Social Good Summit turns to hatefest – Al Gore likens skeptics to racists, homophobes and violent alcoholics

The “Social Good” summit in NYC going on today bills itself as:

A three-day conference where big ideas meet new media to create innovative solutions.

The Social Good Summit is a three-day conference where big ideas meet new media to create innovative solutions. Held during UN Week from September 22-24, the Social Good Summit unites a dynamic community of global leaders to discuss a big idea: the power of innovative thinking and

technology to solve our greatest challenges. The most innovative technologists, influential minds and passionate activists will come together with one shared goal: to unlock the potential of new media and technology to make the world a better place, and then to translate that potential into action.

But it seems that thanks to warmists Al Gore and former Senator Tim Wirth (the guy who turned off the air conditioning and opened the windows at Hansen’s global warming hearing in June 1988) it has become a hatefest against climate skeptics.

Video follows:

Then Tim Wirth had this to say during the live video feed:

“Skeptics are ‘truly evil people”

Wow, I wonder if these guys realize how unhinged they sound in the current dynamic?

Hate, hate, hate and contempt for anybody who dares to question their religion.. Gotta fire up the believers before they change the channel.. Its sad to see them discard the final maybe, they know, they’ve always known and they just don’t care that they are wrong..
The would rather silence you, imprison you, slander you, maybe even kill you than admit their science and the politics it spawned is misguided..
I think its high time the law put its foot down on these clowns STARTING WITH AL GORE!

By the way , this OTT approach is actually counter-productive , as people know that AGW sceptics are no the monsters that these fools claim they are . Therefore it seen as frankly stupid , which ironically is why it should be encouraged.

What a sick sales job from one of our country’s former leaders… no wonder we are sinking into the mire.
I heard Al Gore give his sincere thanks to United Nations (for the millions he has made) and his CEO’s, companies, organizations, institutions, governments, agencies, but not once did he mention you and me in the real world, the public, except inferred as the masses, and besides most of what he spoke is blatantly scientifically wrong, his mind stuck on nothing but heat, heat, heat. Makes me sick. Hey a..hole Al Gore, the temperature has not changed now for seventeen long years, there is no heat, heat, heat, and likely it will be become thirty years if not a cooling, you wake up. And yes Al, all you see today has happened before and its been even worse then than now. Sorry for venting, I hate liars, especially liars selling lies to fertile minds, with a passion.
I’d need blood pressure medicine prescribed if they took it right now, better just get back to the science and click this Al Gore video off. 😉

I nearly voted for him. He needs to step back from the political, and review the data.
This may mean that he also needs to get some different advisers and/or speech writers. I’m willing to talk to him.

The London Cholera example:
Highly ironic that Gore should use the Broad St cholera epidemic to support his case. The doctor who discovered the link between cholera and sewage water, John Snow was a SCEPTIC of the CONSENSUS theory at the time that cholera was caused by a miasma of ‘bad air’. Snow’s theory was not accepted by the consensus experts for many years. Now Gore compares CO2 emissions to using our atmosphere as a sewer!

Instead of Gore, I voted for Ralph Nader. That was the presidential election when I got fed up and quit voting for the “democratic” candidate.
grumpyoldmanuk says: Is the Gore fortune still founded on Tobacco farming?
Gore’s fortune has an interesting history. Gore Jr. benefited from Gore, Sr.
Gore, Jr. was born with the silver spoon in his mouth.
Gore, Sr. was not. Gore, Sr’s fortune was established by Armand Hammer.
Armand Hammer’s fortune was established by – get this – selling things such as pencils to the Soviet Union which the Communist system was failing to produce for itself.
Let’s face it: if your five-year plan, in the face of bountiful natural resources, fails to provide a supply of pencils worthy of your state bureaucrats, your econo-political system does not work.
You can explore whether this is all true or not by using Google. I would put citations but I am busy developing scientific analyses, transparent and with citations, for my day job. After 5pm.
Cheers!

Nothing pisses me off lately than people who claim that the recent Rim fire in California is a sign of global warming. California receives very i rain during the summer, and hasn’t for eons. A century of putting out fires, and severe restrictions on logging have built up fuel loads in California forests that when a fire starts they burn with very destructive intensity.
Al Gore is great at throwing out unsubstaniated and freightening claims.

