Weblog awards – WUWT wins for the third time

That puts WUWT in the hall of fame for the science category, and we cannot be in that contest again. WUWT also wins “Weblog of the Year”. Thanks to everyone for your support!

Congratulations on the wins — from the long-defunk “Bad Science Times”.

Well done.
Work up this morning to the usual lies from the BBC stating that we sceptics believe “do not believe CO2 causes warming” (or similar words).
As a result I wrote the article: “Bomb the BBC like the IRA?”
In the US, you may not think twice about these “thoughts”… but in the UK, and particularly in Scotland, the police use the anti-terrorist act to suppress any kind of behaviour they don’t like. E.g. even taking a photograph in a public space has resulted in people being arrested under the UK’s draconian anti-terrorism laws … and someone once heckled a politician at a party conference and was deemed a terrorist.
So keep up the good work!

Congratulations to Anthony, the mods, guest posters, and others who contribute to this marvelous site. I’m a lay person, so much goes over my head, but I never cease to find the topics generally fascinating. I visit this blog pretty much daily, and it is the only blog I follow regularly. Well done, and keep up the great work!

Just turned on my computer. Absolutely brilliant news and really well deserved. Congratulations and thank you again for all your work Anthony and various contributors. I’m so pleased at this news! I feel like dancing around the room! Well done to Jo Nova and James Delingpole too.

Fantasic effort—Congrats!
(The only reason they will not let you compete next time is they know you would win again!)
Keep doing what you’re doing….

Congratulations. This is a site for sore eyes, (and minds.) If it were not for this site and a few others, I think I’d lose faith in mankind.

“Best” in the case of the Bloggies means the site that can muster the most internet votes. WUWT has clearly demonstrated that capability. Whether the content presented by any of the Bloggies winners is accurate or their readers are being the best informed is another matter entirely, quite outside the scope of The WebBlog awards. Popularity and quality are not the same thing.
Enjoy all the prestige this award confers…

Congrats, Anthony!
I also voted for all the other winners you listed. (Stick with me, baby…. ;-p )
Guess this means you’re the “Weblog of the Millennium.” 😀

This is a truly well deserved victory that will well and truly irritate Gore, Hansen et al. How sweet is that?! Congratulations to all at WUWT!!:]

Whether you had won or not you and The Mod Squad (past and present) earned it.

Congratulations Anthony, you have created a blog with an ethos which has struck a chord with the hitherto voiceless majority. You and your invaluable moderators have created a blog where dissent, argued sensibly, is not only tolerated but is actively encouraged. Discussions abound, opinions from all quarters are given for all to see and to comment upon. No other blog dealing with the topics listed in your heading banner comes anywhere near.
The eclectic mix of postings means a lot to the followers of your blog: we can read of wild South Sea adventures (thanks Willis) and of changes in solar activity discussed in terms almost out-with the reach of the untutored. It’s a mix which ‘hits the spot’.
Thank you everyone involved in the continuation of this excellent blog. Your award is greatly deserved.

Hearty Congratulations Anthony!
The general public may not realize the significance but my assessment of these awards is that they far exceed the merits of a Nobel Prize, which are given out for far less achievement.

As a skeptic I don’t often agree with anyone on anything but on this, I agree with the crowd here. Congratulations, thrice over!
