Later, the same environmental group in Aspen CO that had been telling us global cooling was the single largest problem facing the planet SWITCHED to telling us that global warming was now top of the list
3) Then it became “human caused” global warming
4) Then global warming morphed into “climate change”
5) but perhaps most importantly, the event which started huge increases in government research grant funding was coal miner strikes in Britain! Mrs. Thatcher was Prime Minister and responded to the coal miners’ threats by funding research “proving” global warming was caused by rising CO2 levels and it became imperative that we move away from coal as an energy source. The governmental funding for global warming research has only grown since then DESPITE scientific evidence that our plant’s temperatures are driven by variations in solar output.

His truncated history at the end of his post, of how the current climate scam got started in the first place, is covered in fine detail in this book ‘Climate Change: Natural or Manmade?’, available on Amazon. It describes in fine detail how it all began, way back in the early years of the twentieth century and how it ultimately became “weaponized”, ie; politicized by Margaret Thatcher. Yet so many personalities and events contributed to the idea of a runaway greenhouse effect, trumpeted largely by Carl Sagan in the 1960s and 1970s, that helped reinforce the idea in the minds of politicians, and scientists on the hunt for the latest scientific fad. It is far and away the biggest pseudo-scientific political scam in history. And now that the far left have their grubby little paws all over the fakestream media and the fakestream education system, especially the universities, things will get a lot worse before they get any better.
Whole thing is ridiculous. It was a small tweet from a small church in Malmö. Has nothing to do with the Swedish Church as a whole, nothing decided by the politicians that govern the Church. The tweet was probably meant as a joke. Though I cannot say for sure, if the anonymous tweeter didn’t mean it seriously to some extent. In any case the tweet was improper. If humans name successors to Christ, then we would soon have a plethora of people expected to replace Him, who cannot be replaced.

Pundits in several publications, including my local newspaper, have declared that Greta Thunberg is “Joan of Arc.” Now a church in Sweden declares that she’s the Second Coming. This is too heavy an assignment for a neurotic teenager.
Another Pied Piper is more like it. That’s not a good place to be, either.
What’s going to happen to Greta when she has second thoughts, gets her driver’s license, drives a convertible on a country road with the wind in her hair, and decides internal combustion engines aren’t so bad after all? Will she be exiled for apostasy? Crucified?

FIRST: You do not “walk out” of school…. you demonstrate on SATURDAY … walking out of school is wasting the energy that was used to heat/coolthe schoolbuilding. Also you better get every scrap of education to compete with the Chinese & Indians who are going to eat-your-lunch. The “teachers” love getting a PAID day off from your narcistic little pusses.
THEN: Start with the schools:
Either Home School everyone….. imagine the carbon savings if everyone studied at home ………. or:
(1) Drop school room temperatures down to 65 during the winter. yank ALL air conditioners. Recycle the materials
(2) WALK or bicycle to school. No more buses or rides.
(3) No more school trips or events involving travel other than walking or bikes.
(4) No more HOT lunches. ALL food provided MUST be eaten.
(5) No more energy wasting swimming pools, showers, amenities.
(6) Simple utilitarian school uniforms. No more resource wasting “fashions”.
(7) All schools downsized, larger class sizes, smaller classrooms(easier to heat)
(8) NO “teacher”s to reduce carbon footprint. All lectures will be streamed over the interweb, Why keep reinventing the wheel when the subject matter can be covered expertly by ONE central lecturer, questions answered online. tests online,
(9) Wandering room monitors suplemented with cameras replace teachers.
(10) Year round school to speed education. We are not agrarian, kids don’t help in the fields today. Why have unused structures 3 months each year.
(11) You cant have an individual internet it takes up too much carbon to produce the billions of devices needed to use the web and to infrastructure the web.
(12) Schoolbooks will be treated carefully and reused. 2+2 has equaled 4 for thousands of years and basic truths do not have to be rewritten so some corporation can make big bucks ……….. while chopping down trees.
(13) Quit polluting the water with purple hair dye.
(14) No more plastic/costume jewelry & doo-dads that go into a landfill in a month.
(15) No more pathetic “LOOK AT ME” paper protest posters that destroy whole forests so they can get “seen”. Mountains/Trees of placards going straight to the landfill after the clown show of “virtue”
(16) Switch off all those TVs at home Switch off all those computers and i-pads and read a book
(17) Make a sandwich, or eat a salad, rather than buying high-fat fast food and becoming a total lard-ass
But none of this will happen, because you sweet young school-indoctrinated GWAs are selfish, overly opinionated, poorly educated, virtue-signaling little t*rds, who crave a feeling to have a noble cause while they indulge themselves in luxury and unprecedented quality of life. Wake up, Grow up and Shut up until you understand the facts before protesting.