The comedy is that Algore is skeptical about the evidence that humans are NOT the main cause of GW/climate change/climate chaos and therefore by his own reasoning he is all of the above.
Or he is running low other peoples money so he preaches to those that have wealth guilt and lets them relieve that guilt by donations to whatever his cause de jour is.

Misguided, self-centered do-gooders end up costing us a bunch of wasted time and resources, needlessly causing panic, and poisoning the minds of public-education school children.
Reminds me of this saying I came across in some ancient near-east sage wisdom writings:

“Zeke” quoted Al Dork:
“Prehistoric Europe and much of the world was based on the worship of a single earth goddess, who was assumed to be the fount of all life and who radiated harmony among all living things. Much of the evidence for the existence of this primitive religion comes from the many thousands of artifacts uncovered in ceremonial sites. These sites are so widespread that they seem to confirm the notion that a goddess religion was ubiquitous through much of the world until the antecedents of today’s religions, most of which still have a distinctly masculine orientation…swept out of India and the Near East, almost obliterating belief in the goddess. The last vestige of organized goddess worship was eliminated by Christianity as late as the fifteenth century in Lithuania.”
–Now, Al Dork getting kicked out of his theology program is beginning to make sense.

The truth will ALWAYS come out sooner or later.
Below is my theory which I feel will be proven correct before the decade ends, while AGW theory will be proven wrong.
My average solar parameter theory states if these solar parameters are attained folllowing several years of sub-solar activity in general the temperature trend is going to be down. Sub solar activity in general started in year 2005.
THEY ARE:
solar flux avg. sub 90.
solar wind speed avg. sub 350 km/sec.
ap index avg. sub 5.0 some spikes the other 1% of the time.
cosmic ray count per min. north of 6500.
e 10.7 flux avg. sub 100.
solar irradiance avg. off .015% or more.
This over a duration of time of 3 plus years.
Some Secondary effects
A more meridional atmospheric circulation due to ozone distribution changes in the stratosphere due to very low EUV light values. In turn a more meridional atmospheric circulation will result in more clouds, precip., and snow cover for the N.H. Colder temperatures ,increase in albedo.
Low solar wind will result in an increase in galactic cosmic rays (also have to take into account the strength of earth’s magnetic field, which when weak will compound solar effects) which will result in an increase in clouds ,lower temperatures.
Weak solar irradiance will result in weaker amounts of visible light penetrating the ocean surface ,result will be lower ocean heat content.
Low ap index with spikes will promote more volcanic activity as will an increase in galactic cosmic rays ,many studies have shown. Mr. Casey of the Space and Science Center has research in support of this.
An increase in volcanic activity if high latitude will contribute to warming the stratosphere in the higher latitudes resulting in a more meridional atmospheric circulation pattern, while at the same time cool the surface of the earth due to so2 particles reflecting incoming sunlight.
Some speculate that the cold phase of the PDO( more la ninas ,less el ninos) is tied into prolonged solar activity ,due to rotational changes in the earth ,due to an increase in gelogical activity.
That is my basic take, easily falsified if the solar parameters I said are reached and the climate does not show a decline in the temperature trend.

They know they have lost, but their jangling cognitive dissonance is being addressed with anger and a childish rage to call people nasty names.
It will get worse before it gets better. Their world view and pseudo religion Gaia worship is cracking beneath their feet and it takes humans time to handle changes of this magnitude.
But when they do finally realize most of them have been conned by a few grifters and wannabe do-gooders (hello Al, ). they will be very, very, pissed.

FFS this heat going into the oceans is the new mantra, like somehow it’s only just happened due to human caused C02. There people are pathetic. As I listen the idiot is now talk crap about Colorado. Ah relief the video has stopped.
Anyhow why has all the heat suddenly decided to go into the oceans what’s the mechanism behind that.

