Climate Change Denialism – Greg Laden’s Blog

Anthony Watts has responded on his blog but if I put a link to it he will discover that I’ve written about him and instruct his winged monkeys to fill my comment section with hate.

I went to Mr Ladens Blog page and parused the comments. One commenter asked:
Les Johnson
March 28, 2013 But why do skeptic sites put AGW site son their blog rolls?
.Mr Ladens responce was:
Greg Laden
March 28, 2013 Less [#5] … I don’t know, you would have to ask them, but one guess would be do that you could ask that question. It’s a bully tactic; establishing rules that don’t really exist then whinging when your victim does not obey said rules. That’s just a guess, though.
OK, that will be all for the winged monkeys for now, thanks for proving my point!
So I posted a comment asking Mr Laden what he thought bullying was and that Dr Mann was in fact more guilty of bullying tactics with his Twittering about WUWT than linking to a website could be considered bullying.
It was temporarily posted pending moderation
Guess what??? The comment was moderated out
So I commented again asking simply for Mr Laden to define Bullying as commented in his earlier post.
Again, it was temporarily posted pending moderation.
Guess what, it was again moderated out. Not only no explanatory reply but noy I am locked out of commenting.
So much for CAGW sites fighting the GOOD fight

Why do so many people think that disagreement is hate?
For that matter, why do they think mocking is hate? Does anyone think Weird Al hated all the bands he parodied?
The only “hate” I have is for stupid people, and maybe willfully ignorant. I hate those people. I mean, they COULD educate themselves, or listen when someone who knows better is talking.
This is supposed to be a Science argument. There’s no hate. I don’t even hate Gleick or Mann, I just mostly pity them for their ignorance and blind adherence to ideology. At least real religions have a useful purpose.

Anthony, I’ve been coming in for a while now – I’ve never yet received instructions from you. What am I missing? How do I earn my winged monkey badge?
REPLY: Ask Greg Laden, cuz we’ve never given any out here – Anthony

Ha ha,
he is not worth it people as he is the pig rolling in the mud and wants you to be with him in it.He is getting lonely these days thus he puts on his troll hat and begs for company.
I quit trying to comment there about 2 1/2 years ago and never looked back. The same with Real Climate,SS and other warmist/alarmist circuses since they have no desire to be reasonable and credible.

Winged monkeys versus flying pigs?

Stephanie Clague says: March 28, 2013 at 12:07 pm
I am not a winged monkey, I am a stooge in the pay of big oil, well I fill up my car with petrol and my handler gives me tokens and when I have enough I get a set of knives, does that count as being in the pay of big oil?”

I saved all my big oil tokens and got a set of orange Fiestaware plates and cups. Turned out they were radioactive.

Better a flying monkey than a Dog.
Pink Floyd, Dogs (Waters, Gilmour) 17:06
You gotta be crazy, you gotta have a real need.
You gotta sleep on your toes, and when you’re on the street,
You gotta be able to pick out the easy meat with your eyes closed.
And then moving in silently, down wind and out of sight,
You gotta strike when the moment is right without thinking.
And after a while, you can work on points for style.
Like the club tie, and the firm handshake,
A certain look in the eye and an easy smile.
You have to be trusted by the people that you lie to,
So that when they turn their backs on you,
You’ll get the chance to put the knife in.
You gotta keep one eye looking over your shoulder.
You know it’s going to get harder, and harder, and harder as you
get older.
And in the end you’ll pack up and fly down south,
Hide your head in the sand,
Just another sad old man,
All alone and dying of cancer.
And when you loose control, you’ll reap the harvest you have sown.
And as the fear grows, the bad blood slows and turns to stone.
And it’s too late to lose the weight you used to need to throw
around.
So have a good drown, as you go down, all alone,
Dragged down by the stone.
I gotta admit that I’m a little bit confused.
Sometimes it seems to me as if I’m just being used.
Gotta stay awake, gotta try and shake off this creeping malaise.
If I don’t stand my own ground, how can I find my way out of this
maze?
Deaf, dumb, and blind, you just keep on pretending
That everyone’s expendable and no-one has a real friend.
And it seems to you the thing to do would be to isolate the winner
And everything’s done under the sun,
And you believe at heart, everyone’s a killer.
Who was born in a house full of pain.
Who was trained not to spit in the fan.
Who was told what to do by the man.
Who was broken by trained personnel.
Who was fitted with collar and chain.
Who was given a pat on the back.
Who was breaking away from the pack.
Who was only a stranger at home.
Who was ground down in the end.
Who was found dead on the phone.
Who was dragged down by the stone.

I learned after one post on Laden’s site that he’s not interested in fostering informed discussion (I visited it in an earnest desire to seek contrary views to Anthony’s). It was readily apparent to me that the site merely pushes either (a) sycophantic support by warmist protagonists or (b) Laden’s predilection to make snarky comments responding to sceptic posts he chooses (deleting and therefore ignoring the difficult ones). I haven’t been back since and the comments in this thread indicate that I’m not alone in this view, hence his lack of postings.

I wonder if Greg would call me a denier to my face? I have no use for cowards flinging insults via the internet. If you wouldn’t say it to my face then…

The current reality is that folks like DimLaden are in a panic. Reality isn’t behaving the way it was supposed to. They are the chosen saviors of the world, the elite who can lead us poor, ignorant monkeys to salvation. It just isn’t fair …
Look for more and more anger to build as the planet continues to cool.

These CAGW proponents have now seemingly all reverted to the same approach, simply name calling and stonewalling.
It is really quite a spectacle.

