Yesterday we informed you about how France’s lead television weatherman was forced to take a “holiday” in response to him publishing a book that is critical towards climate change alarmism. So far, all the TV network has done is unleash the Striesand Effect, heaping negative attention upon their decision, which is being seen as prohibiting free speech.I’ve heard from people in France, and they are mobilizing a petition:

Even if he emphasizes that he is not a climate skeptic, Philippe Verdier points out in his book all the erring ways of climate policies. He also criticizes the IPCC and its ideological views that have just nothing to do with science.
The origin of his book is Laurent Fabius’ explicit and recent attempt to get full support of all French weathermen prior to COP21, the international climate conference that will be held in Paris late November. Laurent Fabius is the French Foreign Minister and also the future president of this conference.
In January, citizens from all countries in the world stood up for freedom of speech, with « Je suis Charlie » as a motto. Time has come to stand up again. The Collectif des climato-réalistes call on you to sign this petition regardless of your opinion about climate change.

Blatant suppression of a view that exposes flaws in the official line is the what defines a fascist regime. When the truth is suppressed, all that must be left is untruths. Only lies will emerge to patch the errors in the narrative.

They’ve now changed the ‘goal’ to 2,500. What kind of website is that? It’s beginning to feel like an AGW alarmist site where they keep changing the goalposts.
Changing the target is done automatically by the petition template of change.org. We are not directly involved in that. Sorry if this could be disturbing for some of you.There is no tricky game from our side.
I guess they do it to put targets that seem reachable. In management this is called putting SMART targets: Specific, Measurable, ACHIEVABLE, Result oriented, Time bounded. But this is just a personal nterpretation.

Apparently they get more to sign that way, a lot of sites do that these days;
if the real goal is 1,000,000 & they’ve only got 88, you think its hopeless & so don’t sign.
if the goal is 100 & they’ve got 88 you think you can make a difference & you do sign.
When it gets to 99 change the goalposts to 200 & you appear to be 50% to the goal, (Achievable).
Not the seemingly un-achevable 0.005%
I think the idea came from the Harvard business school.

Australian MSM – arguably the most CAGW-infested in the world – has completely ignored this story to date. not a word from taxpayer-funded ABC or from the influential Murdoch press (apart from a blog).
Australia’s peak science body, CSIRO, stopped doing this annual survey after they got this result:

there may not be a majority at ABC who share the sceptical views of the 53% in the CSIRO study, but there must surely be a very significant number who do.

I am sure there are a couple of ABC presenters who have reservations about CAGW and some would be aware of this blog. Enormous courage would be required of them to just voice their doubts because in Oz vilification of people holding contrary views is considered compulsory by a lot of the Australian MSM journos and TV presenters who because they have over-inflated egos are far more interested in voicing their own opinions than asking hard questions of both sides on an issue and doing the hard groundwork to find out facts. The ABC has completely and pathetically failed to give balanced reporting on CAGW despite more and more people starting to question it.

France 2 channel’s Philippe Verdier told not to return to work for foreseeable future after writing book which throws doubt on findings of leading scientists..
In the book, Verdier throws doubt on the findings of leading climate scientists and political leaders, saying they have “taken the world hostage”. It is timed to coincide with France’s hosting of a major UN climate summit in December.

It’s mostly French, a few tidbits in English which invite people to send name/profession/(URL?) to get listed. Worth checking out, especially if you’re French or get particularly annoyed at retribution like this.