THE TRUTH ABOUT AL GORE
Or: How to $ave the Planet and Make Billion$ in the Proce$$
Al Gore spent his whole political career working for Occidental Oil. He was supposed to be the United States Senator from Tennessee. His father was known as “the Senator from Occidental”. He is now in business with Goldman Sachs.
Gore does not have one honest strand of DNA in his body. Al Gore’s family is linked to corrupt oilman the late Armand Hammer. Why the Vice President knows so much about Russia: tycoon Armand Hammer had the politician’s father “in his back pocket”.
http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/al-gores-family-linked-to-corrupt-oilman-716413.html
Gore is worth $100 million.
http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/story?id=3281925
Al Gore lies to Congress: — “Goldman who?”
http://greenhellblog.wordpress.com/2009/04/27/al-gore-lies-to-congress-part-2-goldman-who/
March 6 (Bloomberg) — Former U.S. Vice President Al Gore left the White House seven years ago with less than $2 million in assets, including a Virginia home and the family farm in Tennessee. Now he’s making enough to put $35 million in hedge funds and other private partnerships.
http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601087&sid=a7li9Nhmhvg0&refer=home
Gore has made significant investments in “environmentally friendly” projects like carbon trading markets, solar power, biofuels, electric vehicles, sustainable fish farming and waterless toilets. He has also invested in non-climate change related investments, including putting money into Google and Apple.
Gore says it is “certainly not true” that he was going to become a “carbon billionaire” and that the suggestion came from global warming “deniers”. He said: “I am proud to put my money where my mouth is for the past 30 years. And though that is not the majority of my business activities, I absolutely believe in investing in accordance with my beliefs and my values”.
One company in which Al Gore invested has contracts with utilities that received a combined subsidy of $560m (£340m) from the US energy department. The New York Times points out that one company in which Gore invested, Silver Spring Networks, has contracts with utilities that last week received a combined subsidy of $560m (£340m) from the US energy department. The payments, part of a total $3.4bn handed out by the federal government to encourage the distribution of environmentally-friendly power, are likely to be handsomely recouped by Gore and his associates.
The accusation that Gore is trapped in a conflict of interest has been raised periodically over the past few years. It is a barb popular among climate change skeptics and right-wing bloggers, as well as Republican politicians. Marsha Blackburn, a congressional representative from Gore’s home state of Tennessee, tackled him over the issue in April 2009 during a subcommittee debate in Congress on the Obama administration’s proposed cap-in-trade system for curbing emissions.
She referred to Gore’s partnership of Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers, a Californian venture capital company that has put about $1bn into about 40 companies that will be bidding for contracts under the new system. One of Gore’s partners at Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers is John Doerr, who advises Barack Obama on dealing with the economic downturn. “Is the legislation we are discussing here today something you are going to benefit personally from?” she asked.
Gore, audibly riled, replied that every penny he made from his investments was put back into his non-profit foundation to spread knowledge about the climate challenge. “If you believe that the reason I have been working on this issue for 30 years is because of greed, you don’t know me,” he said, adding: “Do you think there’s something wrong with being active in business in this country? I am proud of it.”
But global warming skeptics are not convinced. Marc Morano of climatedepot.com said: “Al Gore wants to become the first carbon billionaire and he is poised to do it. As much as Gore’s made now, it is going to be a piker league compared to what he is going to make in five years if all these new carbon trading mandates go through”.
Gore is also a founder of Generation Investment Management, based in London, which has substantial interests in green technology.
A large proportion of the world’s political elites have fallen for the AGW fraud. Is there a precedence for this? Yes, they bailed out the banks without question. The same people who stand to make a fortune from a global warming tax aka “carbon trading”.
And who invented carbon trading?
Ken Lay (Enron), Al Gore (Occidental Oil), and Lord Browne (BP).
Gore, along with Maurice Strong and Obama set up the privately-owned Chicago Climate Exchange, which now calls itself “North America’s only cap and trade system for all six greenhouse gases, with global affiliates and projects worldwide”.
There was an Oval Office meeting on August 4, 1997 with Ken Lay, Sir John Browne of BP, and the President and Vice President of the United States. Let’s contemplate the full implications of such a meeting. He didn’t know the guy, but that that kind of orchestration and attention takes serious influence, as revealed by Ken Lay’s briefing memo of August 1, 1997, subsequently aired after some unpleasantness. In this meeting Ken Lay demanded that the Senate be ignored, that the administration agree to Kyoto, and, most importantly, that it contain a cap-and-trade scheme.
http://www.globalwarming.org/2009/04/28/gores-inconvenient-enron/
Enron officials later expressed elation at the results of the Kyoto conference. An internal memo said the Kyoto agreement, if implemented, would “do more to promote Enron’s business than almost any other regulatory initiative outside of restructuring the energy and natural gas industries in Europe and the United States”.