THE WINGED MONKEY
(for Greg Laden to take to heart)
Yes, I am a winged monkey
A poet both staid and funky
For all of the time
I keep it in rhyme
Exposing the braying donkey
Had to laugh! For those who don’t know — the timeless dream of all poets is to have “wings” — to write lines that fly like Pegasus! Time has proved that I am not much of a poet so, what the hell, I will settle for winged monkey.

Has anyone, or everyone, else noticed we (at least many of us) so called “deniers” have a sense of humor and fun about ourselves as well as the CAGW crowd, but none of them, as far as I can tell, seem to have any sense of humor at all? That seem very telling psychologically to me.

I’m still waiting for Greg’s ground breaking peer reviewed paper backing up his claim that men have female brains that have been damaged by testosterone.

Maybe a clue as to his thought patterns:

Some ‘science denier’ you are, Watts:

What is this? Some sort of conspiracy to fool people into thinking you aren’t a ‘science denier’? Nefarious, highly nefarious. I’d better fire up my bots, tighten my tinfoil hat and get Cook and Lew on the horn.

As has been observed, Greg is probably reading this thread.
I honestly can’t understand why he thinks we should be full of hate, hate is so unproductive!

“hate” is a Liberal buzzword. All disagreement to the Progressive/Liberal worldview is “hate”. So all who disagree are haters. ie) racists, sexists, homophobes(I love that one). Meat-eaters, tree-cutters, SUV drivers. etc.

I posted the following rather ironic, but basically true “status report” on
Greg Laden’s Blog Climate Change Denialism to show that there is no need not be
hate-mongers. I think he has no sense of humor because he refused to accept
it. I hope you guys over here will enjoy it then.
—————————————————————————–
Hello guys,
It’s gotten a little cold out here in Northern Europe and it occurred to me
maybe some of you might appreciate a first hand update on whats going on here.
We were pleased to find out that most dogs used for herding can locate sheep
buried in deep snow. Must have been a shocker for them little rascals, grazing
quite innocently in a spring-meadow one moment and then, snap, blanketed under
a couple of feet of snow. Also on the positive side, if we go outdoors it’s
amazing to experience a time-warp into our cultural heritage: snow- and
ice-scape’s with the spring sun high in the sky, just like our early masters
painted them in the Little Ice Age. Photography does a good job, but, well you
know, that special thing that paintings have, I think that’s because they
captured it in oil (no nasty chemicals or them ever changing bits in those
days).
The darker side of things is that the Great Reaper has extended – reopened
maybe more accurate – his primary harvesting season with extra frost related
jobs here and there. The extra capita count he has gained this year has to be
determined by the statisticians.
The min-temp records are toppling faster now then the max-temps did, but who
really cares about things like that? Surely, our mainstream media don’t because
they hardly mention any of them. It has to be that they – eventually – got
wiser, have stopped confusing sensationalism (and god forbid, alarmism) with
journalism; we will never know for sure (they won’t tell but there is no shame
in learning!).
Be assured we are not alarmed at all – even as this is going on for some years
now – because a warming trend cannot reverse, that would be silly after all
that extra carbon is dumped in the atmosphere. We are intelligent people and
know this is normal variability in weather and not climate. I heard a rumor
though that someone attributed this spring cold to global warming – a backward
hilly-billy boy, obviously, not aware of the consensus or who refuses to get
enlightened. You never stop laughing, how could it be that melting ice on
Greenland and the North-pole produces cold over here? Last time I had a whiskey
on the rocks it took a lot of warmth out of my hand but it stayed at 0 deg
Celsius but don’t take my word for it as I’m not a climatologist.
There are however some people over here – I have to admit their number is
rapidly growing – who hold a grudge on leading climatologist. When people heard
that there would be no more snow and ice in winters to come, children would
read of it but never experience it, they started throwing stuff in the bin. And
now, with an ongoing economic crisis and skyrocketing energy prices, there is
no bargain in salvation. Buying new snow-shuffles, sleds, ice-skates and all
the other stuff prematurely discarded does not bide well with folks here.
Let me end with a light note and a smile. Before the snow there was a bitter
cold and dry wind. While walking at the beach I saw a father and his son
looking down at two dogs very actively engaged in procreation. Watching in
bewilderment the boy asks:
Daddy, why the doggies doing funny like that?
Well son, thats what global warming gets you. The cold dry wind has blown sand
in the eyes of the dog in front, who is now in pain and blinded. His very
concerned and loving friend has taken it upon himself to push and guide his
stricken pal home.
PS. I found my way over here from WUWT, reading that people were accused of
committing hate-crimes over here, can’t see that. As a Dutchman, I’ve been
often told, that we as a people lack the sophistication and sensitivity of the
global civilized citizen, could be a cultural blindness then. Let me make up
for that, if by chance we should meet I’ll throw a Dutch-party and we discuss
Geert Wilders, acclaimed to be the next Adolf.

“ALL WE OWN, WE O-Owe.” The flying monkeys, like the guards, were liberated upon the death of the wicked witch. They were conscripts, forced to do her bidding.
It’s not really that apt of an analogy for we “Watts-uppers”. I believe we are all volunteers.

Pompous, humorless and uncivilized – why is it all the AGW-pushers are so rude, so unpleasant and use such violent language? Why is it they can’t envisage the possibility they may have got things wrong? All symptoms of Narcissism, in my experience.
I gave up looking at any of their blogs let alone trying to reason with them years ago – I wouldn’t want such unintelligent bigots around my dinner table either.

“Denier” is a very hateful term, yet thrown around casually here it seems. So if I don’t trust science from people who (once you’ve read the emails) have deliberately tried to stop publication of opposing views, conspired to have journal editors sacked, agreed privately that the hockey stick is bad science but don’t say it publicly, refuse to hand over data illegally (thank god for the time limits, eh Phil?), I’m a denier? So black is the new white and I’m hateful. Enjoy yourselves kids!
