I think he’s suggesting that when the propaganda people went through their file to find a picture to go with the article they either never read the article or stopped at fake news “penguin” instead of fake news “polar bear”.

That is a random mediaeval thing in an icy scene.
And that picture seems to have been selected with at least a little thought… can you see why someone asked to find a stock photo to go with a piece on ice or similar might have come up with a random ice floe plus penguin without it being a plot/propaganda?
That picture was an actual depiction of the event. Show us the stock photo of a penguin on an ice flow at the north pole.

I can remember Joe Bastardi using a figure like this in his weekly forecasts that he does not do anymore. I really did like those weekly updates and his explanations.
The way he used to explain the figure is that he was not worried about the temperature in the cold months and that his main concern for the ice was what happened during the summer. That is, if the temperatures were higher than normal in the summer then the ice would be threatened. You will notice in the furnished figure that it was warmer than normal in the earlier part of the year. As he said; it is still cold.
I managed to find an updated figure and have saved the website. Indeed, it is warmer than normal for this time of the year but it is still cold. You will also notice that summer was near normal. The figure is here.

I should also mention that not too long ago on this website it was reported that ocean heat was being lost in 30N-65N and 60W to 0. Is it possible that this might account for what we are seeing here?