Oh, and Gore is also a failed photographer.

This made me laugh…
Al Gore’s Interview with Liz Hightower of Outside Magazine, December 2009
Al Gore: Mr. Climate Is Back!
The former VP talks about his new, solutions-based book.
LH: “How do you talk to those climate-change naysayers?”
AG: “…The denial movement is in its sunset phase—and they’re putting on a spectacular display just before they fade. The scientific evidence is so overwhelming now…”

Play the man not the ball. A well tried and useful tactic. We can all play dirty but I’ll let him off today and not mention that he took tobacco campaign funding while his sister was in bed dying of lung cancer. I will not mention that he has 2 large houses for members of his happy extended family. I won’t mention that his family became rich on Occidental Petroleum. I won’t mention that he sold his Current TV to fossil fueled AlGoreZeera. I won’t mention that he likes a gooooooooood massage, if you know what I mean ;-). I won’t mention that his investment firm has been dis-investing from green investments. I won’t mention that Al Gore is the worse spokesperson for global warming. Did I mention at least one member of his family owned slaves? Do I have to delve into alcoholism in the family?

Al Gore’s 40-year marriage ended over wife’s ‘jealous rages’
Al Gore’s 40-year marriage crumbled because of his wife’s jealous rages that he was allegedly having an affair, it was claimed tonight.
The former US presidential candidate separated from Tipper because she suspected he was sleeping with a string of glamorous women.
Rather than her ending the relationship as previously thought, it was he who brought things to an end, according to U.S. reports……….
The reports suggest Tipper, 61, was enraged by speculation her husband was allegedly involved with a Hollywood actress, a massage therapist and women he had had relationships with before meeting her.

No Mr Watts you’ve misunderstood this completely. Clearly you were bamboozled by the use of the word ‘Good’, in this context this word carries only political connotations. Allow me to translate :
“The Social Good Summit is a three-day conference where big ideas meet new media to create innovative solutions”
Translation: The Social Good Summit is a three-day media event opportunity for famous people with planet sized egos to get some publicity, bathe in their own self-importance and practice the verbal equivalent of onanism.
“Held during UN Week from September 22-24, the Social Good Summit unites a dynamic community of global leaders to discuss a big idea: ”
Translation: It coincides with some UN bollix to make it sound more important than it is and it’s for left wing types only.
“the power of innovative thinking and technology to solve our greatest challenges.”
Translation: It’s about global warming.
“The most innovative technologists, influential minds and passionate activists ”
Translation: Only people who are politically slightly to the Left of Fidel Castro need apply.
“will come together with one shared goal: to unlock the potential of new media and technology to make the world a better place, ”
Translation: I-pads and I-phones are compulsory.
“and then to translate that potential into action.”
Translation: It’s all talk and no bottom. It will be in no way productive or at all useful to anyone.

First, I want to apologize to the rest of humanity that my state foisted Algore onto the world. However, I think it needs to be pointed out, in our defense, that we saw through his BS before most and kept him from being elected President. If you can’t win over the voters of your home state, you don’t deserve to be President.
Secondly, since Algore doesn’t really live here anymore (he has 3 or 4 mansions throughout the world), he may not realize that it has been really cold in Tennessee lately. Check out what the temperature record has been:
http://stevengoddard.wordpress.com/2013/09/12/tennessee-summers-have-cooled-dramatically-since-the-1920s/
Thirdly, many Tennesseans think that growing your net worth from a measly million or so from tobacco and oil interests to $300 million off of the backs of the Global Warming hoax is an EVIL thing indeed, especially when your own carbon footprint is ten thousand times the average Tennesean.
We figured this guy out a long time ago. The rest of the world will catch up soon.
